I can't believe Kishimoto would actually do that. UGH.

And for dramatic effect the chapter of little/no dialogue and visual parallels. Obito was going to be used somehow after Kakashi Gaiden and more hints were given whether it be one eye, the Sharingan powers. I still remember people thought it was proof it was Madara when he killed Konan because of his face. It turned out to be damaged which made it another link to Obito, then dialogue. From predictability this is ranked up there with 4th Hokage=Father of Naruto situation.
That said I think this means this'll lead to Rin's ultimate fate, and with the current Sasuke chapters possibly Orochimaru and another theory would lead to Madara's younger brother. The way it's set up Orochimaru is coming back.
Either way, yeah it was predictable. Now that part is done, what happens now?

(If we see him regenerate quickly, then maybe it is a modified-Zetsu clone or something.)

Just because a theory is hinted at, doesn't mean that it's liked.

Pre most likely since we saw them when he was fighting Konan

Still think that Tobi's being a troll as always.... Ah well.

Sounds like The Dark Knight with that idea in mind. I like it. I'm waiting for the next chapter to see how and why Obito. I just want to see how it all fits.

Well not only that, but any other sort of inhuman alteration/warping of Obito in the sense that he is a twisted husk of his old self with a warped mission for peace will save the value of his death scene. He died in a war saving the girl he loved and donated his eye to his friend who just lost his eye. All of the stress and terrors of war were shoved on him in that moment, and any sort of brain washing or alteration to his person could easily misconstrue that into a plight for "world peace", but in a way that benefits the true villain who managed to kitten up Obito's mind so badly. As long as he is no longer (fully) the true Obito mentally, all should be well.

Get Chance and Luck!!~

I kinda figured that it was Obito the minute he showed Kakashi's Mangekyo pattern (or rather HIS Mangekyo pattern). And yet Narutopedia still classifies Obito's Kamui as "Space-Time Migration" despite him outright stating that his Jutsu was a more powerful version of Kamui in the previous chapter.
Now to address the timeline issues that arise from this revelation. My stance on how this all fits into the Narutoverse Timeline is that Tobito's situation could either involve Zetsu, Time Travel, or a combination of both of those things. Zetsu running into Obito and having a White Zetsu Clone merge with him could explain how he seemed to have gained an accelerated aging process into full adulthood physique while seemingly stopping there to become an ageless being. The time travel part could also explain how he was able to take part in past events such as give Nagato the Rinnegan, mind control Yagura into running an oppressive regime and giving Kisame his position as one of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist.

Although Chapter was nice I am really thinking kishi might make Naruto a complete loser in end and make sasuke get everything sakura, acknowledgement, trust of everyone in konoha and maybe it turns out that he becomes the hero and the strongest shinobi who saves the world or something like that and become better than Naruto in every kittenin' aspect.
Also the only reason I like the chapter is because I was feeling very sad for obito same as for Naruto because they never got their girl(in case of naruto I hope he gets her later though seeing this revalation of tobi being obito I am not sure of anything sensible in this manga anymore). This chapter won my likes only because of this love story which is quite much parallel to pairing I support fully.
REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY DISSSAAAPPPPOOOOIIIINNNNTTTTEEEEEDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! by tobi being obito

I've thought about this too, but like everything else about this story development I don't know how it could be adequately explained.
Me either, but it's really no different than some fans hating the NS-is-endgame theory. For some reason they don't like it and don't want it to go that way, hinted at or not. *shrug*
Personally, the whole "the only good Uchiha ends up bad after all" thing doesn't bother me. I have no desire to see Obito be twisted, but going to extremes for revenge or even some self-styled messianic code of honor (if that's what you want to call Itachi's actions) is typical of his clan. It would actually be a striking bit of consistency for Kishimoto.
But speaking of not liking stuff, I confess I hate it when I'm forced to acknowledge any parallel between Kakashi and Sasuke, and this chapter put it right under my nose.
Other than that, I've got nothing on this chapter. I loved it, and thought it was excellently rendered, but I have just as many questions now as ever. I continue to believe there's some kind of connection between Obito and Black Zetsu (although I was obviously wrong about his face), and a connection between Tobi and Madara.
What are those connections? I don't know. We'll have to wait and see. I have said many times before I can't comprehend the timeline. Unless Tobi is or has been two different people (made up of parts of different people) at different times, or Kamui is not just a dimension warp but can be a time warp as well, I don't get it.
Back to waiting for more information. Is 600 out yet?
