Yes you are by in defending the way Sakura is wording the context. A few Japanese people and my friend have said it's odd she would use those terms for her husband; since it's usually meant for someone's else husband or what a geisha would have used to refer to their clients. It's a term to distance one self from that person. Why so defensive about it?

"sama"=respectable

Danna = husband. 
Sama = particle to appoint respect. 

The Japanese fanbase find it weird and as she's lowering herself, that should be all I guess

Wait I don't really get it either. What is anyone trying to prove? I want to see the reciepts (proof) of Sakura calling Sasuke "danna-sama". Also does her saying "otto" suggest? I feel like all of us are reaching for nothing here.

When referring to another person's husband, this term is often suffixed with 様 (​sama) as 旦那様 (danna-sama).

“Otto”. This is written as “おっと” in Hiragana and pronunced as "O-ttoh". “Otto” is used when you have fallen, dropped something, been surprised, made a small mistake. This is used just like “Oops” in English.

For example, “Oops, I dropped a pen” can be “おっと、ペンをおとした(O-ttoh, Pen wo Otokittena.”

*"O-ttoh, hold the unicycle tightly!"

 

I don't know that much about Japanese, but where does it imply that Otto means husband. I must be reading something completely wrong. Where's Ramen and Rikudou when you need them the most.

yeah this can be used to another person husband really but you have to see the context 

and in the contexto of chapter it's obvious sakura said "my husband"

Thier is nothing in the translation that proves this as I pointed out the context is what matters here. Your correct in that oops thing those kanji weren't for the husband term he's are she is pointing out if she had said Danna-Sama. Since Otto in that respect is done.
