Word. Although I think NaruHina is an insult to both characters in the paring. It's probably what makes me dislike a little more than SasuSaku. SasuSaku may make Sakura look bad imo, but Sasuke usually gets a personality graft in the process.
From what I've seen, SasuSaku is predominantly girls. NaruHina is somewhat even and NaruSaku is predominantly boys.
While I was writing my fic, I totally came to that realization. If the Naruto series was named Sakura and it was a shoujo manga, the final pairing would SO be SasuSaku and Naruto would be that best friend character that I always root for, but end up being sorely disappointed when he doesn't get Sakura. And he'd probably end up with Hinata.

But that's not true thank god!

But I am a shoujo manga fan so that is funny! Although NaruSaku reminds me of KoizumixOtani from Lovely Complex, and that pairing was the best.

I dislike SasuSaku more than I dislike NaruHina. When I read a fanfic, I usually read for the action and what not...I read the occasional romance one, but only if they're really good. Anyhow, 99% of fics have a pairing...and then into the middle of the story, I find that its a SasuSaku...and I quit reading...there hasn't been one fic that was good enough to want me to continue reading although its a SasuSaku. On the other hand, I've read NaruHina before...don't kill me yet. Anyway, I've read them before, not many, but I have. I have to say...its a lot more tolerant for me...I guess it's because I really really really dislike(I'll refrain from saying hate, since I don't really HATE him) Sasuke as a character. He's a mean jerk...
But he's done somethings to make me more tolerant of him

See SasuSaku seriously requires better authors. I admit there are a bunch of gd ones out there, but the main portion, is sappy, bias against Naruto, and right out bashing some characters.

Obviously more NH fics are done better.

So that proves that most would prefer NH more. Given Sasuke's attitude in part 2, i reckon more than a few has abandoned SS.

Yep, definitely. SasuSaku fans are really mean...most of the time. NaruHina fans are a lot nicer in my opinion...though there are mean people in every shipping. =]
I definitely would much rather read NaruHina than SasuSaku!

Also, I hate to say it, but many NS writers are mean too. They like totally make Naruto break down, then Sakura comes back to beg for forgiveness, or like Naruto returns years later, and Sakura all of a sudden goes, "WOAH HE'S HOT!"

.... Like what are the chances of that happening?

Anyways, back on topic. SS bashes Naruto. OR intentional bashes on SS if there is another Naruto pairing. Few make Sasuke a gd guy. Most make Sakura a really really annoying.......woman.....

NH fans bash SS. Totally. Of course, half of them makes them goo-goo-gah-gah, yay! friends!

Interesting enough...least bashing...turns out to be the crack pairings. NaruIno, NaruTema and so on.

I think there's a lot of Naruto "torture" w/ the NaruSaku pairing because Sakura seems the dominant player in the pairing. It's almost always Sakura being the one to be won over, and Naruto liking Sakura right off the bat. A lot of people write her as the one who calls the shots in the relationship.

(a prime example of this Clean Through by aubreywitch. It's a great fic, but it hurts to read Naruto's point of view. It's just so...angsty and heartbreaking and...argshasf *clutches broken heart*)

I sort of like seeing that, for me (like I said, I like reading shoujo/josei stuff), it's something I don't see too often.

you know what i think it is. Majority pairings have a fighting chance for it to be canon (or most of them...I'm pretty sure KakaAnko will not happen) and so they fight and think it makes a difference....if you know what i mean.

Well, we all have our opinions. And I still agree with you. ANd yes NH fics have almost the same things, but each have a twist of their own. So yeah, still prefer it over SS fics.

I couldn't agree more. I don't like reading SS fics because they change either Sasuke or Sakura or both the characters.

In NH........Hinata goes from a shy girl to a confident version of part 2 Sakura. It changes her too much

Well, I know he talks to her. There was that one time at the hospital where she fainted...but was that a filler? I can't remember.
There's also the time when Kiba, Shino, and Hinata were re-introduced. She fainted then too...I see the pattern, do you?

Oh, and the Chuunin exams! The preliminary, Naruto cheered her on.
I don't remember any other, but there should be more.

Anyways, I count only two times on extremely seperated occasions where he even talked to her after the fillers. Meeting at the begining, and remeeting a month or so later after the meeting, forming the teams to capture Sasuke.

...That's about... it.

The fillers were just like the movies, they don't count that much in the timeline. Plus, they were just implemented to keep the manga ahead, and also, none of the fillers were in the manga, which was made first, so they count even less.

Exactly, and that conversation had so much more meaning than the random ones Sakura and Sasuke had.

That one encouraged Hinata and the one in the preliminaries was much more effective as well. NH wins SS.
