"Yes, I am. My name's Hitori. Um, I'll be honest, no, it's kind of boring...it does get a little pointless though to practice by yourself...and I'm only half way decent at making a Shadow Clone, so it's really hard to find anyone who's willing to spar with me."
Hitori looked towards his gear and figured he may as well pack up, 'No sense in getting in the way of the higher ninja. He probably was coming here to train as well. Maybe I'll just go get a bite to eat and wait until nightfall to train.'
"Sorry, if you want to train here, I don't mind finding somewhere else to work out my drills. I mean, it'd be a little pointless for you to spar with me, right, heheh."
'Besides...' Hitori thought, 'why would a Jounin of the Leaf want to associate with one of the "Beserker nin"?'
Hitori clenched his fist in agitation as memories came back of his clan being wiped out by his own village. He shook them off, and continued to put his gear away, thoughts like that would only lead to worse things. He couldn't afford to become friends with the man, even if he seemed nice enough. Attaching yourself to others would probably cause further grief when the day comes that they are killed in a mission.
He noticed the man hadn't spoken yet, but continued to watch him. Hitori wasn't sure what to think. The man had something about him that just shouted out 'power'. Hitori had a knack for reading people by appearance, and this man was no exception...

"If you wanted a sparring partner," he replied, "all you had to do was ask."
The Ryu hanging from the tree vanished in a puff of smoke.
"Besides," Ryu's voice emerged from a chipmunk that appeared on Hitori's left shoulder, "what's the fun of practicing alone.
Oh, by the way, have you been assigned to a team yet?"
OOC: Couldn't help myself. Had to put in the 'lol-factor'. Though, see if you can spot it.

He continued walking the streets, his katana was strapped protectivly at his waist, his formal clothing clean and tidy. The mid-day breeze lightly, his brunette locks of hair fluttered softly. As he approached the town's park, he stared at the children running about, playing pretend ninja and just running around for the hell of it. He sighed, as he continued his small stroll.
The young genin had arrived at a small clearing, where Takeo sensed a large amount of chakra and a small amount of chakra. Comtemplating for a moment, he assumed it was a Jounin and a Genin. Thinking he was interrupting something, he decided to turn back and walk somewhere else, his boredom following him like a shadow following its owner.

"Gah!!!"

"Oh...well, sure I guess that'd be okay, if it's worth your time. And no, I haven't found a team yet." He decided to leave out the part that few of his peers trusted him that well due to him being a former Kumo-nin.
Despite the fact that he was engaged in a conversation, Hitori didn't let his sense dull too much. The 19 year old Genin felt a faint chakra signature a ways off, but it left as soon as it came about. He shrugged it off, if the person wanted to make themselves known, they would.
Hitori looked at the chipmunk, and held back a smirk. The man was indeed powerful, if not somewhat...odd. Still, Hitori tried not to judge by first impressions.
"Um, if you don't mind, what's your name?"

"I really hope the weather keeps up the shine and sparkle! Makes me feel like training." He spoke to no one in particular.
A man who passed him by gave the youth an odd look, he wasn't sure if the boy had talked to him since the boy did not avert his gaze from the road. He opened his mouth to answer but the boy talked once more before he could utter a word.
"Yeah your right, i would be training even if it was raining." Nao said, never stopping or averting his gaze from his path.
The man closed his mouth and stood still for a second. He shook his head and mutter something about 'chakra getting to ones head' before walking of on his original path.
Nao kept walking. Oblivious of being named a crazy person.
"I understand why you like to sleep so much, but stop trying to make me as lazy as you are." he started laughing. The laughter ended as fast as it began, leaving its place to a coughing fit.
"Stop!" the words came out strangled and forced, as if someone was choking him.
His hands were busy on his neck, trying to release the hold of the invisible assaulter.
The struggle kept up for a few moments before he pulled off something long and sleek from inside the collar of his shirt. the object was black at first glance. A few people on the street were watching curiously.
Nao jerked the long object near his face and spoke between wheezes. "How many times do i have to tell you, that you shouldn't do that!" his speech was flecked by coughs and deep breaths but was generally understandable.
The people on the street watching Nao were thinking 'The boy must be mad'.
Only moments later were they shocked when the 'object' Nao was holding moved and curled itself around the hand and arm that was holding it, raised its head and started hissing back at Nao, in what everyone comprehended as a 'Pissed off' sort of tone.
"I was only teasing you! Can't even take a joke can you?" Nao almost yelled at the object.
"Well i ain't commenting on your choice of place to sleep now am I? Also i just ate, so i have every right to some peace and relaxation!" The snake the boy was holding hissed back, only understandable to Nao.
"Also, you might want to keep your tone down with me. People are watching you know?" It added.
Nao was just about to get back at the snake when his face went pale at its last statement. He looked around and saw people giving him a bewildered look.
He did what every embarrassed teenager would do in such a situation. He ran.
"Look what you got me into!" he hissed between breaths, running towards the training grounds.
"Ohh shut up and look at the bright side. At least now you wont need to do warm up when you get there." The snake curled its way around his arm, into his shirt and around his neck, which was its usual hideout.
" Also, you're much warmer when your doing physically exerting yourself." It coiled itself a little tighter, albeit not enough to hinder his breathing, around his neck. It let out a long his, which wouldve been a content sigh were it a human.
Nao chose to ignore the snake and continued his run, never knowing which training ground he ran into...

"Now where do you think you're going?" inquired a red squirrel with a mini-headband wrapped around his left bicep from a near-by tree.
If the squirrel was a transformed clone of Ryu, the transformed form of Ryu himself, or a summoned aide, it was too early to tell.
"Gah!!!"

Ryu had also noted the other Genin near-by and had sent a little surprise in the students direction.
Pausing to adjust the mini-headband around his waist, the chipmunk, who had maintained his position throughout all of Hitori's movement, bowed and replied, "Ryuujin Kokuei, Jounin-sensei of Team 17, which is also known as Team Phoenix, at your service. This place," he made a gesture to indicate the surrounding area, "isn't that normally used by my team, but it'll do for a change of pace."

"I wouldn't mind that at all then. Any rules on this spar of ours? I'm open to anything, even taijutsu only. I only ask that you don't take me lightly." the smile on his face turned to a serious look, but his eyes glinted with a rare display of excitement. Finally, someone to spar with. His body was already kicking into gear, and he had to conciously tell himself not to get rattled up before the spar even started. This had always been a problem with him, and in part it was to do with his bloodline. The warrior within him was trying to break free.
Hitori's anticipation was eventually restrained, "So, what are the rules?"

The chipmunk Ryu backflipped off Hitori's shoulder and landed on the ground in a poof of smoke. Once the air cleared, the Genin would see a girl about his age in a classic hand-to-hand ready stance.
"Gender change transformations aren't really that hard once you manage to get your mind pliable to the base idea," Ryu's voice said from her mouth.
"Way to go, boss!" cheered a trio of sweater wearing chipmunks from their perchs on a near-by tree branch.
The form Ryu corrently had taken rolled 'her' eyes.
"As for rules," Ryu continued, ignoring the chipmunks, "how about the first to pin their opponent three times wins?"
OOC: As its 0230 hours (aka, 2.30 am), I'm off to bed.

"Three pins? Fair enough. Are you ready?" Hitori's hands remained in place as he assessed his...female opponent. This Ryu was indeed quite the enigma to Hitori. Just when he thought he figured out the guy, he went and pulled off this.
OOC- Alvin, Simon, Theodore??? OMG, it's the Chipmunks!!!! lol, that's my thoughts at least. I'm going to have to call it a night, got test in the morning. later.

"Damn it, im gona make sis pay for making me go through this 'dont waste your chakra' training shes set up."
"It's for your own good. so shut up about the complaints and pay attention to your surroundings. You walked into an already occupied area." His snake companion hissed.
He looked up at that and saw a woman and a guy talking.
"They're probably ninja, or else what would they be doin here?"
"Who cares? Think for yourself this once and let me rest will you?" the hiss replied.
"Aww... Ryuu i Love you too." He rolled his eyes "they look like they're gonna spar. I wonder if they'd let me watch em?" He asked himself.
"Just ask em! If it makes you shut up. I'm trying to sleep here and the rumbling your talk makes is disturbing me." a rather pissed Ryuu hissed.
Nao smiled to himself. It was the kinda smile that made your mouth quirk up at the sides and forced an evil glimmer glitter into your eyes. The kinda smile when you are about to really piss off someone on purpose.
He took one last deep breath and stood straight up.
He started walking towards the two combatants.
He raised his hands to his mouth.
He shouted.
"Hey you guys mind if i stick around and watch your little spar for a while?"

"That may be," Ryu replied, "but there are those out there who would refuse to hit a girl.
"Now, to make things a bit more on your level," he continued, "any objections to keeping things to taijutsu only?"
OOC: Ironically, those are the summons too. Yes, I have the Chipmunks amoung my summons, lol. I've also got the Rescue Rangers, lol, amoung others.
"Damn it, im gona make sis pay for making me go through this 'dont waste your chakra' training shes set up."

"Well," a one-inch high version of Ryu replied appearing in a puff of smoke on Nao's right shoulder, "I know I, well technically the original me, wouldn't mind," the mini-shadow clone yelled to Hitori, "Though, what about you?"

Hitori crossed his right arm over his left, the left hand crossing over his chest as it stuck out a bit. A very unusual stance, but Hitori knew what he was doing. It was one of the three styles he had learned from his older sister that had been passed down by his clan. This one relied on defense, and that the opponent would make the first strike. He wouldn't tell Ryu this, ofcourse.
Hitori applied some chakra to his joints, and cracked his neck, "Now then, let's start, shall we?"

"Then let's have some fun," Ryu said opening with a clockwise sweep kick with 'her' left leg which would be followed by an upper-cut aimed at the underside of Hitori's chin with his right fist.

'Perfect.' Quickly he grabbed the powerful fist of his opponent with his right hand, yet was suprised by the stinging he felt as he caught Ryu's attack, and readied to elbow Ryu with his left arm. Hitori ignored the strange feeling he felt coming from Ryu. He was a Jounin, ofcourse Hitori would sense alot of power from the man he fought.
"Heh, got you." he said with a smirk as the elbow was about to connect to Ryu's jaw.

Not stopping to comment about the hit, Ryu rose to 'her' feet. Leaning foward, he charged, aiming 'her' head for Hitori's gut where he intended to knock the air out of the Genin before flipping the young man over his head for a pin.

As Hitori was thrown over Ryu, Hitori's reflexes kicked in. He quickly grabbed Ryu by the back of the neck and thanks to the inertia of being thrown, pulled Ryu backwards in a neckdrop.
The two got up and stared each other down, "Heh, not *cough* bad. A headbutt to the stomach, I like that. I should warn you though, making me bleed will only make things worse for you." he let the blood run down his chin before he wiped it a bit. His calm demeanor returned as he went into his stance.
Hitori went back into his defensive stance, but instead of crossing his left arm out as before, he let it hang limp. He was slowly working into his unorthodox style of fighting. He ran at Ryu full force, and at the last second jumped to his right to deliver a jumping sidekick to Ryu's face.

He lowered his head a little and shook it, before walking off towards one of the nearby tree's.
"I'll just get out of your way over here then." He jumped and grabbed a low branch and pulled himself up.
Sitting comfortably he focused his gaze on the two combatants.
"Oi, Ryuu, you might wanna watch this."...

He was happy. Smiling lightly he walked to the Ramen bar, famed for it;s exeptional food, service and famous people that ate there.
