Man, Orlando is turning into Choke city! Missing all those FT's and easy lay ups. And why would you have Jameer Nelson on Derek Fisher when they should have had Courtney Lee, the better defender, on him. Leaving him with all that space is just guaranteeing a bucket. When Bryant ripped the ball out of Dwight's hand (Defense Player of the year what?! hm.png ) and was able to get out of his grasp, the momentum just completley shifted. Lakers are playing damn good ball and the Magic are just falling apart.

Unless they can pull off something magical tomorrow night, I'm giving it to the Lakers as champs.

You also got to take into consideration that Orlando is a pretty young team, I mean one of their starters is a freakin rookie. LA brings in experience and an obsession to win. Orlando kinda reminds me of the AZ Cardinals. We will see em again soon enough.

Lakers in 5

If there were any any questions about Kobe's legacy, they were answered. also The Zen Master gets his record 10th NBA Title, simply the best coach in NBA history. And you can't forget to commend Gasol, Odom, and Bynum for doing a fantastic job of defending Dwight Howard, he was never able to get it going due to their length and tough defense.

btw, the Cavs are looking to aquire Shaq, don't know if I like that move, Shaq's getting close to the end.

Congrads to the Lakers. They played top notch basketball with superb offense and the right defense to prevent the Magic from scoring. It wasn't all Kobe as his teammates like Gasol, Odom, Ariza, Fisher, etc; all played their parts to help get the Lakers here. Now Phil Jackson finally has that 10th ring to cover all his fingers. Damn best coach in the NBA and worthy of surpassing Auerbach.

Magic had their best year in franchise history, but still have quite a way to go. If they continue working with this team they should easily be making a return next year. They went a lot farther then anybody would have expected and pulled the upset against the Cavs, but they just couldn't match up against the Lakers. A ways to go, but they progessed a lot.

Kobe definitely has made a name for himself now by winning a championship without Shaq. Not only was he a scorer, but he had good numbers with assists and rebounds as he helped his team. You have to put his name up their with the all time greats, especially if this team can stick together next year and has a damn good chance of winning the championship again.

My classmates from high school would highly disagree with you, Nate. XD

I don't really cheer for any team, I just watch most sports for fun.

Hockey though, is different.

I'm sure they would. And they would be wrong biggrin.gif

Speaking of Hockey....maybe the Flames will make it out of the first round next year. After they find a new coach.....

Shaq going to Cleveland

Looks like Lebron will get a major superstar to give him a boost with a dominant center. In the playoffs it could prove to be the difference.

seems like a desperation move from the Cavs to keep Lebron from going to NY when his contract is up. Shaq's best days are behind him.

Yeah I can see that being a pivotal reason for the Cavs acquiring him. They play good in the regular season (and Shaq usually plays every other game or so, so they don't really need him then) but they need somebody when it comes to the Playoffs and Shaq can be that man. Even if Lebron wins a championship with him, he'll get lumped in the same category as D-wade and Kobe before he won this year.

Good riddance, now my Suns won't be slowed down by him. Woohoo!

Though, Ben Wallace and some no-name SG? Meh, why do we need an old aging PF when we have Amare? Whatever...

Man, a lot of things going on right now in the off season.

Shaq going to Cleveland.
Amaire possibly going to the Warriors.
Blake Griffin selected #1 overall and hoping to help the Clippers.
Jefferson making the Spurs big time contenders once again.

Wizards giving away the no. 5 pick for MORE guards and also losing a big man which we need desperately right now. Man, can't say we'll do any better than last season with the way thing are rolling right now...
