'That's a big difference'. It is a 'clear' difference but not a big one. Honestly i don't understand why they are statisfied with Boruto as a character because he doesn't offer a interesting Characterdesign. Besides not getting much attention from his father he is just a 'normal' child. The only thing which makes him somehow interesting is just the fact that he is the son of Naruto and the disciple of Sasuke -> which at the end just results in a younger/lame-clone version of the old generation. So we don't acutally change many stuff (well, we get some new kind of eye-power later on.. what a surprise)

"it can be hard to express who they are". Thats IMO a stupid reason and a false one on top of that. Kishimoto is basically saying that the 'childrends' are needed to be similiar to their parents so everyone knows that child XX is the son of YY and ZZ. It just limits the design of the next generation and actually showcase that the guys behind the manga are afraid to come out of the comfort-zone and try making 'new/interesting'-stuff.

"the Naruto story kept getting more introspective and darker and darker" thats not true, and kishimoto is lying here. Part 1 of Naruto was much more darker than Shippuden. Land-of-Waves-Arc + Chunin-Exam-Arc had more Dark-content than the whole Shippuden story. Just because you let some characters (Jiraiya, Asuma, Neji) die doesn't mean its dark-content. It's not compareable with the content from Part-1 where Gato did a public execution, where fresh genins kill each other in the Chunin-Exam or Where Zabuza is cutting Gatos head off with a kunia. They already softened the theme so Shippuden can hit a larger viewerbase for targeting the younger audience. "something that the younger boys and girls can also enjoy" Shippuden is already made for little kids at the age of 12 (or atleast with the mindset of a 12 year old kid), so why is it needed to go even lower?

Let me guess, propably characters at the same age as Naruto but we didn't see them in 'Naruto' because we were too lazy to itroduce/implement new potential for the Story. Atleast we got all the villains with 'edo-tensei' back so we didn't need new characters.

"And with Naruto and Sasuke becoming so strong and the battles getting bigger and bigger..." Thats a result of the poor Powerinflation-managment Kishimoto did. Turning Sasuke and Naruto into halfgods at the age of 16 was just too rushed and just ends up making things complicated in the future. How do you want to create exciting/interesting/close battles when Naruto and Sasuke could technically beat everyone withing a minute? Yes, you have to introduce new OP-Villains out of nowhere and make the fights bigger and bigger until we really rached Dragonball-Z level. And we already know how 'excitement' we can be when we introduce a OP-Villain out of nowhere (Kaguya). Thats why at the end of Naruto there was nothing what had something to do with 'Ninjas' at all. We will propably continue this part in Boruto.

I already made a post about this part in a other thread. He just contradicts himself and doesn't make sense. If we continue Kishimotos logic in the next Manga then it only means that Sarada isn't introduced as a special Character, and Boruto is ending up with this girl
