Anyone here who reads/read the book The Great Gatsby? Is it good?

LOL I know what it means I was JK or should I say "pulling your leg" this whole time XD .

 

Girls/Females are not much into racing though its understandable       Though there are many great female drivers .

I did! It was a mandatory book for students at my school during 12th grade. It was prob one of my favorite books I've read in High School ^^  The movies... Both of them don't do the book justice AT ALL.

Yeah. I didn't like the adaptation at all. Only di Caprio convinced me as Gatsby; that's it. Tobey Maguire did a horrible job at impersonating Nick Carraway.

The movie was more focused on visual effects and a good soundtrack than anything else.

I watched the movie though it never peaked my interest. Then my friend recommended it to me. She said it was one of the best book that she read.

And no, I'm not going to read Black Swan from the movie. I'm not interested in ballerinas. The Black Swan I'm going to read is written by Nassim Nicholas Taleb and it's about unpredictability and risk taking.

I see. Well, if that is your purpose, I'm afraid to tell you that's not the very right book. I liked the insightful impressions about war and it's good for you to think about how stupid the reasoning of war is. But it's not much of a factual book, as I said, it's uneventful, if you're going to make a summary of it, it ends up being very short. So it's more useful if you want to understand what it's like to be living in a war, not how the WW1 itself was or any political deepening.
