I saw on tumblr that he wasn't complaining about Naruto's ending, but about the fact that WSJ didn't make a Naruto cover when the 699/700 were released (I can't find this pic )

I agree. I thought it was pretty much established that they didn't like each other much. When has former plot points, and character development stopped these guys though? 
For an OOC moment though it is nice to see. Although I'm getting tired of Hinata.

If only the movie was about that, really. I wanted Hinata to have character. Everyone knows me that I want to back her up, but I don't know. It only tells me that Kishi creates the universe and then, it's our job to create a scenario. That's what anime seems to be doing ever since. Fans have been doing that ever since.
If only the author knew...

It could show how or why they end up drifting apart. Developing Hinata's character has mostly happened outside the manga anyway.I agree. I thought it was pretty much established that they didn't like each other much. When has former plot points, and character development stopped these guys though?

actually yes, They will ATLEAST interact!!
But I would hate it if it happens at the cost of screentime of Sasuke & Sakura
& Naruto too

And thus begins the Hyuuga arc, the theme being- 'Hinata is the sweetest person ever'.
Did these two even exchange one word in the entire manga ?!! Hinata did not even sit with her father and sister while watching the Neji-Naruto match. No, she sat somewhere else chanting her catch-phrase 'Naruto-kun' like a broken record.
Now watch SP portray Hinata as a wonderful sister 
'No matter what I do, I guess Happiness is a feeling that I'll never experience'
