Like RedDelicious said Danzo is taller than Karin and there's the possibility that he missed her heart and pierce her shoulder instead, even if Danzo confirms that "he was hit right through his heart right though the hostage". We know Karin was stabbed by Sasuke's chidori spear no doubt about it just by judging from the blood coming from her mouth so she's wounded and probably her life is hanging in the balance. This is all suspense from Kishi's part to make us anxious like crazy I'm sure we all remember 437 when Pain stabbed Hinata and yet she was still alive and well. He can make the same thing with Karin we can't avoid the fact that the chapter title has a double meaning if we analyze the manga correctly.

So i am no medic student, but if her shoulder was hit, I think there would be NONE presence of blood coming from her mouth.

I also said that Karin had blood coming from her mouth which means she has internal bleeding. It could be her heart, her lung, or even something else. Not necessarily have to hit her heart, but if the lungs fill with blood chances are she will cough some up.

She probably wont die immediantly, but there is a good chance she is fatally wounded.

So Sasuke, a psychopath who has killed many in his wake, betrayed his "friends" not once, but on several occasions, and is willing to use anyone to gain power for whatever reasons he has will one day decided "hey you know what, I am tired of being the villain. I am a good guy now."

Really? I mean really?

No offense to you, but from what we have gathered in the past chapters I think all the other characters have been convinced that by now he is not redeemable. In fact, I don't even think Sasuke wants redemption.

Sasuke is not really the Anakin Skywalker of the Naruto universe. You actually had to have a heart in order to change and Sasuke, never really had one. Not even when he was a "good guy." He was more like the "anti-hero." He only does something because it is beneficial to him. Unlike Anakin Skywalker however, he never really had a heart for anyone in the first place. His brother maybe, but Itachi destroyed that with the stuff he did. Madara, as well, is corrupting him even more.

I don't even know if he can be redeemed.

I really do not want to see a Star Wars ending to Naruto with Sasuke all of sudden killing Madara or whoever and then dying a heroes death.

I agree that Sasuke is practically beyond hope right now, but remember one of the themes is surpassing the previous generation. Sure, Sasuke can die for all I care, but considering Kishi I'd say the last minute redemption is possible. Probably something like Madara attacks Naruto, then Sasuke takes the hit. No declaration saying "I'm the good guy now" or something like that but at the very least, it symbolizes his redemption.

- I'm goin' with Karin's not dead. Look at the panel: Danzo is screaming and Karin is blankly looking at Sasuke going "Huh?" She's not sad or in pain, she's saying "Wha?" Expect some wacky-jutsu to protect her.

And anyway, no matter how dead she looks with that sword going through her, Sasuke told her not to move. If he was going to kill her, he wouldn't have said anything.


- Karin is Sasuke's healer just as Sakura is Naruto's, yet Sasuke has to get killed, then drain life out of someone else to survive, while Naruto gets his ass kicked and has powers to heal himself, or does the hopsital time if necessary. You never see Sakura relegated to the role of Naruto's personal assistant/nurse/spare chakra bank.

I can see that ending badly for Sasuke, with Karin getting killed and him realizing that wherever he is will be his last battle.


- Madara is really controlling his life, as in his statement about taking Karin along. It also shows that Sasuke may not have taken her along, underlining the "she's a tool" (lol) theory. She was not brought along for her protection or for any S/K bond.

But, I also think Sasuke is letting Madara manipulate him for a purpose.


--On a more troubling note, Kishi is confirming that Sasuke's now gone over to the dark side, and Sakura is headed straight for him.


---Also, still holding out for the hat thing! No matter how implausible it seems. Taunting Naruto with his dream? That would give us something to really hate him for!

I didn't mean to imply that she wasn't hit in the lungs. I was focussed on the argument that
since Danzo was hit square in the heart, so was Karin. I was trying to show how her cut
could have been all the way out to her shoulder, if we relied only on geometry.

I highly doubt that Sasuke will like to wear the hat of the leader from the same village he despise so much, most likely he will burn the hat to ashes because he hates anyone and anything that comes from Konoha.

Not to mention the obvious symbolic meaning to him destroying the thing.

Especially when you consider what Sasuke said at the end. "That's one down, Brother."

The Avenger isn't going to stop until he's killed everyone who might even be remotely connected with the Uchiha Massacre. The Elders are next. Sasuke might not even stop when the Elders are dead, he may want to keep killing just to try and fill in that void left by the death of his family.

Having said all that, I'm sure Karin will live. After all, why would Sasuke tell her to not move if he didn't care whether she lived or died? However, as earlier posters have said, her trust in Sasuke is going to be shaken. She's felt his chakra going cold and dark, and then there's that shocked/stunned look on her face as he stabs through her.

I highly doubt Sakura will see that scene, as Sai should be doing his best to stall her. But she will most likely find him eventually, as it would be pretty anticlimatic to call off the hunt after only a few hours. I'm thinking she'll come across Suigetsu and Juugo first.

Better not. Not that I want Karin to die but I don't want Sakura just suddenly come out of nowhere and save her. That will raise up this crazy fandom's hopes of SS being canon...

well let's see here....sakura saving karin sounds really possible right now. and that makes me think about how in an kishi interview he supposedly said one of them was family with the hokage. could she be tsunades family??? or even weirder.....danzo's daughter or something . and i can no longer see sasuke having any sort of a relationship what so ever after this. how can sakura and naruto possibly still love him if he just killed someone for solely revenge. but i'm a bit unsure about one thing.....or more like two. one...shisui's eye: could danzo have used it? why is sasuke's eye bleeding...is he using mangekyo? and this better not be some stupid illusion where we have to keep reading for another 5 weeks only to disover that "this is only the beginning of the eye battle".

and there's so much that we can see from the possible karin and sasuke thing here. i mean....i kinda do believe that sasuke missed karin (thats why he told karin not to move). but idk...with kishi's big message at the end....would kishi actually state a false action on his manga???? and also...with her bleeding out of her mouth. kishi probably doesn't over think the situation that much where he studies what areas u have to puncture for blood to flow out of their mouth. just anytime that someone gets severely injured he'll probably draw that. and also...remember sasuke's genjutsu??? could he have made danzo think that he had karin but in actual life he didn't? idk....its so complicated. i'll just wait till next week.

If a lot of pain is inflicted pretty quick, then a body will probably go into shock. Even if she doesn't feel it due to being in shock, that doesn't lessen the pain any or make her any better off.

Her throat...her stomach...i think he missed the heart, and pierced her more on top, right between both lungs, and a few centimeters north of her heart. Sasuke said don't move...and i think he might have used Karin as a blue print to hit Danzou right where he wanted too.

It's not whether Sasuke tried to kill Karin or not. It's the fact he treated his last ally like a pincushion. After his abondonment of Jugo and Suigetsu, he was already teetering on the edge of pure evil. With this act, he's jumped off and is now nothing but a villian.

There's no deeper meaning. There's no secret agenda. There's no redemption here. There's no last act of good. He's evil, and he needs to be taken out. Everyone but Naruto agrees, and pretty soon, I think he's going to realize the only way to "save" Sasuke is to put an end to him.

I doubt Sasuke is that good, your thinking more along the lines of Itachi and his genjutsu skill level. As for Karin's fate even though Sasuke may have told her that, the evil physcotic smile/laugh after he stabbed Karin and Danzou makes me believe he didn't give a s*** about Karin.

He hit either her lung or her heart, in which she would be dead.

Or somehow, Sasuke activates his own Izanagi and saves Karin.

Or a genjustsu to suprise Danzo.

No offense to Karin supporters, but that's rather... meh......

Either way, I bet Madara wants Sasuke to use Shisui's MS to activate Sasuke's EMS.
