This game is making me very frustrated right now
The level where you have to chase down the ammo dealer is being stubborn and impossible for me!!

Oh my god! I know what you mean... It's like the Attack of Infinitely Spawning Enemies Ep. II....

Just try to stick inside the rooms and walls, use your 'nades/flashes to buy some time. Try to find a gun with a grenade launcher and ALWAYS watch your back...and up... down...everywhere.

I'm doing that level for the second time and I HATE IT SO MUCH. DDDD8

My advice, as slow and annoying and repetitive as it may be, is just to make sure you've taken care of all the enemies in one area. Move slowly-- This is a definite way to make sure you aren't shot or stabbed in the back, 'cause enemies won't respawn behind you. =D

So, what did you guys think about the
scene where you, as an undercover CIA agent, massacre the people in Russia?

I thought it was pretty brutal, and accurate. Since you are going to do less-than-human things while you're undercover and infiltrating a terrorist unit. If you want to live, do what the Romans do.

It's quite an accurate depiction of espionage. Plus, it's a video game, so it was quite creative and impressive on the creator's part. Not to mention, gutsy.

I personally disagree, while it is true that undercover operatives may have to do things they don't want to, I don't believe they would ever participate in a terrorist act this big.

While I haven't had the chance to play the game yet, friends of mine have told me how it was implemented, and I think it was rather pointless and the fact you can skip it helps prove the fact it wasn't necessary to add in the first place.

Now, before I get a bunch of people saying "ITS A VIDEO GAME, ITS NOT REAL HURF DURF", I know that already, and I know that other games are just as bad, if not worse. But the thing is, in most other games, they don't try to show it as anything other than pointless violence, while IW try to have a more realistic and serious campaign. In the first MW, they made a great campaign, however from what I have heard of the second, the campaign is alot more over the top, similar to a action packed Hollywood movie or something. That isn't really a bad thing, I love games like that too, but trying to add a scene such as that to make the game seem deeper than it actually is kind of annoys me, and it just seems like it was added in for the sake of controversy and to add hype to the game. And it worked.

I would like gaming to be recognised as a valid form of entertainment with people seeing that games aren't just for kids and can have a deep and complex story, but that won't happen if gaming studios are going to add a controversial scene, just for the sake of controversy.

Anyway, that's just my view on it, I believe most people here will disagree.

Nice. I had no idea that this topic would be this popular here. haha. The game is way cool, well as of right now. I'm mostly online though but eh still intense.
I completey agree with that ammo level. It's insane, seriously took me forever! ha!

Meh I didn't really find any reason to get as sensitive about it as people were making it out to be. Sure in real life I could never do that, but it's a game. The level was made more to make Makarov come off as ruthless and evil, which it succeeded in doing. Sure IW pushed the envelope, but in the end they're pixelated AI not real people.

Now I'm trying to be fair here, but honestly would people really be this upset over that mission had 9/11 never happened? Maybe... A small amount possibly, but most likely it wouldn't be overblown as it is now, and people wouldn't care nearly as much. Besides as far as morality in games go in my view it's no different from going around any GTA game killing or mowing down innocent pedestrians.

Not to mention that if you don't play the mission. You'll be real confused as to why Russia is attacking the US in the first place.

Anyways how about the ending though? That was quite the intense ending. I can't wait to see how Modern Warfare 3 is going to continue this.

The ending is very intense thought the button smashing kinda ruined it i think it was kinda weird.
I think the 3rd game might continue with soap and price collecting intelligence to prove what sheppard was doing.

Yeah but

Price shooting down a chopper with a pistol, and Shepard getting a knife in his eye were pretty much the most badass parts of the ending.

It's going to be interesting where this whole US - Russia conflict ends up by the next game.

Not to mention
Makarov's still on the loose and Price and Soap seems like they still haven't cleared their names.

Not like that matters. After all at least Price had the balls to try and stop the war by blowing up the ISS. Can't say the same for anyone else.

Obviously in the next installment we'll see the conclusion of this whole makarov business. That and I hope we get to see Russia get attacked after what happened in this game. It'll be nice to see them burn Moscow to the ground as they said.

Veteran's mode seems to be a lot harder than the previous one. sleep.gif I'm not really sure if they will make another Modern Warefare, I thought it was hinted a year or 2 ago that they were thinking of a possible Call of Duty Future Warfare. happy.gif

I don't even see how they could make future warfare i mean Call Of Duty recently has been making their weapons super epic (like the Javelin) i couldn't imagine how epic their versions of future weapons are.

Modern Warfare is their new IP.

You WILL definitely see MW3 in another 2 years, if Bobby Kotick will do what he says (exploit/milk the franchise). Plus, the ending was a cliffie.

Futuristic warfare? Not likely.

We can always dream lol. But i agree Bobby Kotick (errghhhhh i hate that guy) will milk this series which i would imagine will end up with like 5 games seeing the massive popularity of the MW2. Hopefully they can come up with a better story line then this kinda hectic one for the next one.

If Kotick gets so much as an inkling that it would sell millions, you can pretty much rest assured they'll make a "Future Warfare".

With laser beams?! No seriously, if there was a 'Future Warfare' I want to see it with beams, like sci-fi.... I'm a geek like that.
