I am actually not sure anymore if Hinata loves Naruto that deeply.

 

Look at this..

Naruto is about to die, and she looks worried, but that's it. She tries to reach him, but I can't tell that she's desperate or that she's about to lose her most precious person..

Neji is about to die. She looked like this the whole chapter, much more emotionally crushed.

 

then look at this

They got at least like 7 panels of them looking like this. They look terrified and devastated, all the mixed emotions..and at least tears are involved.

 

All in all, I expected a bigger reaction from Hinata this chapter. She is certain Naruto is going to die. And I don't think it's an anti-pairing argument or anything, (tbh I don't think it makes much of a difference.) But it was an interesting observation.

Anyways, I think this was the last reaction from Hinata, because she kind of closed her role in it by herself. So this was her only chance to show something. Neji wasn't dead yet either. I just dont think it registered to her yet what was going on and she passed out before she could start crying, but I will say she may just be thinking of him as a friend now, remember the "I want to be by his side" thing when Shikamaru was revived. Her reactions have gotten less romantic like.

It is an interesting observation. Especially the comparison of Hinata's reaction to Neji's death to her reaction to Naruto dying before her eyes, so to speak, and it makes the latter appear surprisingly underwhelming considering Hinata's much touted 'love' for Naruto.

 

As for the comparison of Hinata/Kushina vs. Sakura/Kushina, I think the mistake NH fans seem to make is trying to compare Kushina's bond with Naruto (her son) with Hinata's virtually nonexistent   relationship with Naruto as a potential spouse. Which doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, and it's definitely not what Kushina by "find a girl like me." The comparison between Kushina and Sakura is made through the similarities in their personalities and behavior, and also their respective relationships with Minato and Naruto and how they evolved.

I don't know if it's that so much as Hinata's feelings not being as deep as they've been made out to be in the first place.

Well it's no wonder not many talks about Hinata in this chapter in terms of reaction. She just found out that something is wrong with Naruto and that's it. Sakura took "don't die on me" role as in arguably important role in terms of romance subplot because you always seem to have that scenario when a love interest is by his/her side to the very end, literally.

Safe to say that the war arc decreased a the sales of the manga when the difference between 2011 to 2012 is irrelevant.

I'd say it was more due to money issues than popularity. Notice One Piece also decreased in numbers.

It's more of a situation where Kishi uses characters to give context, instead of thinking what characters would do in this context. For example, Sakura has cried more for Naruto (in the sand arc) and than at chapter 632.

If I'm not mistaken, the information about Kushina's cooking came from a databook and it only said that Minato's favorite food was Kushina's cooking.  That doesn't necessarily mean she was a good cook.  It could have just been that he was afraid not to say her food was the best.  

 

The assertion that Hinata is like Kushina is totally absurd, and I feel sorry for anyone who truly believes that.  Minato found Sakura reminiscent of his wife, and he ought to know -- certainly better than some biased fan grasping at straws.

You know, tsundere cooking is often joked as bad one. I still remember another anime the protagonist was like "Whoa! It's good for once!"

You know what's more funny. This would have parallel to anime Sakura in cooking aspect. Yes, anti, make it into perk. Oh man....anyway, filler arc is about to start, huh? Cool. I'll watch. Love MinaKushi.

Next week. As the name says, it will cover Kakashi's ANBU years up to leading Team 7. Judging by what's been implied in the manga, This period is the darkest moments of Kakashi's life. So, I'd say it's going to be a fairly depressing arc. But I'd like to hope for some more MinaKushi moments before the eventual attack in this arc through Kakashi's eyes.

I think both Naruto and Sasuke will come out of this alive and  with a power up . Madara is still out there, stronger than ever and there is no one left to defeat him .He  will likely go to take his second eye and possibly fight Kakashi and Minato while there so I don't think that is where Gaara is going .

 

The only possible things for Sasuke are rinnegan or , more likely , since now he is no position to refuse , Orochimaru might use the curse seal on him again , which would also save his life .

 

For Naruto , I really hope it's not the other half of Kurama  and hope he never gets Kurama back at all , not sealed inside him anyway . That would also make sense  since he is supposed to free all tailed beasts in the end. There's no point in resealing the fox  only to free it again later and put his life in danger again . This will also make it that when he will fight Sasuke , if it will still happen at all , he will be fighting with his own power . I think his power up , and what will save his life too , is something So6p related , as others have said .

But Minato DID said he has a gift for Naruto, and I'm sure it wasn't Sasuke he was talking about.

He was obviously talking about the other half of Kurama that is inside him.

I think it's because of development issue on Kishi's part. I think he wanted to show desperation only on the last page.

Moreover, Hinata might thought there was still a chance to save Naruto because she was running to him. Why was she running to him ? Did she believed she could do anything to stop his heart from stopping ? It's weird.

 

I think you're not entirely wrong, but I think Kishi did wanted to write it like it.

I think Hinata is just a tool in the writing of this story. Kishi used her only when it was convenient for the plot IMO. This time, she was used only to show that Naruto's heart was about to stop and to increase drama about it. By involving Neji who is dead, she is showing there is pretty much nothing to do now for Naruto. The talk between Madara and zetsu (I think it's with him) is for the same purpose. They are talking about the fact Naruto will die because of the removing of Kurama.

thats how desperate vj gets when a narusaku moment comes another example is that he says rtn is filler and technically it is even though kishi took part in it but he is only saying that cuz of the ns development we got to see throughout the film cuz back then he was spaming ss will kick ns to the curb this was when new trailers started coming out but when the movie came out he did a 180 and considered it all filler anyway recently on tumblr he's been trying to connect au hinata and menma as naruhina even though he says rtn is filler and thinks ns is filler materal and does not deserve to be canon like i said thats how desperate he gets it can be funny or just plain idiotic

Now really....

Its very annoying saying that (if it ever happens) naruto must fight Sasuke with his OWN power...

Kurama is a PART of naruto (dont forget Bijuus are a mass of chakra) , like the Sharingan is a PART of Sasuke.

A FAIR fight would be Naruto(without Kurama) and Sasuke without his Sharingan

( why not?? since naruto doesnt have his type of "Sharingan" = Kurama?)

So dont say Naruto with his OWN power, since Naruto and Kurama ARE one person together...
