Scribe of the Apocalypse (who wrote Intentions which is turning into a harem fic) just started on a true NaruSaku - The Difference a Kiss Can Make. The premise is that Sakura finds out that it was Naruto in chapter 3 and I think he's off to a solid start.

Scribe of the Apocalypse (who wrote Intentions which is turning into a harem fic) just started on a true NaruSaku - The Difference a Kiss Can Make. The premise is that Sakura finds out that it was Naruto in chapter 3 and I think he's off to a solid start.

I haven't read Naruto: Intentions because after reading the summary, I just KNEW I would not like it (and that was before finding out the author was going to turn it in a harem fic). From what I have heard, I was right.

However I have checked the first chapter of The Difference a Kiss Can Make, and it seems promising. I'll keep one eye on it.

It's a one-shot, future-fic, set post-series and it's really, really angsty and sad, just to warn you,

since it's about an elderly Sakura dying and Naruto dealing with that and his own mortality.

The title literally means "remember that you must die".

I just about cried writing it.

...you might want to avoid it if you don't like OCs or next gen characters at all.

Summary :
A heartbroken Naruto Uzumaki leaves on a training trip with his perverted sensei after hearing some pretty devastating words from his favorite pink-haired kunoichi. But how will Sakura react when Naruto returnes with his new, beautiful... Girlfriend?

The first chapter is a little OCC with Sakura saying harsh word to Naruto but she's not a total b*tch and even if there is no excuse for what she said, it was done nicely.

Naruto's girlfriend is OC character but I really like her and even if I'm a NaruSku fan all the way ( don't worry, the author said that it is a Narusaku fic and that it will have a NaruSaku ending ) I don't mind the developement regarding her and her relationship with Naruto.

Even if it is listed as drama, there is some actual funny scene mostly with Jiraya, Naruto and Amaya ( the girlfriend).

Huhhh... I am very, very wary -and weary- of stories with that premise. I think that is because for a while all I could find in the N/S filter in FF.Net were stories where Sakura was kitteny to Naruto and he was soooooooooooo heartbroken and desperate he left. The premise of those stories was damned stupid and it bordered on character bashing because they treat Sakura like if she was an evil witch and Naruto like if he was a simple-minded moron (Sakura never told to Naruto something harsher than her words in chapter 3, which Naruto shrugged off like if they were nothing. She never repeated them, and certainly she would not be harsher after their first adventures together. And Naruto isn't so weak-minded to leave his hometown only because people doesn't like him, or a girl has turned him down. If he was, he would have leave long before the start of the manga). I disliked those stories and there were a time were I had wade through dozens of them to find a decent NaruSaku fic!

So... Maybe I am being biased, but I don't think I'll read this fic, because it sounds too much like those stories, and I am fed up with them.

It's OK if you think that way and I completely understand your point. I usually don't bother with these kind of fic mostly for the same reason you mention. However, this one is, in my POV, very different from all of those fics. I must agree with you, even if I love the way the author wrote it, I never really like it when Sakura say thing that she would never said in the manga. However, she not a total b*tch, she's say thing that she didn't mean to say and admit it later but she doesn't insult him, she doesn't beat him or worse, she doesn't call him a monster. As for Naruto's leaving, that was absolutely not the reason for him to leave. Like the author said, Naruto was about to leave for his three years training with Jiraya and because he wanted to say goodbye to Sakura since it will be long before they see each other again, he go see her and this is when, after seeing her crying, that she said those words. It hurt him but it wasn't the main reason for him to leave konoha, it only add the dramatic aspect of the story. I agree that Naruto leaving because he's too heartbroken and can't stay in Konoha because the girl he love turn him down is a lame excuse for a fic and, unfortunately, is use in so many stories but this is not the case in this one and that why I gave the story a chance and didn't stop reading it after sakura's harsh word.

Anyway, If you still think like that, it's OK but it's not as bad as those fic you mention because I wouldn't have put it there if it was.

Well, this is my update for fanfiction - Since as you noticed, I haven't updated any, and I mean any of my stories in a while, and I have a valid reason. (Just don't kill me)

Anyway, the thing was, I had this major writer's block. No joke, I tried to write out the chapters (even with inspiration) but now words would come out, but now, I think that it's gone and I can finally write Well, for all you fans out there, just have a look out for my stories in the next few weeks.
