Well Minato already left Sakura in charge of looking after Naruto, but maybe he can wish the best of them as well as maybe telling Naruto that Kushina will be so proud.

When I read your post i got an epihnany and as usual Im probably late to the party, but, it sounds like Minato's "I leave him in your capable hands" means much more, not just now while he fights and Naruto recovers, but rather forever. He knows he wont be their and since she is like Kushina he is happy to let Naruto to be watched over by Sakura from now on. :)

That's what he meant, according to Rikuto and MoonStar. That's why we are all happy in the first place. It's not only that but everything else in the chapter.

I really don't understand how Sasuke will be a Hokage as a missing nin. I guess that's where the surprising part comes in. It could be interesting to see how he's even going to do it. I'm starting to think Kishi did this on purpose to make her decide who she is going for, as like indirectly choose who she loves.

Good point. I hope she chooses Naruto without thinking about it, or she has an epic flashback of everything Naruto has done for her and she screams out to everyone she loves Naruto!!

( Hey slex, maybe you could print out a copy of your build up for her to read :hehehe: :hehehe: :hehehe: :hehehe: )

I just realized something... Remember how Naruto went all like "How can I become Hokage if I can't even save one friend?". So now he has no choice but to become Hokage in order to save Sasuke from... err whatever he's suffering from this time.

This is pretty much it, I think.

Sasuke would have to kill every Konoha shinobi (and many non-Konoha shinobi) -- including Naruto -- and then intimidate whoever remained so he could become Hokage.  I don't see that happening.  I think the only way Sasuke would ever be Hokage is if Naruto let him, lol.

Not going to lie but I'm starting to think this is a good idea from Kishi. The whole Hokage thing. I don't know how it's all going down, but first this battle. That said the reason why I'm starting to think this is because when you think about it, Hokage is the title for best of the best. Naruto is not better than Sasuke (according to him of course) so beating him for the title is like a symbolic of being the best as well as being acknowledged that you're strong. Yeah, I like this more than I thought.

As for Sakura, I get the feeling Kishi will go back to the Chunnin Exam, where she almost raised her hand to quit just to save Naruto's dream. Isn't it odd that Kizuna book and the movie made us remember that her wish is to have Naruto's dream come true? Well not odd but timing. Not to mention the book acknowledged it as a love moment. I wonder... If Kishi planned this, I will bow down.

I couldn't remember the post made from one member here, but it seems on several forums I visited. A lot has been chat about Sakura obtaining the Yin Seal theoretically lead to another NS in several of the small forums I visited  I do not know who originally leaked that source, but what do you guys think? Would Naruto commented the Diamond Yin Seal on her forehead that would trigger flashbacks of chapter 3 when Naruto was disguise as Sasuke made the comment to her about her forehead.

Indeed. All and all, it'd likely be a pro NS moment with Sakura not standing for Sasuke and thus showing everyone that, no, Sakura's on Naruto's side.

Well probably Sasuke will try to push for Hokage right after the juubi is defeated.  And I kinda see Naruto trying to tell Sasuke what Itachi told him, but Sasuke will dismiss it as lies. As for Sakura she will support Naruto. Now here is the thing. Naruto may be willing to give up becoming Hokage in order to save his friend but not sure what will Sakura do in that situation.

I really wish Movie 6, road to ninja was canon. Seriously its pretty much all NS. Cant say enough awesome things about it. U really get a feel for the day to day with Naruto and Sakura, just hangin in the village and how they alwasy keep in touch. It's  funny cause everyone's personalites are reveresed and although Naruto and Sakura are not effected by it, their roles have swithced as well. Naruto wants to get back and Sakura is goofing off.

Was their a scene on the swing? I saw a gif and thought it was fantastic.

Also sakura gets to meet Naruto's parents, Kushina tells him to hit on Sakura, Sakura kicks ass, and Naruto saves her bridle style yet again. Sigh how great.

I don't think Naruto will give Sasuke the title in a pity way. He already said he's going to be Hokage to Sasuke in the same chapter, as in like, "Not if I have something to say about it." The best way to end is to have Sasuke trust Naruto as a Hokage, which is also acknowledging him.

I can see her telling Naruto she won't forgive him to drop his dream like that. She does wish for him to succeed, so if he goes down, she will follow.

Well in the movie and manga, even that book, they all stated that Sakura wants him to achieve his dream, being Hokage. So seeing Naruto lose to Sasuke for Hokage is disappointing to her, because if Naruto just throw it away, it's not him anymore. It's like in that one cartoon, where the protagonist no longer have the power, so he can be free, but the love interest, before pairing confirmed, was disappointed because he has no goals or anything, just himself. Basically, he threw away what made him to begin with.

In my opinion, it would be easier for Sasuke to found his own village. Well, he can always rule Otogakure together with Orochimaru. It actually brings back nostalgic memories. There was this NS fan story where Sasuke was a kage. Well, such development ended in a very tragic way. I think the fic was titled "Fool me once, shame on me" .

I want to talk about a think with you guys in regards to this Hokage matter, Sakura's character and her love for the both boys.

We all know that the best thing SS clings on is the fact that no one told Sakura about the Uchiha wipe-out plan.

I am fairly positive Kishi will bring this up when Sasuke will expose his reasons to become Hokage, yadda yadda.

As we know, either we like it or not, Sakura is a very merciful person and she'll probably go 'few tears mode on enabled' about this fact.

However, it will come in conflict, for sure, with the fact that she supports Naruto's dream. Or at least she did.

So how do you find this ? How do you think it will take place. And before thinking about dismissing it, I say to think seriously, we still have a bridge to jump on and that is SS even though we know NS will be cannon in the end. But Kishi will play the red-herring move on the fandom once again. And do remind, as I said, that Sakura is a merciful person and she might be highly conflicted with everything.

Now, taking all this into consideration, all the factors, characters, personalities, development etc, how do you see this happening? What outcome, what influence on Sakura/NS interaction so on and so forth.

I can hypothesize basing on my own life experience. And my experience tells me that a girl (or a young woman) can grow out of her love. Because when we maturate, our system of values changes too and becomes much more complicated. And a lot of things rival our past affections. One of these things is the understanding of common benefit. I think that Sakura treasures her ties with Konoha and friends more than her childhood love. This time she will have to make a choice. It's a part of achieving full adulthood.

Interesting, indeed. OMG I LOVE THE NEW QUOTE FEATURE BTW!

And it's true that Sasuke's action don't excuse his behavior, however, knowing Sakura and her behavior and fear this might happen.

But as you said, this might be her final form of development.

When she joined the fight in the last chapter, Sakura basically asked Naruto (!) to put his trust in her.  Well, the Hokage case will turn to be another fight in a broader sense. It will permanently damage Sakura's image and cancel her recent progress if she chooses to go back on her own words.

That, I know. I was asking because we all know how Kishi likes to play with his twists and given Sakura's confidence, she is really merciful when it comes to people's loss, so on and so forth. So while yes, she might show pity for Sasuke, tho' everyone will scream love, I was wondering how you guys see this in the context of who to support, how she'd understand the Uchiha massacre, so on and so forth.

I just hope Kishi doesn't troll too hard.
