It almost seemed like Naruto cared more for Neji than Hinata did...and that's just sad.

Sakura actions are not Naruto centered she does nto have a tunneled vision, she does things for Naruto but she does things on her own, with Hinata all her appearances and quotes are Naruto related on part 2.

This is the problem I have with some Sakura fan, TBH this is the first manga I have ever read where the readers want the heroine to receive the same treatment the main character and the main rival receives. The is not the supper heroes story, or the fantastic 4 or even the justice league, the story is named Naruto everything will revolve around him.

Indirectly, maybe, but clearly everything that happens in the story does not revolve around Naruto directly. Otherwise there would not have been that God-awful stretch of chapters focused solely on Sasuke -- month's worth of story in which Naruto did not even APPEAR. Same with Itachi's story, Kabuto's, Obito's, etc.

I readily admit I'm no manga expert, but thinking that Sakura could potentially get a few panels of her own away from Naruto doesn't seem to me to be the same thing as turning this manga into the Avengers or Justice League.

Female main character deserves all the focus from the author, heroines are the person who the hero trust the most while having some great role, I will not deny that Kishi is terrible with his female characters especially Sakura and her love life, to tell you the truth I find many thing really but really silly with her and Naruto's devotion to Sasuke plus how bad he makes them look.
The Kage part, while it sounds very interesting, I cannot buy that theory.
Sakura was right next to Kakashi if she was Summon Kakashi or Naruto would of notice her absence (not that I don't like that Idea because I love it), to have her go to the Kages while Naruto or Kakashi are not wishing her good luck on her way or hopping Tsunade and the other Kages are still alive is just silly, there should be a flashback about their conversation when Kakashi was talking or even Naruto since they are all part of team 7.
So realistically speaking Sakura could only be saving fodders, something that well be another nail on her character, or she is part of some plan, if we all remember in Gaara rescue arc Sakura strength was the one used to open the gates not Lee or Guy Taijutsu so her disappearance for the bad guys does not draw much attention, the some thing cannot say about Naruto and Kakashi.

But this is a great example of the kind of presumptive thinking I was talking about. Both Kakashi and Naruto were shown to be distracted by other things -- Kakashi lost in thought remembering his mental conversation with Shikaku about the nature of the chakra transfer, while Naruto was delivering chakra to everyone nearby. You're saying it's impossible that Sakura could have slipped away unnoticed by them during that time?

If the presumption is that Naruto will know where Sakura is at all times -- and since he wasn't shown reacting to her possibly leaving means she can't have left the scene -- then why didn't he notice she wasn't there to give her chakra? We didn't see him think it through, and conclude, "I don't need to give Sakura any chakra because she's not actually fighting, she's just a medical-nin so I can skip her..."

Expecting him to think of her in one situation and not the other is a catch-22 of sorts. So I don't understand how a confident assumption can be made that either Kakashi or Naruto would necessarily "wish her good luck" or even notice immediately if Sakura were summoned away from the spot.

In my opinion, assuming either guy would do something like that in the middle of battle, or that Kishimoto would be required to spoil the element of surprise by spelling out where Sakura is going (if it happens to be what he has planned) is, to use your word, "silly." After all, we didn't know Neji would fly in at the last moment and shield Hinata and Naruto, did we? There was no panel of Hiashi saying, "Good luck with your spontaneous sacrifice, Neji!" So without an obvious warning, it couldn't happen that way? It didn't happen that way? See what I mean?

I'm certainly not saying Sakura has definitely gone to the Kage. What I'm saying is we don't know where she is or what she's doing until we're shown.

I personally believe that the panel of her shocked face in #615 is a hint or foreshadowing of where she is or what she's doing. At the time it seemed as if it was related to Hinata's actions, but now that Sakura is conspicuously missing from the battle scenes, when Kishimoto previously made efforts to show her several times, suggests something else is going on.

If people want to believe that Kishimoto forgot about Sakura -- that he remembered to draw Akamaru and even Temari, of all characters -- and that Sakura is somewhere in the background dust, doing nothing more than attending to fodder nin, then okay. It's definitely possible. But I'm not going to accept that as fact until I see it.

Maybe Temari getting a panel is a hint -- that maybe we're going to see Gaara soon. He's been face down in the sand, presumably mortally wounded for a long time now.

The protagonist will always be on the top of the other characters, even the main characters. With that, it depends on the mangaka how he/she deals with the main characters and their situation throughout the manga.

^Wasn't Sakura going to surpass Tsunade? Isn't she going to be one of the next sannin or something? Tsunade could fight Orochimaru, but Sasuke could take Sakura with only a few shots.

And some of the comparisons doesn't fit. Nami is not a fighter(mainly), she is a brain. She's a navigator. Luffy fights, she shows the way. That's what OP is, each member of the crew can do their thing. The characters stated this several times. And Inuyasha is a half-demon, making him quite powerful compared to a schoolgirl from the 20th century. I haven't watched all the FMA episodes, but so far, Winry doesn't look like an alchemist/fighter at all.

Tsunade is a Senju, Sakura has normal parent, from what she was in part one and what she became in part 2 is a great accomplishment to me plus the Sasori fight, name me another female girl who had such an epic fight.

Sakura will surpass Tsunade one way or another, the story has already being foreshadowing on that direction, the problem is that we want it know, including myself, but the different with me is that I know she will eventually reach there, while others lost there hope and want us to know how frustrated they are.

For me there are only four character that had been shown to be more bad ass than Sakura and all of them were in there prime while Sakura is still 16 coming from no named clan or beast inside of her.
Chiyo, Tsunade, Mei and Konan.

About Sasuke vs Sakura, 1st of all Sakura give up to him, 2nd he did the same to Yamato, Sai, herself and Naruto.

About the rest, well the first thing Naruto ask Madara was about the situation of the Kages so I kind of doubt anything like what you say will happen, not that I want to doubt you because something like this is a sure development for Sakura character, the reason why I believe that she is a character that will be used and reason the why we never got a flash back on her is because of the same reason you mention, she might be used has and element of surprise.

I don't rule out the possibility of she going over to the kages location, the problem with this is that Naruto was already concerned about the Kages so I find it hard to believe that one of Naruto's important person will just banish from the scene and he will not make a mention or thought, while if the already know I don't see why Naruto will not hope that Tsunade and the other Kages are OK.

If I'm honest with you 573 already tell me what the character will be doing once they arrive at Naruto's location.

So her being summon will mean that she already have her contract with the slog, not bad for her character but there is no reason to not show Naruto or Kakashi thinking about where she is heading when them were concerned about the Kages, but there is a lot of reason to remove her from the manga when something special is about to happen but the Author does not want to spoil it, same thing happen with Neji don't you think?
Or he just didn't want to draw her, something I really doubt.

Sakura is a normal girl in that aspect of not having a tragic past like most characters. I want her to become strong because she works hard, not because it lies in her bloodline. And being from a clan is not everything, Jiraiya was stronger than Tsunade and he was not from a clan. For me Sakura will wipe the floor with most of the Rookies, the only ones I see giving her problem would be Lee and Shikamaru because he is very smart, for all the rest, Sakura is also smart so perhaps only Shino might give her problem ass well.

About Jiraiya and Minato we don't know that, the story as not giving us any detail about their families, that is only something we assume.

Just because she is there, doesn't make her more important. I am so glad Kishi didn't draw her in 617, that may mean that she's not on the battlefield. It doesn't help if she's just..there. She's done one cool thing in each arc, but she is nowhere near any of her teammates! D:

Chuunin exams: We find out that Sakura is a genius but is willing to give up a year of her life for Naruto. Hinata offers for Naruto to cheat.
In the forest of death, alot of things happen to Team 7. Orochimaru, Cursed Seal, Sakura cutting her hair. Hinata is witnesses Gaara.
In the prelims we have Sakura vs Ino with Naruto cheering her on that snapped her out of it. We also have Hinata vs Neji.
Invasion of Konoha we have the cheering on in the Neji vs Naruto match. We also have Naruto rescuing her and ergo her finding out that Naruto saved her.
Hinata met up with naruto prematch and then died. Kibahina all da way.
Sasuke retrieval arc was the POAL and the chidori rasengan clash with her in the middle. No Hinata

Part 2:
Kazekage rescure arc: Intro version 2. Hinata is still Naruto-kun. Sakura flirts, heals, and kicks butt.
Sai and Sasuke arc: We have the 4 tail scene, the heals, the reunion with Sasuke. No hinata.
Hidan and Kakuzu arc: We have the energy food, and the ramen feeding and the healing. No hinata
Itachi pursuit arc: We just see Team 7 and Kiba trying to find Sasuke. No Hinata.
Invasion of Pain arc: Sakura tries to comfort Naruto over Jiraiya's death. She leads the medic nin at the hospital. She then calls out for Naruto when the village is destroyed and later we have the NS hug. Hinata had the confession which was derped over by ermagerddddd 6 tails.
5 kage summit arc: We have the zabuza arc reunion and Naruto defends Sakura's feelings both this time and from Omoi and Karui. Then we have the confession and soon after, the Team 7 reunion. No Hinata
Shinobi World war arc: Sakura heals and kicks fake Neji's ass. Naruto then saves her. Hinata is saved by Naruto and then they have 614-617.

As long as she doesn't have to walk all the way back to the battlefield. But I think it's too late unless she travels to the Kages like right now. How long can the Kages survive like this, they looked kind of like a mess.

To be honest, I still have a slightly little hope for Sakura with Kishi.
Just re-read this last year interview where he remembered that he said he wanted Kakashi to have an important role and only now he managed to do it.
And we know that he said that after Kakashi, it's Sakura.
Oh, pleeease, Kishi, make it happen!

I love how you talk about naruto fans being shallow and focusing on the fighting, and then take fight in a literal meaning, meaning actual hand to hand combat. Fight could be standing side by side, enduring.

And also, most if not all her shining moments are BECAUSE of naruto, that's why I ship this pairing. So her development with naruto has basically been everything.

I don't think it's strange that people want their heroine to be able to hold her own in a fight in a shonen manga. Yeah, it's not all there is to Naruto's and Sakura's relationship but there's a time and place for her to feed him ramen and a time and place for her to kick some ninja butt. It's not like the majority of Nh fans care about the action though... They didn't cared for Neji's death... Only used him as a "proof" that NH will happen.
