So Mila isn't a standard boxer, she's a kickboxer like Zack. My French is awful these days (maybe I should relearn it?), but from what I gather she's a fan of the Armstrongs and gets excited when Tina mentions the upcoming DOA tournament. It made me smile to see that one of the barflies in the background was Brad. Poor guy is never going to get his drink as long as Tina's getting all of Mila's attention...

She's actually a MMA fighter with some kickboxing and some of Leon's holds...

Game is released today! So go get it!

Although it was released via street date last week, there were a lot of discussions and heats on how to unlock characters, costumes and other stuff. Story Mode is on youtube for those who want to spoil themselves, but I will give you guys a quick summary about it.

Unlockables --Click here to view--

* Akira, Sarah and Gen Fu are unlocked through Story Mode.

*Pai doesn't appear in Story Mode, at all She has to be unlocked by collecting titles.

*Alpha-152 is unlockable by gaining 300 titles.

*Difficulty levels can be unlocked, the highest is Legendary.

*All Normal costumes obtained from Arcade.

*Certain females has skimmer bikinis/swimwear and they must be unlocked by playing at higher difficulties.

And here's what to expect in the Story:

* There is a Plot Hole and it is involving around Kasumi and her spoilered "death" scene from the trailer.

*And there is a PLOT TWIST towards the end... and it involves a certain new character.

*One of the DOA ladies, unconfirmed fate unknown, has "kicked the can" near the end.

*Of course, the final boss is Alpha-152 with a surprising twist and it ain't pretty! (But not as bad as fighting against her in 4)

*There is *ahem* some romantic tension between 2 veteran DOA contenders. And one of them is the winner of the 5th tournament.

*Akira and Sarah has no involvement in the story whatsoever. They are opponents for Kokoro and Tina's chapters respectfully.

*There is no Indiana Jones adventures for Hitomi and Leifang

Announced today: FREE classic costumes DLC is now available! But only for the following characters:

Tina
Zack
Bayman
Helena
Christie
Kokoro
Gen Fu
Mila (using one of Tina's original DOA 1 outfits)

Akira, Pai and Sarah has their 3rd outfits (Type C) from Virtua Fighter 5.

No word for Kasumi, the ninjas and the others' classic costumes.

Ah, so I was barking up the wrong tree, then? No worries, I'm used to DOA's story confusing the hell out of me.

Because of Borderlands 2 taking up my gaming time and the holiday season approaching, I won't be able to buy DOA5, but I have reactivated my LoveFILM subscription and put it on the rental queue.

Cause there is no character interactions AFTER you win. Just skips to the next thing for no reason. I LOVE Kasumi's new costume in Story mode by the way

I know it is late but for those who didn't get the news since *ahem* January, 1.03A patch is out for both systems. Some characters have new moves and balances. There is a new stage, "Zack Island".

Vita version (DOA5+) is out and looks like it got better features... I'm mad about this. It even got a music selection screen, aka playing past DOA themes during a fight. Vita version can be cross-platformed with PS3. It includes an actual touch system where you can "poke" your character every where you want and they will react.

There's tons of costumes out as DLC, including Christmas outfits and male fan-service (majority of them wearing MMA outfits, with Jann Lee wearing actual underwear...)

Unfortunately, my Gold status on XBOX LIVE is off. And I have to be careful with my console now because I'm currently experiencing BS with it. I had to get another copy of DOA5 (my previous copy, no lie, I had for a month after my birthday and then this situation happened) because my damn XBOX couldn't handle it. It always shuts itself off due to "overheating" or "power cord goes red" whenever I get heavy on the game. That gave it a scratch that made the disc unplayable. Same results with Tekken Tag Tournament 2, except that still plays.

But when I tried with the other discs and even the Arcade games, it works fine and dandy.
