RTN is Road to Ninja, the current Naruto movie, that's not so current as it came out about a year ago in Japan.

I couldn't stand to see Sakura die.
I don't care how much development it gives NaruSaku.

I've said it before, but I'll say it again. I think it better fits the message that Naruto is able to save Sakura from a near death situation, whereas Obito did not (if the parallel is to be made at all, I want it to happen that way, Naruto saving the day and keeping his word to protect her, unlike Obito)

Sig made by me though. XD

And yet it feels like the whole world wants Sakura to die unless they actually notice the whole Obito/Rin parallel... Speaking of which, are we ever gonna learn why Kakashi killed Rin? It might be saved for Kakashi's true closure with Obito

I would love that. While Sakura getting killed is possible, I hope that's prevented. I guess we got to wait longer now.
I find it funny how Naruto is parallel to his own teammates in different ways, yet nothing on Sasuke with someone else or even Sakura. Basically, I'm saying that the only real parallel we see is Naruto's parallels POV. Get what I'm saying.

I think it would actually make more sense for Obito to save Sakura is she's in danger be it from Madara or the Juubi. Of course the only reason Obito would do that is after fighting Kakashi and finally knowing the truth about why he killed Rin. Kishi made it obvious that the truth about Rin's death will have ramifications when it's revealed, otherwise it would've been shown with the rest of the flashbacks.
I would imagine that saving Sakura would cause Obito to die in the process, or be mortally wounded and have some last talk with Kakashi before he passes away. It would bring closure to his character in a way. He failed to protect Rin and that made him swear that he would personally change the fate of the world. I would say that by saving Sakura, Obito will accomplish just that, especially if he notices that Naruto loves her.
If Obito saves Sakura he would immediately grant Naruto the chance for happiness that he was denied by fate, hence changing the fate of this world. He would grant Naruto and Sakura the opportunity of a brighter future which was denied to him and Rin.
It would go along the lines of: even though we can't change the past we have the power to make a better future. That's what Obito would learn from his sacrifice.
