I don't know about that and to be fair, I am not about to dive into cultural differences on what is right and wrong, but what I think is wrong is how these two pairings are based on all the wrongs reasons.

It is sexist towards women because women only exist to be baby-makers and slaves to men, they think nothing else, BUT the men they are after and are seen as terrible women if they move on with their lives away from that love. Traditional or not, modern society has to change it. Otherwise, we cease to expand the human mind and ways that can better human life. We should be fighting against change...we should be embracing it to make life better.

However, this story is also sexist towards men and I will forever be offended as a man by this story. Apparently, our love for a girl is not important and we need to "grow up" from "childish things" (but apparently for women it is not childish.) Our feelings are ignored because we HAVE to be the girl who fell in love with us first regardless of how our feelings are. We are also seen as nothing more than brainless trophies who apparently only want to procreate with anyone willing to open their legs.

I am so sick of everyone keep saying to me how "You didn't see how Sakura was in love with Sasuke," but in reverse they  never saw how Naruto was in love with Sakura or how Sasuke didn't even love Sakura and by all arguments so far....still doesn't. There is no proof, even in Gaiden, that he is in love with Sakura. There is no one panel, no single moment, to prove that love he has for her. As far as I can tell, he is just using her to continue his clan. There is nothing else.

"Well naruto moved on"

Not according to the Last.....and even so why is it okay for Naruto to move on, but not Sakura to move on from her crush?

This double standard is ridiculous.

Bah...

Maybe the traditional 'japanese' thing doesn't mean anything. -_-

But I wouldn't call 'sexism' too.

All of this is, most likely, just expression of 'sentimental laziness' of readers (worldwide), mangakas, editors and animator's studios staffs...  -_-

They want all giftwrapped for delivery.

They don't want fall in love with a girl (too much trouble).

They want the love of a girl that worships them, spoils them and doesn't give them too trouble...

What was the word... BETA males, maybe? :headscratch:

Sorry, I still call it sexism.

If many other people can call sexism just because a guy calls a girl "beautiful", then I can call sexism on this. (Yes, this actually happened to a friend of mine.)

The world is a messed up place at times...

These men are united now by a common cause. But when this battle is finished they will fall to fighting amongst themselves about how best to ensure control. In time it will lead to war. You will see.

I never quite understood why mangakas like Kishi don't bother to try and be anatomically consistent with innards after the human body is cut open somehow. In panels like that one, all you see is a dripping hole with a shaded in ring of what looks like generic flesh. Would it be too graphic to realistically show veins, ligaments, or a damaged organ loosely hanging out as a waterfall of blood gushes forward?

....So apparently our favorite Swiffer Duster™ kid has not been retconned out of existence? Uh, pity.

Go Burito! Smash the cake!  :w00t: Who knew Hinata's new occupation was the 'pie-maker'

I would love to hope for some (possibly gruesome) deaths in Borutto-Da-Moveh but, let's face it peeps, Kishimoto will never do that, he's too spineless, and a twist like that might actually be interesting and compelling.....or at least compassionate and pitiable - better off being dead - but Kikittentymoto, king of ball-less kingdom will never grant us that.

We clearly ain't gonna see that, 'cause it's Kishimoto we're talking about, so everything (for the millionth time) will be, ugly, confusing, redundant, idiotic and FAKE. Decorated with fake-unicorns pooping fake-rainbows and cyanide-flavoured cotton candies.

Naruto, blah. How you fell.....well, at least now Satan has company and can ask Hinata for a few pointers.

All in all, YES BURRITO! SMASH THAT STUPID CAKE!

- L'inguaribile ottimismo di un dodo.

Hungry for glory - AS Roma 1927

But they were all of them deceived, for another canon was made. In the land of Japan, in the fires of Studio Pierrot, the dark Lord Kishimoto forged in secret a master canon, to control all others, and into this canon, he poured his cruelty, his malice, and his will to dominate all life. One canon to rule them all.

I am going to take a guess and say it is to cut down time in drawing and animation. I mean, how many times in Dragonball Z do the characters get blasted straight through and all you see is like a single blood drip and type of burn mark. I guess you could say the wound would be cauterized, but I doubt it.

The only anatomy that actually worked was when the Namkeians looked like they had limb lose.

Graphic nature in Manga is not unheard of. I mean look at Berserk and Hellsing.

Haven't read them. I do remember Frieza's intestines hanging out and dripping blood after being bisected by his own technique. Aside from that, internal organs were never really exposed. I guess a bunch of organs and bone dangling out from a stump while fighting would be awkward and time-consuming to draw constantly.

I do recall back then, it was pretty hardcore. Then 90s, things felt censored. Then in early 2000s, it was back to hardcore. Now, no clue. It was a weird censor on a girl getting stabs. Like can't you just imagine arrows on her. It's the same.

This is so sad and so true... I could cry...

Lately, more than only sexism I see in Naruto's end a (weird) nationalistic approach... :headscratch:

I may be exaggerating a bit, but... :headscratch:
In the end Sasuke and Hinata are the JAPANESE ONES, aren't they?
And the SS and NH marital life is more a TRADITIONAL japanese marital life (not like Kushina and Minato one), isn't it?

And they've been handed everything on a silver platter. :zaru:

Yes, they are the Japanese one. Especially sasuke.

No.
For some reason your own twin bro become branch member, but your youngest daughter doesn't.

@nostradamus
So do neji father.

It is because Neji's father can marry and start his own family thus creating a side branch, while Hanabi can just be married to one of her main branch cousins.

Nope, what Oro said was that Tobirama's decision segregated the uchiha and they became pissed bc of it

Tobirama was able to segregate the uchiha's into the police to keep an eye on them and give them a compound that isolated them from the rest of the village. But that was village politic and policy not internal clan politics or policy.

I don't know anything about main and branch thing, but how do you know that thing work to hanabi when it's never mention in the manga?
it just your head canon.

Can we put a moratorium on "beta male?" I think it's a really problematic term that perpetuates a very rigid conception of masculinity that creates a whole slew of problems. I think it's more appropriate to talk about "nice guy-ism."

On topic, what are the chances we actually see Bolt in this movie? I thought I'd be seeing the next generation in Gaiden but it's turned out to be more boring Team 7 stuff. I expect more of the same with the film.

AhAhAh!

It would be better to talk of 'gamma' males (more than 'beta') or of 'lazy guy-ism' (more than 'nice')...

IT:

Gaiden manga is definitely not important...

In this movie Bolt will be the undisputed protagonist... He's his mama's son, ins't he? :ninja:

Just look at the cover image

1000px-Boruto_the_Movie_poster_2.png

They clearly wanna lure back the lost fan by making them think "Oh look theres a big rinegan eye behind them!, the villain must be casting some kind of genjutsu, maybe this is all Infinite Tsukuyomi"

Edit: I suddenly have feelings Bolt will end up with chou chou and sarada end up with mitsuki. You know... is NH / SS all over again in the new generation. Bolt fall in love with sarada but transform into mitsuki and tell her "You have a charming sharingan makes me wants to kiss it" ,yeah bench scene again....

boruto-naruto-the-movie-japan-debut.jpg?

And look..... Theres still alot of forest near hokage face mountain.... where the kitten is new york city?? Bolt inner clothes suddenly red ?? isnt it suppose to be PINK collour??. Even naruto refuse to see his family when taking family picture...

If you ask me somethings wrong with naruto eyes... well perhaps that image is fanmade....

PS: Can someone teach me how to put spoiler tag please?
