I love Naruto, but I'm starting to get bored... Between the breaks and the ridiculous side stories, and now flashbacks within flashbacks... I mean I'm sure it'll pick up eventually but I'm almost left shaking my head. I hope all of this stuff is relevant (which I'm sure it is)... I'm just impatient.


I just want to see Naruto again.. and find out where Sakura went!

Hashi did mention a nice prediction about the upgrowing kids and how they would rampage.

Btw, maybe Tobirama made a pact with Madara about Edo tensei, so he could bring Izuna back? There was a thing about him trying to bring back his father, but he didn't die as some people believed. Maybe he wanted to get rid of his guilt or made a deal. Because we see that later, Hashirama and Madara made Konoha together. He took Izuna's life, but tried to give it back. It must have failed, but it's a possibility.

This chapter was.... a huge let down.

Things were going so smoothly last chapter, but then Kishi just skips just about every useful piece of information and rushes the flashback. Izuna's death, how they got their mangekyou, what their mangekyou do, how they reacted to their fathers deaths, oh and lets not forget that he skipped over every fight just making the Uchiha look like stubborn little weaklings compared to the Senju. Honestly I really disliked this chapter and I hope Kishi at least tries to fix all the problems he's made.

Izuna's death, how they got their mangekyou, what their mangekyou do, how they reacted to their fathers deaths, oh and lets not forget that he skipped over every fight just making the Uchiha look like stubborn little weaklings compared to the Senju. Honestly I really disliked this chapter and I hope Kishi at least tries to fix all the problems he's made.

Not really, we saw the trigger that determined Madara to fight constantly with Hashirama and the time accelerated until probably when they founded the village. I mean right now no matter what exactly happens Hashirama will found the village.
And in a way I kinda liked the fact that SharinganLOL was clearly inferior to MokutonLOL, or that Sage Scroll. the way this chapter went it felt like this:

Madara: Haha Clan leader now Im stronger
Hashirama: MokutonLoL

Madara: Mangekyo Sharingan noob
Hashirama: MokutonLoL

Madarama: Eternal Mangekyo now you are going to die
Hashirama: MokutonLoL

even in the last battle when Madara used the Kyuubi, Hashirama's Mokuton was clearly superior because even in that sage mode the statue with a thousand hands felt made by wood.

And was thinking about Yamato a bit. It seems that Yamato didn't just inherit only Hashirama's mokuton but also a bit of his personality. Pretty quick to be pushed around by others but when he get's angry scares everybody

I had "From Head's Unworthy" by Rise Against in my head while reading this.

Anyway, these flashbacks keep showing me something. The Uchiha are weak. Not weak as in power wise. Their powers are second to few. What is weak about them is their...not resolve, but rather their...will. They are so easily corrupted by heartache that is seems like any misfortune pushes them over the edge of reason.

We can even see here how Hashirama lost siblings too yet has come to accept war is as it is. He doesn't let the hate push him over the edge and even when Madara seems to know Hashirama's brother was killed still thinks his brother's death was more valuable. This "too much love" thing is really...I can't find the words for it. It's just so unnerving how weak-willed the Uchiha are. They are so weak-willed that even death itself strikes fear into them and learn ways to cheat death to the point of abuse. I thought Orochimaru was bad, but this is so far out there.

I think this is why the Uchiha are not meant to be leaders. They are just too emotional driven. Being emotional is fine, but at times the Uchiha seem to base their whole logic around it to the point of foolishness.

However, even the Senju are too cold at times. Look at Tobirama who seems much colder than his brother Hashirama. Hashirama seems to be the perfect balance of emotion and logic. He knows nothing good comes from ignorance and hate and has chosen to let the past be the past. You shouldn't let the past bother you when you can't change it. Better to accept it is as it is, be sad or happy depending, and learn to move forward. Sure, you can never get over it, but you shouldn't live your whole life thinking that pain is all that is existent.

Yes, I'd think that he's already proven that he is the practical one and is not so emotionally attached.

You know that this "mokutonlon" it's all off panel kishimoto didnt even draw how he could win against madara's techniques, totally off-panel i think he does not even have an idea of how to beat "sharinganlol".

Well assuming that Madara only used Amaterasu Susanoo and Tsukuyomi Hashirama may have had counters for it. Amaterasu is dodge able Susanoo is a pretty defensive ability and if Danzou could dodge it so could Hashirama ( If Tsunade could survive being split apart than Hashirama could survive more severe injuries) and Tsukyuomi is a genjutsu the only ability that could have caused issues with Hashirama. Now there should be another ability Madara specific or Izuna specific that we don't know about but considering that we see the aftermath somehow Hashirama could surpass it. Now Senju have more chakra or stamina or overall power that in a way could win any battle of attrition. Kakashi isn't a native Sharingan user and he can't use it too much. Sasuke is but we have seen that he can run out of chakra. The same could be said of Madara and Hashirama. The last battle in this chapter said it took an entire day, and Madara laid on the ground, meant he was exhausted. Because even if he had sustained an injury at his spine and couldn't be able to stand he could continue his battle with Hashirama. Also never understood how but Hashirama can supress Bijuu chakra but I'm not sure if any type of chakra can be spressed.

It's a small joke. I was comparing Hinata to Madara because when Hinata "saved" Naruto in 437 she goes on the battlefield and charges against Nagato and gets owned in the next panel. In this chapter Madara goes on the battlefield powers up against Hashirama and then he gets owned in the next panel. That's how they are similar.
