naruto seemed too tired and weak like a log to for him to even move .but i still think the time was kinda short..if it was like as you said, then hinata's father wouldnt had commented that there are too many for even hinata and neji to dodge..i mean if there was a simple way to just run a little to move out of the way then ,then he wouldnt had said that..thats just my opinion

She's not a mere weakling so that she can't pull him out even if Naruto couldn't move even i don't degrade Hinata that much she's a freaking shinobi have you seen what they are able to do ?

Also the time wasn't so short like i said Hinata had the time to see were the rods were gonna hit she had the time to established that then she jumps in front of Naruto and just stood there were for the time she did that she could have pulled a simple move that doesn't require much effort to pull him of to the side and even Neji had the time to catch up to them the time was certainly not short for a simple move like that .

Hinata's father said that they are not able to deflect all of the rods with their jutsu that's what he meant not that they weren't able to escape from them there is difference , also like i said there are tons of ways that they could have done it but it was done like this just so Neji could die the scene was rather forced this is so obvious and it was for the Huyga subplot i'm sorry but i'm not gonna give credit to Hinata for this when it comes to Naruto she has a one trick mind and that is what's hurting her character .

I liked the episode since I'm a Hinata and a Niji fan. OMG Niji's death was very depressing, but Naruto will revive him anyways lol.

As much as i want Neji to come back i don't think it will happen because it would make his sacrifice useless and what just happened in here but i wouldn't mind that because it will also make this "NH moment" useless bit its highly unlikely for that happen lol .

yea she said she will protect naruto ,but lol isnt that what she  did?acting like a human shield to protect him from juubi's atack?i think neji would had done the same thing even if hinata wasnt there, cause he has sworn to protect naruto as well..if naruto dies, the whole alliance is loosing..so since neji and hinata were in naruto's range, neji's death was innevitable..it ws either neji,or hinata..thats just my opinion..im still a certified narusaku fan,but i also like hinata (although she pisses me off sometimes)..you should write in english though

ps:stiu ca ti-e mai usor sa vorbesti in romana, dar cred ca ar fi mai ok sa vorbim in engleza sa inteleaga si altii ce zicem

Ok hai ca vb in engleza de acum. You are right protecting Naruto was part of the plan, it was Shikaku's plan to protect Naruto so he can give his own and Kurama's chakra to the rest of the alliance so they can stand a chance against this new enemy.

Now you are partially correct Hinata did protect Naruto this time but only once and only from 1, again I say this 1(one) flying wooden stick. After that she decided that the only way to protect Naruto was to play goalkeeper with her back turned against the attack, thus resulting in Neji's death. Hinata indirectly killed Neji. Like I said in my rants Hinata could've protected Naruto without being a goalkeeper. And Sakura's moment in this episode proves this. Even though it's a filler and it basically never happened, it does show how easily Hinata could've protect Naruto. The only thing Sakura did was put a rock in front of the attacks and she saved someones life, it was really that easy.

The time wasn't that short for her to pull him out if Neji had the time to catch them after Hinata just stood there the whole area wasn't filled with those rods only two or three rods were headed toward their direction the ones that Neji got hit there was a empty space were they were a simple move to the right or to the left would have done it plus she has the freaking Byakugan she can tell were those rods would have hit , the scene was forced just so Neji could have died that's all .

Yeah Its a possibility but its hard to do that with her one track Naruto kwon mind lol

Yeap it was forced in order to have Neji die, so we can have Naruto "doubting" himself and then rising up a better man. Too bad Neji was the one that payed the price.

A bit wrong there. What I said is that the reason why we don't dive deep with Hinata's love with Naruto is because that's not Kishi's priority. That belongs to Sakura. We don't see his dreams being mentioned, we don't see him wanting to save Sasuke, we don't see him wanting Team 7 back again, we don't see Naruto's emotional challenged, and so on and so on because that all goes to Sakura. She is the one to gain these challenges and developments, not Hinata. She is as simple as Lee. More exposure sure, but that's because it's dealing with Naruto, the protagonist.

oh man I was wrong sorry.

Yeah it always pisses me of that Naruto had to doubt himself when he already knew all of this for kitten sake he made him act OOC didn't you already learn this from Jiraiya's death ? But NOOOO! lets downgrade Naruto's character and make him look like an idiot just for Hinata's incompetence so her character can shine   but oh well it is what it is .

I'm one of the very few who didn't care about Neji's death. Shikaku's and Inoichi's deaths were more emotional than Neji's to me.

Most likely because there was only a ten second reaction from his own family

To be fair on Naruto this was the second time since Pain that Naruto had to eat his own words. Remember earlier he claimed he wouldn't let anyone die and when the Ten Tails came ninja's from HQ, the battle field and Neji all died roughly around him the same time. It was to much for him to handle being forced to face the horrors of war. Obito even called him out on his words.

I'm i the only one upset that they removed Hinata's heavy tears!?

You know, in the manga she looked so...hurt by his death, in the anime, she cried for a few seconds, then got over it.

Blah!

I was hoping for some nejihina feels...since this Is the last time...(as far as we know...)

The thing is he already knew all of that he had the resolve and i made him look like a dumbass who doesn't know what he's talking about . What was the point of Pain challenging him then ? What was the point of him facing reality then and there and coming with and answer for Pain to trust in him that he will never waver in his path ?  It was basically the same thing and yet Hinata knew this who has never faced with this but Naruto didn't when he already experienced that with Kakashi and Jiraiya being dead and the whole village being destroyed ? Sorry but its crap and it made everything he learned till now and in the Pain arc pointless .

NO "THANK YOU HINATA YOU HAVE ALWAYS BEEN BY MY SIDE" LOL The anime did good this time no  Hinata over exaggeration  Naruto just hold her hand for chakra transfer no smile at her nothing  it was all just a comrade thing like we were saying although they messed up Sakura's original reaction <sign> and one more thing Naruto wasn't giving up like many thought that was the case in the manga that was Hinata's hand not Naruto's  SP has come to their senses finally .

Well it's weird someone on deviant art said that :

look

I haven't watched it yet.

I'd figure Pierot wasn't going to screw up this time. After all the studio along with the Japanese fandom has known for YEARS the endgame pairing is NS. Kishi isn't that hard to read when it comes to pairings. Specially when the Japanese fans loved the Road to Ninja movie liking NS a lot. We can't forget Pierot aren't NH fans, on the contrary they support NS. Pierot only likes Hinata a lot that was the point of ep 166, they had a field trip with adding flashy animation and a cute Hinata little girl with puffy red cheeks. Can't wait for 631 to be animated I feel sorry for anime fans who don't read the manga. With this episode they will scream NH is canon getting their hopes up. They're going to get their hopes and dreams crush badly. Like Inferno said after this Hinata will return to the background and Naruto will be out of her reach.

Well we don't really have any proof of Pierot being a fan of NaruSaku or am I wrong ?

Also this proves what I said in one of my rants, Hinata could've easily saved Naruto's life. There were a lot of way for her to save Naruto but she choose to commit suicide again, instead of actually doing something useful.

You know it's true.

When Sakura waited before piercing Obito's eye, all the fans were bashing her because she did something supposedely dumb, or she took too much time to decide.

But hey, Hinata is dumb too in this scene.

The problem is that they don't think about Kishimoto.

He just did it this way because he needed to kill Neji and about Sakura he needed that Rinnegan to not be destroyed... that's all.

No need to bash charaters.

What I hate about this fandom is that's Sakura that gets all the hate every kittening time.

I liked the episode since I'm a Hinata and a Niji fan. OMG Niji's death was very depressing, but Naruto will revive him anyways lol.

I don't think Naruto could revive him. Naruto can't revive people IMO.

Also, Neji's character seemed at a closure. I don't think Kishi will revive him.

I think he killed him because he wanted to make Hinata the heiress of the Hyuuga.

Nice episode. Neji's death was really well portrayed. Same with Inoichi and Shikaku. I especially liked Obito's speech. They really managed to bring out the fact that, for Obito, this is very much a matter of principle.

So yeah, props to the voice actors.

As for Sakura's facial expression, perhaps they changed it to be more consistent with her actions later on. It's clear that she wants to hold her own and also be able to protect her comrades. That might explain why she was made to look more determined instead of shocked.

The little filler moment was cool. Don't know why they left out the part where she gets saved by Kakashi though.

I really liked Hinata seiryu in this episode.

She made her voice matured a lot.

This has been a long time since I haven't heard her.

On the contrary I didn't really liked how they did Neji's death.

It seemed some scenes were missing from the manga, and the animation at that time was poor.

In the manga, the action felt a lot more quick.

In the anime, it felt weird, rushed and yet slow. Weird.

Also, this supposedly NaruHina moment is not one IMO and this episode confirms it.

It's a Nakama moment. Hinata herself is talking about all of their comrades.

And it's a Neji/Hinata moment also.

Hinata is shinning/maturing on Neji's death in short IMO.

It's true Naruto is strongly bonding with Hinata with this, but that's all IMO.

Well, my two cents after watching this episode and reminiscence of chapter 615 lol ^^

I rethought about all this because everyone is so crazy about it, NaruHina canon this, NaruHina canon that... you know...  LOL

I would never think something like that, even if that was the first time I would see this scene.

Wow this was just wow  so much delusion  :lmao: It was  exactly like in the manga i really don't know what this guy has been seeing or reading for that mater but just watch the episode and you will see  it was like in the manga it was all about comrades not NH lol

As for SP being NS fans well we have so many NS scenes that are mutual not one sided like NH lol XD

Nice episode. Neji's death was really well portrayed. Same with Inoichi and Shikaku. I especially liked Obito's speech. They really managed to bring out the fact that, for Obito, this is very much a matter of principle.

This is not what her reaction portrayed in the first place and it deviates from the original meaning of what the author wanted to show with that and it has nothing to do with her actions later on and making this "consistent" this is changing the scene completely being in shock and determined its not same it doesn't convey the same feeling , this is like if in the manga the Autor Makes Naruto looking at Sakura in awe but in the anime they make him indifferent about her its the same in here for all i know Sakura was reacting to Hinata's interaction with Naruto see its not consistent with anything  . No offense but this is a terrible excuse .
