Do you guys think that "Being to emotionally involved in a shipping war" is reason enough to skip school? Because I swear, I won't be able to do anything until at least next week.

And in RTN trailer, she had just two very short scenes. One of them was SS.

I also noticed how nothing is even hinting at SS, because it's obvious that pairing is dead. It would make little sense to have Naruto do a 180 and go to Hinata, while Sakura ends up with no one, considering her character is the love or romance attribute of the story.( I'm not saying her whole character is about romance, I mean she's the one who stands for love in terms of team 7.)

I kind of think the movie would be extremely cruel if they set up Hinata to be essentially the main focus (the whole backstory about wanting to give Naruto a scarf, her sister being kidnapped instead of her, etc) -- only for her to be rejected by Naruto. Then you have Sakura, who is oddly MIA. I don't take well to shoujo, and this is exactly what it feels like.

Thats what you get when all you think about is yourself and never what that person actually wants. Its about time Hinata realized that Naruto has his own happiness too

What I want to know about all this is if NaruHina is really intended to be endgame, isn't this advertisement and "teasing" making it a bit too obvious when the manga officially ends in 2 weeks?

 

I mean sure we already know that Hinata loves Naruto, but the fact remains that her character and relevance doesn't tie into Naruto's story or life in any meaningful and significant way. Rather than Kishimoto force Hinata to be in situations with Naruto, his life and journey on a regular basis, in a more involving and significant way (like with the Kyuubi, Uzumaki clan and Sasuke pursuit, he instead decided to create Yamato and involve Sakura with the Kyuubi aspect, and then introduce Sai and involve Sakura again with the Sasuke pursuit arc. Spin it however you want but Hinata's relevance and importance to Naruto and his goals / dreams has been infrequent and minimal. Instead, we have a main character who has had an established love interest since chapter 3 and has shown no signs of moving on yet.

 

Not once have we seen a scene where Hinata thought about or cared about Naruto's dreams, feelings or current goals. Rather, she's been used as a plot device with lack of proper development and once used quickly thrown into the background. She really is a side character right down to the core.

 

Not that I am denying NaruHina's chances but this advertising, if NaruHina is endgame, is odd and making things a bit too obvious considering the way the source material has set up relationships and the fact that it hasn't finished yet. It really doesn't sound like Naruto has feelings for Hinata at the start of the movie as well. At best, development is one-sided, infrequent and fragmented and at worst lacks the interaction and substance of NaruSaku on a platonic level. Why if Hinata was meant to be Naruto's love interest wasn't she given the same level of importance, comparison, screentime and development as Sakura and why was it that at the last minute Sakura as a love interest was dumped and the honour given to a side character to be resolved in a movie reeks of terrible writing any way you look at it.

 

Oh well. Just going to assume it's NaruHina and drop everything. Tired of this.

Well.. this time they'll be friends so there won't be any bromance and excessive flashbacks. It'll be action all the way and I would love that. I never get tired of seeing the Rasengan-Chidori clash

The unwavering feelings most likely refer to Naruto's feelings for Sakura and Hinata's feelings for Naruto. They clash..?
 
Well.. this movie is looking to be a war between NaruSaku and NaruHina. And I always believed the love triangle existed between Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke...! 

We, NS, versus the SS in the manga, and now, we face NH in the movie.
it's really amazing to be NS shipper. Not easy but we still survive.

The unwavering feelings were obviously about Naruto and his resolve to bring Sasuke back. And the latest chapters have made clear Naruto's promise, which might have involved Sakura had nothing to do with his resolve.
