i can imagine a sakura vs sasuke battle where sakura is failing miserably but then naruto arrives all of a sudden (surprise, surprise) and then says "remember when you promised that we'd save sasuke together? well, you're keeping that promise." and then they kill (in other words "save") sasuke together.
and they live happily ever after. :3

This still reminds me of the song Hero by Skiller

This reminds me of the what is happening now in Chapter 474. Sakura is saying "We're (as in her and Naruto) falling off the edge."

Someone save me from the hate

Again Naruto digresses that he isn;t perfect and that he is trying the best he can, and of course, Sakura also agrees that everyone is human, but sometimes things need to be done to save someone from something.

It's just another war
Just another family torn
Girl: Falling from my faith today
Just a step from the edge
Just another day in the world we live

This reminds me of what the everyone keeps telling Sakura and Naruto. "It's war, this stuff happens" despite them not accepting it and losing faith in the fellow clans

This I can see happening when the fight between Sasuke and Naru-Saku. Just Sakura being the hero to Naruto and Naruto being the Hero to everyone including Sakura and Sasuke.

That's it, I am definitely doing this video whether people like NaruSaku or not. I am going to make it for the pairing because it remidns me so much of it.

Who was he to dismiss her feelings so easily? So she had gone to confront Sasuke. Her intentions being to protect Naruto by putting him down permanently in spite of the pain it would cause her, and with the certainty in her broken heart that Naruto would hate her and then turn to Hinata.

After thinking about the chapter some more I realized that I feel really bad for Sai. I know a lot of people are being harsh with him over the guilt tripping, but one thing that I noticed in this chapter was how badly he wants to be thought of as part of team 7. I don't know if kishi meant anything like this, but I feel really bad for him. He tried to help Naruto with his burdens and he was turned away, so he decided to do things on his own and caused problems with Sakura. He tried to take burdens from Sakura then, but she also just turned him away with a fake smile. Also, Naruto's image of the perfect team 7 doesn't include Sai.

Sai is right there though, wanting to be part of their struggles and yet he is largely going unrecognized.

The shattering image of Team Seven was truly heartbreaking... I think Naruto has finally grasped that things really can't go back to the way they once were...

Actually, Sasuke knows what he is doing. He is choosing evil, essentially. He chooses to stay in the darkness, that is choosing to be evil. It makes it even more horrible knowing that he willingly decides to do these things. He said himself he didn't care what happened to anyone else, or the world, as long as he grew closer to his revenge. Gaara saw that Sasuke knew perfectly well what he was doing; where Gaara pretty much didn't know any better, Sasuke does. That's why Gaara saw that it was hopeless with him.

as ive said Its her perception. its what she believes will happen. She is willing to make the sacrafice of any chance of Naruto loving her, so she can save him.

whether she trully believes that Naruto will choose hinata over her because of this action is an uncertainty. She knows of Hinatas confession and sacrafice. and may see it as a logical outcome of her killing Sasuke one of narutos closest bonds.

as Sai said she also knows you might hate her. thus it makes logical sense where she might feel something like that would happen.

Its more likely though that Naruto and Sakura will have a little conversation afterwards.

If that kind of thing actually happened, I'd honestly lose every last bit of respect I have for the manga. I'll be frank; I'm only in it for the bond between Naruto and Sakura now. The general direction of the series otherwise took a dive off a cliff a while back to the point where I can't even claim it's very good anymore. Such an illogical move would just... well, it would be indefensible.

I suspect there'd sooner be no pairing resolution than such an outcome, however.

I really hope NaruSaku is the final product of this because like dl316bh it's the only reason why I m still attracted to this manga anymore to be honest.

Yeah, we pretty much are on the same page in regards to the manga.

The "our pairing or bust" thing is frighteningly accurate for a lot of the nowhere-near-canon pairings. I've run across folks who do not care if it makes no damn sense in context of the story as long as their pairing hooked up. Which is really the reality of ninety percent of Naruto pairings, but few wish to admit it; I've always thought that NaruSaku being the closest real pairing the manga has is what's painted a target on it the worst of all.

I'm not really worried. Things have to get messy before they're resolved. Kishi has said before that the series is 'far from over', and continuing to develop narusaku without throwing some serious uncertainty into their relationship would be a tad boring. I suspect he's trying to complicate things to make their relationship stronger in the end.

On a different note, I think Kishi made Sasusaku much darker in this chapter than it's ever been before "Even if it means killing the one she loves". When you will go so far as to kill the person you love because you don't think you can save them from the evil that's consuming them, that's not true undying love: that's an unhealthy relationship. Now, if Kishimoto decides to go down that path with Sakura, then that's his decision, but it would complete change Sakura from the confident girl she is now to a truly dark character. I personally love her character because of her motif (a cherry blossom that is blooming). If she did this, then we would never get to see her truly blossom, which would be a shame.
I agree that the shattered image of Team 7 was very moving. I think it is an important moment in the series. This is the first time that Naruto has had serious doubts about being able to rebuild their team and making everything go back to the way it was. Personally, I'm rooting for him to find a solution because although I'm not too fond of Sasuke, Naruto has worked too hard for this to just fail now.

Thats a bad comparison, i believe u still like ur ex because he did liked u and was nice, etc.... but sasuke didnt cared about sakura all along, he said it! he cares alot more about naruto, tell me any sweet conversation sasuke had with sakura? the bench scene it was naruto, they only talked when he left, and even with her crying he still didnt show "caring" feelings... how can u love when u dont get anything from the other person, thats not a relashionship she is living a lie...
The only unconditional love that exists is mother\father love, cuz only a mother can forgive everything to her child, sakura dont know anything about sasuke well they almost never talked! I trully dont believe someone can love another if theres REALLY nothing in return, the only thing he gave to her was suffering, humilliation, some kicks and some punchs...

Are you seriously trying to negate Sakura's love for Sasuke just because he doesn't love her back? She loves him. I'm a NaruSaku fan, do NOT misinterpret what I am about to say.

A person can love someone without them loving you back. To be IN love, in my opinion, is for both to accept that they are meant for one another. (hence why I am a narusaku fan, Sasuke has no room in his heart for loving anything other than revenge.)

At no point in my argument did I say Sakura was being logical in her love. Love isn't logical, they can hurt you, tear you apart from the inside out, but you still manage to have strong feelings for them. I'm not sure if you've ever felt like that about someone. Someone that you couldn't let go of, someone you knew was beautiful, and someone you respected enough to continue to care about them even if they put you down. Love is a messed up thing some times, it isn't as simple as dropping it. But in the end, there are choices, you can choose to leave that person to try and forget and move on, which Sakura is TRYING to do.

Anyway. yea. I don't blame Sakura for loving Sasuke or at least still having feelings for him. I understand it's not logical, but you can't help how you feel. Maybe she'll be completely turned off from him after he almost kills her in this fight they're about to get into. I just really hope Naruto doesn't try to move on.
