An interesting post was added over at NF regarding the fifth movie, so
I thought I'd share.

The artist of the below fanart apparently read the novelized version of the movie

Also, the artist comments :

Here's what I thought of the story:

I believe Sakura, who turns to the protagonist and says something to the effect of 'back off!!', constitutes the main story.
Okay, maybe not, but still!!

So it sounds like Sakura is going to actually play a pretty large role in this movie! (And there'll apparently be plenty of NS moments if the fanart is anything to go by ) As I said before, this movie just keeps looking better and better the more I hear about it!

I can't wait to see the reactions of certain fans when they see the movie and Sakura's role.

It sort of looks like the person hugging him has elbow bands on, so I assume it's Sakura, but I suppose it's pretty hard to tell.
I'm a little worried it'll be the 'princess' character, but since I've heard Kishi might be partially involved with writing the script, I think it'll be above that sort of lame plotline. So far Shippuden Movie 3 was the only movie that didn't include that type of character (it was a boy in the 2nd and 3nd movies, but I feel like the character was pretty much the same), and I've heard that Kishi was partially involved with that one too.

But we'll see, canonically accurate or not, it looks like we'll see some juicyness in this one .

Im alittle confused of when you said in the 2nd movie (Bonds) there was a Boy. Are you talking about that little kid that was with Naruto, Sakura and Hinata cause that was a girl.

Sorry, I meant 2nd and 3rd overall, not Shippuden. The 2nd movie had that blonde kid (I think Temujin was his name), and the third had that annoying prince kid with glasses. They're not 'princesses', but they sort of fit that mold in that they derive inspiration from Naruto and seem to idolize/respect him more in the end. It might just be me, but feel like that anime filler episodes overuse that character too, so I'm thinking it's more just the case that the anime team isn't very original with their OC's.

I guess I could have called the 3rd Shippuden Movie "Naruto Movie 6", but I didn't know if that would confuse people.

Heh, it's pretty obviously Sakura. I can tell Naruto has that binding seal on him (Like what we've seen in the trailer, where he's shirtless with the seal binding him) so it's after he's thrown in prison, but before he frees himself.

Thanks for the translation ciardha! And yeah, I think its pretty obvious it's Sakura hugging him. The images all seem to be about Naruto, Sai, and Sakura, so it wouldn't make sense to show some random person hugging him. Plus, the outfit looks just like hers.
I'm curious what Naruto says to her to get her so riled up. The panels on the left side make it look like she's pulling a fighting game throw-move on him. I'm guessing he's gonna ruin the moment somehow when she's hugging him, maybe make a pervy comment or something. Or it'll be like during the Reunion Arc, when he wakes and completely misreads the situation, LOL.

Just out of curiosity, is she saying "...than even Sasuke-kun" or "...then even Sasuke-kun"? Not doubting your translation, but considering it's a partial sentence, one letter could have a lot of impact on how we interpret it. Especially since "than" is a comparative preposition, and would imply she's comparing Sasuke to someone (hmm...now who could that be?).

Naw, it's not a dumb question if you can't read Japanese.

Yori means "than" (comparative), "then" would be sokittene. And since yori is comparative, the word that follows- mo takes on it's comparative meaning- "even". The partial sentence is: Sasuke kun yori mo, the verb is missing so we don't know what action Sakura is speaking worriedly about.

Not sure if it has any significance but it seems that "cherries" is in the title for this movie. This makes me wonder if that makes Sakura's role in this movie any more significant since most of you know her name stands for "cherry blossom". Could just be a coincidence though.

If my memory serves me correctly, it's from one of the chapter titles of the novelized version of the story.
