You guys forgetting Butterfree?? That had me in tears for sure, along with Jesse and James letting go of their original pokemons
First series really felt like it was standalone, not endless adventure where a writer is replaced by a cyborg of him/herself.

Felt but it wasn't otherwise it would be weird that Ash and the others bring up information from the first season and Team Rockets pokemon left during AdvanceFirst series really felt like it was standalone, not endless adventure where a writer is replaced by a cyborg of him/herself.

I said felt because we got a lot out of it. Close to say goodbye to Pikachu, Team Rocket flashback (in which James has a fiancé similar to Jesse), the league being one and only hype, rivalry from the very start, and many more. It could have been a standalone. The lost in the latest league is a reminder/wake up call to everyone that it's still Pokémon and that's a bummer.Felt but it wasn't otherwise it would be weird that Ash and the others bring up information from the first season and Team Rockets pokemon left during Advance

For me, it was good til black and white...well it wasn't as great but I enjoyed how May was the only girl who can fight Ash one on one and she was pretty chill and Dawn too but she wasn't as strong as MayI said felt because we got a lot out of it. Well, when they enter Advanced, you can tell they were having fun to insert a twist from the last gen, such as broken bike. It was like fresh to them. Now, it's business as usual. I think that's the bummer aspect because everyone got invested with this one, so seeing Sun and Moon is like "Oh yeah...It's this type of show..."For me, it was good til black and white...well it wasn't as great but I enjoyed how May was the only girl who can fight Ash one on one and she was pretty chill and Dawn too but she wasn't as strong as May

The anime STILL, to this day, has it's high and good points if you ask me. I'm just fully calling quits because of the " always releasing Ash's best Pokemon" thing, and the irrational, money grubbing, eternal advertising decision that he can't EVER win a league, despite the fact that "being a master" is one of the franchise's core themes

Well its been going on for years, so I don't see the reason to call it quits or the money grubbing since the anime is popular because of the games that are actually good, just take a temporary break when something interesting ever happens...maybeThe anime STILL, to this day, has it's high and good points if you ask me. Oh I still will play the Games of course And I'll read the manga from now on. I'll still love and follow EVERYTHING within the franchise including any anime that is not "Ash based".
