here is the "offending line" I think the editor is just blowin' smoke after receiving a disapointment

Honestly, the blatant biases of some people are getting really annoying. This makes me wonder if we can get an unbiased translation anywhere before the official version by Viz comes out. dry.gif

The denial I've been seeing was amusing at first, but now its just irritating. It can't have been said any clearer : Naruto still likes Sakura in a romantic way. Just because he still loves her doesn't mean its going to become cannon, but these people can't even give us this small thing. Geeze! bash.gif

/rant

I'm very happy with the steady progression NaruSaku has been getting. I will always love their relationship, and how much they've developed and grown together no matter how they end up! wub.gif Of course, I'm hoping for a NaruSaku ending, and it seems the most likely, but with all of the arguments against it, my confidence in the matter wanes a bit. sad.gif

And yes, I don't know why everyone thinks Kishi is bad at writing romance. I personally love the way he developed Naruto and Sakura's relationship. It's incredibly real and sweet! ^__^

He is bad at writing romance because naruto hasn't fallen head over heels in love with hinata tongue.gif

it is just a matter of perspective or sour grapes lol

I had a long arguement this morning on the definition of "suki" and whether it means Naruto "loves" Sakura or merely "likes" her whatever there is no difference in terms of manga anyway

The TN was from the translator, actually (it's quite dumb they put it in there; they didn't put in his other one during 451). Chances are, if they get the Hissou trans, that won't be there (most people prefer him over Cnet anyway).

Honestly, until Viz releases their translations, it is impossible to find a translation that isn't biased. Even then, you're never quite sure. However, unlike the scans, that is their job, and they have to be as faithful to the original text as possible (thus the clunkiness of the translations, that's the only time I don't care for Viz), so you pretty much get what Kishi said.

But it's besides the point. Whenever you talk about these kinds of things in English, you typically use "like" instead of "love" because it comes off kinda awkward. In context (which this is, might I add!), Like is a synonym to love, but it is the word you would use. In other words, translate however you want, the meaning still comes across. My favorite author, Ted Dekker, puts it best:

I personally think (probably bias here) that Naruto's promise to Jairaya and Pain is more important, and that it conflicts with the promise to bring Sasuke back. specially if he attacks Danzo after the meeting. Naruto needs to show his strength to the world by ridding the word of the Ataksuki, this will go a long way to get peace amonst the five Great Ninja villages. from what we've seen the other four kages are probably more likely to agree to peace than their own current Kage, who after Madara is going to be the biggest obsticle to achieving harmony amongst the nations.

Actually, I don't think it contradicts his promise, I think that if Naruto manages to save Sasuke, a person so utterly consumed by revenge and hate, then he shows that he does indeed have the ability to end the perpetuating hate and anger and vengeance that is currently afflicting the world....

Danzo is like the grumpy old man that lives all alone in an apartment building, and curses young kids for playing loud music.

That sounds like he should have a lot in common with the Mizukage's aid I forget his name but the one she is always saying "shut up or i will kill you" to

lol

of course back in his day and back in Danzou's day were pretty similar since he based his training methods on the village of the bloody mist

Oh well, as long as they continue to roll out true to Kishimoto translations, then they can be as bias as they want. The note was pretty pathetic, but w/e. Not as if we are paying for their services... so I can't be rightfully angry, just annoyed.

In any case, the fact that someone so trusted with translations, and apparently a big NH fan thought it that threatning to post a note such as that. Well then...

NaruSaku is obviously heading in the right direction(OBVIOUSLY:D)!!

Way to think positively! th_goodjob.gif

And yeah, I think that we all forget at times that these people aren't getting paid, so they don't really have a responsibility to do anything other than what they want. sweatdrop.gif

But that isn't the point, I mean posting it on a forum is one thing, but posting it on a comic that can be seen online by thousands of people is another thing. It's truly unprofessional, and i for one hate it. If you have nothing nice to say don't say it at all. I mean he could have commented on other moments before, but why now? Is it desperation, or is this person trying to start a fight? Or make a spectacle of him/herself?

But enough of that fool, Narusaku is getting very close to happening. I for one is getting very giddy, but i'm not giving my hopes up yet. Let's see how these next few chapters pan out.

I thought this chapter was pretty sweet, and I did mentally note that NaruSaku scene... but I was on another forum and one NaruHina fan said that...

People who think Sai's going to "convince" Sakura of her feelings for Naruto are going to sorely disappointed. Even if NaruSaku was going to happen, she would have to resolve her major crush on Sasuke first. She still cries over him more than three years later. That HAS to be resolved.

Well Sakura still may have a crush on Sasuke. Kishimoto hasn't made it clear one way or another so we can't say Sakura doesn't still care for Sasuke when she still might. Also, they have a point that Sakura's crush over Sasuke must be resolved. Naruto is still under the impression that she loves Sasuke, thus Sakura must resolve this problem to be with Naruto. No pairing is canon and they have a hell of a way to go before they are. sleep.gif

My interpretation, of the crying was, that she was crying over a dear friend that is lost in the darkness. Not as a crush thought, but that just my interpretation of it.

Actually, that person has a good point. Off course Sai can't "convince" Sakura how to feel but their conversation will probably provoke some kind of action or change in direction. And of course Sakura has some unresolved issues relating to Sasuke. (right Catsi?) I wouldn't want to see Sakura get with Naruto without resolving her feelings and moving on, anyway, or how can their love be truly reciprocated? That's why seeing Sai going to talk to Sakura with these kind of thoughts and flashbacks is exciting, in my opinion, because it's a step in the right direction.

I agree she does need to resolve her feelings even if only slightly and to herself before she can trully move on. That resolution is as important for Naruto as it is for Sakura herself.

And in regards to that note. Has anyone called the board mods on that person because that quite frankly was highly unprofessional and very uncalled for. Your personal reasons and likes have no place in a public translation like that.
