It's just Naruto's character though... it's not like he wants that to truly happen deep down, but he only wishes Sakura to be happy. So if that happiness come from Sasuke, well then you better believe Naruto's gonna do everything in his power to make it happen. Now the whole thing is that Sakura's now isn't sure of anything, while Sasuke may somehow be forgiven in the end, it's not like he'll change so drastically, not to mention you can't mind wipe all the times he's tried to kill her. Then you have Sasuke pretty much trying to do the opposite (when he was around), wanting his friend to feel happy. Sasuke admitting that Naruto went to such lengths to protect Sakura proves at least that much

How can people honestly think she'll instantly start making Uchiha babies with Sasuke after he gets redeemed, when she burst into tears, purely because she found out Naruto loves her/because of all the pain she's caused him due to that?

He wanted to bring Sasuke back not just for himself, but to make Sakura happy. He supported her love for Sasuke because he believes that Sasuke makes Sakura happy in a way he cannot. He didn't want her to feel down and depressed, so he tried to keep his promise with all his heart and encouraged her again and again not to give up (but again, it was also for himself, because Sasuke is his murderous brother)
Naruto still wants her to fall for him, but he will wait for Sasuke to return before making true advances for Sakura and compete openly for her love like he used to. That WAS the case, I'm not really sure how it is now after that mess with the confession, but at the very least we know that Naruto wants to bring Sasuke back for his own purposes.
I'm sure Naruto still feels that he's also bringing Sasuke back to make Sakura happy, but he has to realize now after all that that she doesn't want Sasuke like she used to. (No doubt she at least wants him to return 'good' and back to the village)
I have always believed that Naruto is in a bit of denial that Sakura loves him (in some way), that's obvious with the confession and his insistence that Sakura is in love with Sasuke. Naruto is not always right, he can be just as wrong as anyone else, he is not all knowing. I don't think he's right about Sakura either. Naruto was wrong to encourage Sakura's love for Sasuke to this degree, and Naruto's support could be one of the last legs that keeps Sakura loving Sasuke in the first place. That is the point I was trying to make. I hope that's clearer now?

Really well to me SS was broken ever since Sasuke called Sakura annoying at ch 3. And after that it went all down hill from there with the chunin exams and the way he treated her that's like SS getting shot a couple of times. And when he left Konoha that was the final shot to the heart of the pairing that kill it for good. Kishi had to remind us how dead and hopeless the pairing is with 482 Sasuke's two attempts at murdering her that was like Kishi putting the final nails on SS's coffin.

But Sakura called Naruto annoying too, so that goes both ways. The reason that SS is broken is for me that Sasuke never changed his opinion(that she was annoying), that was even one of the last things he said to her before he left. He treated her like kitten the entire series.

Even if a character dies, doesn't mean the couple is "dead" just means there was an alternative. And even then we get people saying "Well, NS only got together cause Sasuke died." There is sometimes that even when the writer says "It is like this" the fans still refuse it.
I call SS officially dead when he tried to kill her last time. Not once, but twice. SK maybe took a hit as well with him stabbing her. He basically quite possibly ended two fandoms in one chapter. People say earlier, but for me, the murder attempt scene was the final nail in the coffin.
If SS becomes canon even after all that, then it is an asspull. This guy has shown no hints at all throughout the entire manga, not even when he was still a "good guy."
Sasuke, as I mentioned, is the one thing both tying NS together and keeping them apart. Naruto needs to accept the change that Sakura has for him. No doubt will have to prove this and I know she will, but I am more concerned about Naruto being open-minded to it. He just refuses any and all comforts in his life believing it is not true or he doesn't deserve it.
This is why Itachi's speech is so important as well. I think he knows he likes Sakura and was trying to tell him to let her in. You could argue he was being general, but I can dream. Itachi supports NS XD

Obito/Rin
Yeah it would sucks if NS got canon because Sasuke died, because if he die then NS has to be canon before it or Sakura comes to a conclusion that she loves Naruto.

Which is something that he learns the hard way in the much dreaded chapter 615 : there are some things that he just can not shoulder on his own (maybe this will also help him be more open to accept Sakura's love and support ... way to turn 615 into a NS moment .. sort of

Naruto needs to realize that there's more to his life than saving Sasuke, and that there are people who look up to him/cares about him and his wellbeing/loves him. The way he is with Sasuke is very selfish IMO. Pretty much anticipating that he's going to die with Sasuke when they fight again is just wrong and he's not looking at what that'd do to others. Hell, look at Sakura's response when he even says it. Naruto has formed numerous bonds, and he was willing to easily throw it all away for one individual. I think Neji's death did some good for him because it made him realize that while it's good to strive for something, you shouldn't just throw in the towel when something goes wrong.
He should also open up a bit more.

Which I've told you - time and time again - is dangerous! There will never be consensus, son, among those you have helped to ascend. They will all differ in their views of what it means to be free. The peace you so desperately seek does not exist.
These men are united now by a common cause. But when this battle is finished they will fall to fighting amongst themselves about how best to ensure control. In time it will lead to war. You will see.

That's not what I meant. I didn't say she followed up on her claim. I simply said that it took Sasuke to reject Sakura just for her to consider being nicer to Naruto. That's how much of an affect he had on Sakura.
But my point still stands. In some way, shape, or form, Sasuke has brought Sakura closer to Naruto. I mean, is that really such a bad thing? I certainly don't think so.

That's my theory.
Hinata has no business really in the dealing with Sasuke. She doesn't now the situation or the feelings. She can't really just step in on this one otherwise she will really cause more problem's then it solves.
