I guess you could say Sakura literally knows her way to a man's heart.

Yeah, but why have Sakura perform mouth-to-mouth? She already has his hand in his heart, I doubt people will consider this chapter purely platonic/ brotherly love/ just a medical procedure. And Sakura remembered all of his promises to her too. ;___;

 

Her flashbacks are the closest thing to being pairing related in my eyes, and it's still difficult for me to consider them pairing related because of the seriousness of the situation. I'm a little crushed, to be honest. I was hoping to see her feelings resolved in this chapter, but I guess I was expecting too much too soon.

I am glad to see the majority of us are acting rational about the chapter, even though there are several already calling NS canon (or at least feel like it is already canon). Since I haven't been as engaged with the pairing since I originally came to the site, I saw this chapter as a more outsider perspective. In that perspective I understand if people will see a romantic overtone in the CPR scenes (those are closes kissing scenes we ever had in the series, and I consider CPR a form of kissing depending on the situation it is feature), however there isn't anything, at least to me, that screams "NS canon!" Maybe it is because I care less, or that I am to reasonably to assume the best. Either way, I am glad people are happy about it and that they are also being reasonable about the whole scene.

Even if it wasn't a NS pairing chapter it was a Sakura and Karin chapter. This chapter Sakura really shined and shown her growth. Most of us assumed she would break crying but she still has hope and determination to help Naruto.

Also compared to part1 Sakura she is doing everything she can to help Naruto and not thinking selfishly of Sasuke.

Of course the fandom isn't exploding. There wasn't anyhing romantic in this chapter. 

Sakura was just healing Naruto, she was all professional through the chapter. The only real NS moment we got was when she remembered Naruto's dream and sweared she wouldn't let him die. 

And the CPR was just what it is. That's probably why it didn't gave me any feel at all. 

To be honest, I wouldn't even mind if the Anti-NS find excuse to say it wasn't romantic, since I got the exact same feeling. 

 

Don't get me wrong, I still love NS and believe it will be end pairing, it's just that I think this chapter wasn't as exciting than it could have been. But I still enjoyed all the NS interactions in this chapter. It's just that I found 631 more "near canon". I say let's wait and see. We still hav more NS chapter incoming. 

 

I have a bit of that feeling as well, but did you know in real life, mouth-to-mouth CPR is actually not very effective in adults? The way it's suppose to be done is to simply push on the ribs.

Play this down all you want boys and girls, if she's just doing her job, why go into memory mode? This is basically the Tenchi Bridge all over again, remember where we almost got something from Yamato?

It's going to take some time for this chapter to settle in my head.  Several things I don't understand, but will perhaps be more clear after a reread.

 

My medical kink was fired up with this chapter.  When I realized Sakura was out of chakra and could do nothing beyond real world, I thought, "The only thing left is cardiac massage."  Then I clicked the next page and she cut into his side.  I was literally yelling at my laptop, "CARDIAC MASSAGE, SAKURA!  DO IT!  DO IT!!  DO IT!!!!!!!!" 

 

And SHE DID.  Wow.  Great job, girl.  Way to hold it together and do what had to be done.  Sakura rules.  She absolutely RULES.  You guys were crying for her to be a heroine....  

 

Kishimoto is going somewhere with the mouth-to-mouth, too.  Count on it.

 

P.S.  If you see this Nate River, I thought of you when Suigetsu helped Karin.  Several panels of your favorite Team Not Seven.

I think it's hilarious that people were making all of these predictions that Hinata would use gentle fist to keep Naruto's heart going, and Sakura literally grabs Naruto's heart herself.  Well they weren't too far off the mark. Although Sakura's "gentle fist" looks a bit more effective

Dear lord, this chapter...

 

Sakura, freaking medic of the year. It's takes a badass to do what she did and keep calm while doing so.

 

Karin suddenly gets a badass upgrade with the Uzumaki chains, although you have to wonder where were those before.

 

The CPR to me is just that, CPR. But I do like how she reflects on Naruto's dream to become Hokage. A nice callback to the chunin exams.

 

Madara... he's become way too broken. Right now he's like one of those video game bosses that makes you rage quit because he keeps beating you every time.

 

Also, "a suspicious shadow approaches Sasuke"? Riiiiiiiiiight, because that's totally not Karin.

Like always, NaruSaku reigns supreme. I also really like how Sakura flashed back to Naruto's words from the Chunin Exams now if only she were to flashback to the forehead kiss.

 

 

Not too hyped up about the whole CPR thing since it was just that, CPR. I was semi-expecting it tbh. Sakura and Karin were pretty badass in this chapter with much more to come.

if you look her arm is surrounded by medical chakra where the opening is. It helps to keep everything contained.
