SS is still dead IMO. Sasuke sparking up interests in Sakura would be like FF at this point. If anything, this IMO pretty much just makes NS becoming canon more fulfilling since Naruto wouldn't be the fallback guy even after Sasuke's redeemed. She'd choose him because she loves him.
But Kishi could easily dive off the deep end and kill NS. LMAO! I'd prefer NS, or nothing at all.
I'm saying if we pick up the story we see that NS is obvious but why should i belive on an author like Kishimoto, Sasuke gets redeemed when all the hints of the manga is that Naruto would redeem him, the way the story progresses is asspull after asspull.

Also, someone mentioned about Sasuke being psychotic, like the rest of the Uchihas. So...where does that storyline come in if Sasuke's suddenly turned good. Will he come down with the Uchiha affliction and turn bad anyway? Or will that whole thing just be "under rug swept?"
The theories on the thread so far:
• Sasuke will become the hero, Naruto will become the villain.
• Sasuke and Naruto both end up fighting because they have different ideas about how to maintain peace.
• Sasuke hasn't changed his mind, he just wants Madara out if the way.
While all three seem to be interesting, nobe of them seem likely. I'm guessing the Uchiha "disease" is really swept under the rug.

Right now, I really wouldn't care that much if NS didn't become canon. As I have found a new ship that gives me 10x the feels NS gives me, I feel like I'm cheating on Narusaku...

Who in their right mind thinks that Sasuke suddenly converting and deciding to protect Konoha is a natural progression after all the hints KISHI laid out that Naruto was the only one that could change Sasuke?
Similarly to who in their right mind would assume NH or
Kishi is no longer consistent with his own story line. This was slightly obvious through other events in the past that seemed to be pulled out of nowhere (every single technique Sasuke is gifted) but now it's just blatantly obvious.
I'd like to think that I am perfectly sane.

Sasuke: Nah forget it, i'll become the good guy,
Orichimaru: I have seen the light, so what if I experimented on hundreds of innocent children, and killed thousands of innocent human beings? Sasuke has changed me...Praise the lord, I am reborn a new man,
Karin: So you almost killed, me it's all good as long as you are still a cute emo.
If there is no other twist to this, I honestly think Kishi has given up on this, the whole point of this manga since the time skip has been about Naruto and Sasuke, on different sides one seeking to save his friend whilst the other to destroy everything he held dear. Now Sasuke's been saved and Naruto had nothing to do with it, the biggest freaking point of this manga that's been shoved down our throats for a decade has been resolved and the person who has been shouting the loudest about saving him had nothing to do with it.

If Sasuke has apologized to Karin then i have NO doubt he will apologize to Sakura.
This then makes Sakura get the hots for him again which leads to...
SASUKKEEE-KUUNNNNN

Which fits nicely into all the other asspulls.
Naruto vs Sasuke is practically out the window other then maybe to test each others skills.
It's pointless to make anymore theories up anymore because kishi is just going to asspull and troll us harder.

I guess we should expect Sakura to melt at the good Sasuke eh Kishi!?
I'm not expecting anything as of now.
strider to sum it up the kishi that i ounce knew is gone forever or maybe not but if he keep this up....

For some reason naruto himself is downgraded to fighting machine meanwhile sasuke gets a history lesson about his clan and how the village is made. sasuke gets better storytelling with some effort.

I'm not gonna jump the gun. I will if I see Sakura's still thinking about Sasuke romantically. Then I'll question Kishi. At this time, nothing has been stated that would be anit-NS, or pro SS/NH that we haven't known. Besides the BS line Naruto spouted, what has NH gained. We've seen Hinata do what she's done in the Pain arc. She gave him a pep talk, and they held hands and fought. From Hinata, this was obviously romantic but this isn't the case with Naruto. Or at least, this isn't what's shown.
Sasuke is "good". Big whoop! I may be disappointed with how easily this happened, and how it wasn't Team 7 who changed him but whatever. Doesn't make SS more likely.
Like I said, I'm gonna wait to see what's going on with Sakura before anything. Everyone else had their moment. Now give us the kittening heroine because it's been long enough.

Naruto should have really just spent the last few years of his life doing something else. XD

Tobirama mentioned her about being Uzumaki. Could it be possible that she heard it but hold her self to give any responses? Or she didnt hear it? Or she knew it from a long time ago?

Well not me! For me NS is still the most likely end pairing of the manga.

but IF Kishi continue with these asspulls then it means that everything can happen at the end, even if it doesn't make sense like this chapter...

It's unfortunate that you think Sakura is as shallow as that. =\ I actually have a feeling that Karin may have something rolled up her sleeve.

Hmmm...to me, this chapter doesn't have anything to do with NS. I just don't like how quickly and neatly Sasuke's story is being wrapped up. It is completely out-of-sync with everything about him. As well as the pacing of the plot.
I can only hope that this is something of a ruse. Or that Orochimaru's got something up his sleeve.
Maybe Sasuke returns to the battlefield, is good and has everyone's acknowledgment, but then something happens to corrupt him. Orochimaru takes his body or Madara controls him and then Sasuke is forced to fight Naruto. Then it truly becomes that Naruto is the only one to save him. And this neatly takes care of the problem of convincing the rest of the ninja world that Sasuke is good.
And about the shipping issues: if anything, this chapter should prove that nothing is certain or sacred in this manga with Karin's about-face on Sasuke. Kishimoto can change a character's feelings on a dime. And I think he's going to carry that till then end, hinting at NH all the way. But the track record speaks loudest for NS. And this chapter doesn't change any of that.

Has anyone ever seen Sasuke that comically scared before? He's probably thinking Karin might rape him at any moment.

I agree. I really liked the humour in this chapter. I still wish Karin would have been more angry with him, but perhaps she's saving that for later.

I LOLED at the Orochimaru bit. I think Suigetsu's reaction sums it up and even Kishi knows this apparently since he had a character relay what I'm sure many people feel.
But Kishi has pretty much seemingly killed the story. Now it seems that Madara is the final big bad of the series... Doesn't even sound right IMO.

Pretty cool theory there. But of course, it's the bolded that lessens the anticipation of that battle.
The family that couldn't be.
