Madara cheating like crazy. How the heck can he have Susano when his eyes are gone. Oh well that's Kishi logic for you
Now that he has the rinnegan, guess it's time for him to take the biju. Or perhaps he will control them?

I liked the chapter, even though he is now OP as all hell, although seeing him getting smacked around kind of made up for it.
Gaara was the highlight of the chapter for me. It was cool to see him leading the Bijuu attack.
At this point, Madara is just so...broken. Watching him confidently take on the entire shinobi world as well as the Bijuu's, all the while being shirtless, kind of reminds me of Albert Wesker from Resident Evil. He also used to be a schemer. Somone who would manipulate events from the shadows. That's what made him cool, because it gave you this feeling that he was everywhere, always in full control. Then when he suddenly had to step out of the shadows and take on the role of main villain, he just completely changed into this raging megalomaniac.
I don't know, I guess I just prefer villains who are more calm and conniving.

But really.
How the kitten did Madara complete a self-done eye transplant with no medical jutsu or help with his bare fingers in a matter of seconds? The Susano'o problem doesn't even remotely compare to this one.
Ugh. Damn it Kishimoto, you can't let me even let me enjoy Madara being a badass, can you? You have to screw this up, too.

Good chapter and all but Im going to take a break from Naruto and catch up to the Bleach manga this war is honestly getting to op, and I don't want to wait 20+ chapters for the fight against Madara to finish.

Heh ... why do I have the feeling that this fight is no longer about Madara , but more of a setup to redeeeming Sasuke . As in make Madara insanely op and hax , have the alliance and bijuu struggle with him and then have Sasuke defeat him . And just like that Sasuke becomes the hero that saved the ninja wolrd ...

I once thought that and to be honest, I actually have this in mind for a long time, but the setup seems to change a lot from my old thoughts, so it doesn't look like it would go for that direction because Sasuke has a bad side as well, so it doesn't work the way you and I thought. If he was never showing the path he is in now, then this could work, even though it's terrible way to do so. But (un)fortunately, that's not the direction it's going for. Madara is an all around villains, not exclusive to Sasuke.

@ns4life
so we can left sasuke possibility to end madara to naruto, obito(along with kakashi maybe), or maybe orochimaru.
I think it would obito the one who will end madara since the set up so familiar with star wars episode six.
while naruto is the one who will beat madara up, but not end him.
orochimaru, hmm I don't know unless he switch body with madara, I don't think he has a chance.

It would have made much more sense for Madara to use Hashirama's wood dragon to break out of the sand rather than Susanoo. The eye transplant and the arm from Zetsu was also ridiculous but I guess you could say that he didn't have to use medical ninjutsu because of Senju DNA and the ability to heal without jutsu or seals that he got from Hashirama's DNA. At least that is the only thing I can think of that would make sense and not make it a complete OP/Ass pull moment.

With one hand! And what happened to the old one? Maybe he hands it back to Zetsu next week, but I guessing it just goes down the ole' memory hole instead.
I think the biggest issue is justifying the young body, but losing the powers when it appeared that, on paper, that the Edo body was made a living one. I'm not entirely sure I want an explanation for this though, since it may not make sense either.

Finnaly someome bought up this topic.
Why Madara was revived when that was not his body?
It's stuff like this that makes reminds me of Kishimoto's audience target.
Only a 9 year old kid would not be bothered by this.

Yeah..the audience target.
I once thought Kishi had at least somewhat grown out of that because 1. His fans grow up. 2. He has written chapters far beyond his audience target. This manga was once easy enough for pre-teen boys, and complex enough for more mature people.
SJ keeps the mature level down a in some ways, but this is just an unnecessary plothole. XD Maybe Kishi is in a hurry and that's why he resorts to the easier solutions. Which means shorter battle..then I (personally) don't mind.

Honestly, I kind of feel like Kishi just isn't really trying right now. This arc has been a pretty big mess all around, though there were some parts I liked, but this is just not the quality of work Kishimoto is capable of putting out, and when I don't feel like the author is into it, it's hard for me to get excited about it. There so many glaring plot holes in this one chapter, I just wonder if he wasn't thinking through what he was doing or if he just thought people wouldn't notice. If so, that was a mistake, a writer should never underestimate the reader, no matter who the target audience is.

I'm more inclined to think that the voluminous nature of the series and the week to week schedule are bound to lead to some continuity issues, but this one was pretty bad (and totally avoidable) It's just that with this one, I don't understand. Just make the Edo body real and no one bats an eye about him having Rinnegan and since he gets it back anyway, what was the point of all this? Did anyone really care what happened to the second eye until it was brought up in this chapter? I hope next chapter sheds light on this, but I no expectation that it will.
Still, it really is less of an issue than the messed up characterizations. To the extent that it's a broader issue, it's that when writing, it's important for the author plays by his own rules (i.e. remaining consistent with yourself). Nobody seems upset Madara's a badass, it's the violation of his own set up. Unless Madara is supposed to openly cheating (rather than the author just making no sense), no one wants to see him kick butt by violating the series established rules or lazily exploiting major gaps in explanations and calling it a day (something routinely done with the sharingan). I think even "9-year olds" want what they read to make some lick of sense.

Why bother with questions like that?
It's noth the first time that we see illogical things in this manga. Remember when Rin transfred Obito's eye to Kakashi? Do you really think it's possible to transfer an eye so quikly?
I wasn't even bothered by this Madara issue before you were pointing it out. Naruto is a shonen, not a seinen. It's aimed for little boys and pre-teens that want just one thing, fighting with big powers. That's all, and that's what they have with this literally incredible Madara fight.
