It's been a few years since I played it last, but it was definitely a fun and kicka$$ game, and was visually more stunning than KH1. Also it starred my ultimate fave KH charry of all time, Roxas!
Like seriously, I still have a save file just for the 3 hrs you got to play as Roxas, and if I ever felt like it I could kick it in, and do some wicked and gnarly grinds all over the place with him on his skateboard
Roxas is, was, and will always be mah #1 KH boi

Oh I already did lol. Think a game that specifically starred mah fave KH charry of all time, could pass me by and I not play it XDD
And I've had a PSP forever, so getting the game for it was no prob =3
Bought it and started playing it the same day it came out

my son is playing level 1 critical mode or some such thing now but he always plays games on as hard a setting as possible of course he is giving it a break right now for Dream Drop Distance.

in truth he probably prefers 1 & 2 most of all but he has played all the games which is something I cannot say

I've played all the games up to 365/2 and that was the game I just said screw it, and stopped playing all these ridiculous side games, (which is what they are since they aren't the main console games, since it's been asked why we keep calling them side games) altogether.

I would argue with you that the DS (and possiblly by extension the 3DS) is THE main console in Japan currently...

the only console that has sold more world wide is the Playstation 2

Well, 358/2 Days is one of the ones I consider a side game. Actually, I feel like that game was complete fan service for the people out there that fangasm over Org.13. (God, can't even join a KH group on DA without your inbox being filled with yaoi now and then) XD

Some people disagree with me, but from what I have seen, it seems to be literally living through 358/2 days mission after mission with little story or cutscenes. And sadly, for some people that makes Xion irrelevant too, though I don't really think so.

But still, it's important to differentiate between a game like 358/2 Days and BbS. They aren't on the same awesomeness or story relevance level.

P.S: ... They need to use Passion/Sanctuary again. I'm tired of Hikari/Simple and Clean all the time. Oh Utada, please come back and sing another theme!

At the end, Lea gets a keyblade. And Kairi is going to be trained to use her keyblade as well.

If anyone remembers, there was this secret video titled "Birth By Sleep Volume II". In it, we see Kairi with Hayner and crew at the old mansion in Twilight Town. I think whatever goes on there is actually a part of her training.

But recently Nomura was asked in an interview about BbS2 and he said the idea was sorta kinda scrapped or isn't currently being worked on even though the story is done, whatever that is.

Just because they are not on main platforms does not automatically make them side games. That said, I didn't go out of my way to buy some platforms just to play KH (Gameboy, DS). I'd only do that if I felt the game was relevant, like BbS. And now, KH3D.

I'd say I agree with this. I generally prefer handhelds to consoles, and I seem to see this attitude a lot in gaming fandoms towards handheld games. When I think 'spin-off', I think of a game that's impossible to enjoy or understand without playing the main games. My brother jumped into the series with CoM (we didn't have a PS2), liked it enough to get both of the DS games after that, and didn't really have a problem understanding the story in any of them.

But I guess I haven't played a single KH game, so I probably can't really speak for anything.

Besides Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 remix, Square Enix is also developing Kingdom Hearts X(chi), a computer-based game, where (as far as I understand), you play as an original character during the keyblade war.

Yeah, I've seen it now. I'm really really bad with card games (CoM was torture) so I'm not really that interested. But I have a friend who loves card games so I'm sure I'll have to play it at some point in time.
