It's a Mando'a word for moron.

Mando'a is the spoken language of the Mandalorians, they are warriors in Star Wars. They have members such as Jango Fett, Boba Fett, Mandalore the Wise, etc.

I was not expecting to encounter someone here who understands Mando'a. Yay, Star Wars!

Wow somebody was up in arms over six months? lol don't tell him but I'm 3 years older than my wife lol. And when i was in high school, I dated a girl that was born in Feb, and I was born in Oct. Age doesn't matter with your peers at all, and love trandsends age.

As for the whole ages Untill someone states a acurate timeline in Naruto, we don't know for certain. all we know is on Naruto's registration card, it stated he was 12 and born on oct 10.



And wow we have some star wars fans? cool. I read alot of the "new republic" era books up to like dark tide. the yuzong vong stuff got a little weird for me though I was a supporter of Luke and Mara before they got offically married!

The age difference doesnt matter in the slightest its all about love. Which explains how 1000s of year old elves can fall for 20-30 year old mortals.

Besides their pretty much the same age its a difference of a few months. hell my first and only girlfriend was 3 months or so older then me.

I don't think it matters any more since the KN4 deal and Naruto's accelerated healing, I am guessing that he finished off the age difference of being younger by cell division since it shortens his life span

Now he and Sakura are probably the same age

Many people tend to agree that he got entrance into the academy early bys howing some promising taijutsu. How ever once he wa sin. because the teachers and Students wouldnt have anything to dow ith him he fell behind.

Not helped by his then need to act out to get any sort of attention he could. HIs pranks were in many ways hsi training to become a ninja.

i don't think that age is a proplem, becuase sakaura is only a few months older than naruto....so big deal. if she likes the guy then she should go for it. well thats' Aki-kun insight on this matter....Ja

Maybe they stuck him into the academy as soon as possible... That way he'd be supervised and wouldn't need a babysitter... Not to mention he'd be around kids of roughly the same age...
I wouldn't rule out that Sandaime had a hand in this, I guess he was hoping that sooner or later he'd connect with his classmates. He seemed to give Iruka a little shove in the right direction after all.
I'm still hoping on some kind of explanation though, maybe when Naruto learns about his parents (it's a rather slim chance, imo)...

I remember hearing somewhere, that the genin test were given more than once a year, like the chunnin exams^^ he failed twice, and on the third time he failed he passed on the same day^^

so, that wouldnt exactly make him older than the others just cuz he failed those tests, cuz it was probably all done in the same year^^

Of course this is all assuming that Naruto was born oct. 10th after most of the others. He could of been born before the rest and still been in the same class. (Instead of being like 6 months younger than Sakura, he would be six months older)
As for the the graduation tests, I figured he might of been good enough to graduate early just couldn't pass the bunshin test. Remember, Itachi and Kakashi graduated early(Kakashi was chunin by 6 and jounin by 12)

Uh...yeah they did. If you don't find it plausible and that Kishi is full of it for saying that, that's one thing, but I'm pretty sure that's canon.

And Recompense is probably right. It is a plot-hole.

Naruto is portrayed as having no talent at the time (and certainly among his peers). The village, including at least one teacher (Mizuki) hate him, and yet, he's allowed into the academy at seemingly younger age (which rests on the assumption that most people are on their first try and that failing as many times as he did is unusual)to flunk multiple times without being completely kicked out.

My guess is he got in and was allowed to stay by the grace of the Third and later, Iruka.

Of course, the underlying assumptions could always be false, though the way Iruka speaks of it in the beginning leads me to believe that's probably not the case.
