The only deal of ambiguity is that things are more open ended at earlier points in stories, when you bring into question that same thing much later into the plot, its most of the time not going to be as or even ambiguous at all. Its like when tobi was first introduced, we had no idea who he was or what his powers where, some people went off with just how his name was spelled but there wasnt any evidence at the time, thats why it was ambiguous then. As the story went on and then he used the name Madara, until the real madara was revealed to be an edo tensei summon, people made theories about future sasuke, inzuna, and others. For a time some even thought Danzo was Obito but that was proven wrong when sasuke and danzo fought. So the theories went on but as more people were dropped or revealed, it hinted more and more to obito when elements mainly with revealed madara (as an edo tensei) came into the light, that this was really him. The only thing Kishi had to do after revealing Obito was show how he survived, turned to the dark side, and managed to have the power to fight against minato and control kurama, not to mention a greater portion of height as well. If the 9 tails attack was about a year or so after the 3rd war, maybe 2, well Obito was 13 in the war before he "died" all the elements of his backstory with madara brought everything up, mainly his boost in power (and height in figure at the time) was supported by the spiral zetsu who enhanced his powers (and as the battlefield is currently going, spiral zetsu is using yamato as a host for enhanced power). Because spiral zetsu had power, and was well, taller than obito at the time this is why he appeared even in height or so to minato during the night of the 9 tails attack.
But stuff like how saying that Sakuras love for sasuke is ambiguous at this time, its not as likely to be that, its becoming more towards a definite answer as many are saying decreased or increased (how the hell this can be true is a bigger mystery) its most likely decreased but because events like 540 were there prior, at the time it was given, you could call it ambiguous then because sakura still had feelings, but it wasnt good and it made her sad that sasuke became like that, how it impacted her afterwards was left open ended until we got 635 showing distrust.
A best case for ambiguity, immediately after the land of iron, narutos view on sakura was left untouched as was the stuff with hinata, then after a few years we got 631, that revealed naruto still loves sakura. Its not ambiguous to say who he likes or how he views sakura, the fact is that he still loves her so this was ambiguous for the time but because he restated his feelings then and here, its not ambiguous who he likes, he still loves sakura and otherwise has forgiven her for her land of iron actions or didnt hold it against her.
