Oh really?
If you read the first volume Omake, he stated that he has a lot of scenes planned between Deku and Ochako.

No. And even if there was a pairing war, it's never ever gonna come to the same extent as the one we've had with Naruto. The mangaka also made it very clear that he likes the MC with the main female girl.
It's only 36 chapters, so check it out if you have time.
Okay then, just like to know what I'm getting into in advance hahaha

So... apparently there's been an interview between Hori-sensei and Kishi floating around.....
I'm going to try and see if a couple of neutral translators I know is willing to translate the above. If anyone wants to shell out money to commission them, be my guest. It would really help.
P.S.: Can somebody please draw a short comic of Mashima crashing the interview beating the bloody hell out of Kishi when the conversation veers towards shipping? Mashima then proceeds to give Hori-sensei a lecture on the Do's and DON'Ts in shipping, all the while shoving the perfect examples of HaruxElie and NaLu.
The family that couldn't be.

Sorry, but what?
Read the chapter. He literally complained to Deku about supposedly "putting things in her head that would throw her into danger". That's inferring that he may have cared. Also, he did acknowledge her by saying "what part of that was weak (or something like that)"I It's obvious that he doesn't view Ochako as weak anymore like he did at the beginning of the fight. That's progress.
I don't ship UrakakaxKatsuki but I'm not against it either. I'm having no bias in any of this.

Well don't say we weren't warned ahead of time 10 years from now. Don't be surprised when DekuxMomo becomes a thing.

So that completely negates the fact that he was going to kill her? Two times in the previous chapter did he express his desire to see her dead, and multiple times did he call her a kitten. Caring a little, as it was only a little, doesn't forgo the fact that he was going to kill her, even with the modicum of care she might have had. It's not even about shipping first and foremost, it's painting this kid in a better light that he deserves. Whether or not he cared pales in comparison to the fact that he was going to kill her. "Oh he does care, even if he said some mean things, he cares!" doesn't fly in this situation. It's not progress.Read the chapter. I wasn't thinking of Sheeba right away, but I do see some similarities. I really loved Ochako in this chapter. Very well-handled by Horikoshi in my eyes. She's very self-critical on herself, so hearing that conversation with her father was a nice message he has sent to her: There's always another time. Her father kind of reminds me of mine tbh. Very supportive and understanding.
*sigh* I'd be lying if I didn't see some admiration coming from Bakugou for Ochako. This is standard shounen tactics after all. It's all hinting towards a possible romantic development (who am I kidding, it's 99.9% gonna happen); however, if that jerk does start to develop feelings for her, he better go through some huge (and when I say huge, I mean GIGANTIC) character development. Otherwise that jerk better leave his fingers of Ochako

Deku kind of has a crush on Ochako already XD
If there's two things I can tell that's going to happen right away it's that: A. Kacchan will have a strong development and B. There will be strong relationships, even if it's down the line. While Bakugou's new reaction may be somewhat of a surprise (lol I saw it from a mile away I'm not kidding) I love the way it was handled. Because it just may be that Bakugou developing these kind of feelings, especially for the first time, could help him grow into more of a becoming hero. I can see down the line that maybe both Deku and Bakugou will have to come to their feelings for Ochako, and Ochako could probably refuse both. I mean, that's just one probability. I'm not saying it will happen.
Plus, Deku somewhat liked Ochako because she was the first girl he's ever talked to. But now that they're comfortable he hasn't shown any outward feelings. If anything, him finding strength in her admiration shows that this "somewhat crush" can grow into something stronger. And hey, we did see Ochako getting jealous because of Hatsume (wonder what would have been her reaction if she saw Tsuyu and Deku).
Now I'm rambling a bit here- I see Bakugou developing into Shishido, the lion character in Omagadoki Zoo (the author's first serialization). He's a calmer version of Bakugou- and he's still very rampant. I say that because Shishido makes a kitten-ton of mistakes, but eventually realizes what he did was wrong. Bakugou hasn't learned this trait yet. As for the apparent fan favorite BakugouxOchako, I can see it developing into the relationship Shishido has with the snake Uwabami. Basically he says something dumb, and she calls him out for it, and they begin to bicker back and forth. -that's just my headcanon.
Uuuh, Well, I could see a litlle something something there, but I don't think Bakugou would really fall for anyone. At least I don't think. Well if it must then I at least want the ship tease equal and spread out like in Fairy Tail. But I wanted a stronger IzukuXOchako interaction though.
But the one we got was good, don't get me wrong. It shows how much Izuku cares about her.
Read what I said to Trang lol hopefully it'll help.

If there's one thing I can analyze about Bakugou's character, it's that when he says "kill" he really doesn't mean "kill". Either way it doesn't make that any better; and I also already talked about his problematic view with calling her a b*tch. And you're right- it is his character. Let's also not forget that he told Deku to kill himself multiple times as well. But do you really think that he was going to kill her just to win a tournament for school? That's underestimating him. And there's also the fact that we're still on ch. 34- Bakugou has a lot of character development to go through. There's bitty moments now, but we don't know how Bakugou will respond to Ochako in the future-this chapter was basically the first stepping stone.
So basically, it doesn't negate anything- but there's also a long future ahead of us.

No, he definitely means kill. His display against Deku during the hero tag team training is proof enough against that, he actively tried to kill Deku there too, a point which All Might noticed himself. So there was no "he was only just saying it, he doesn't mean 'kill' when he says 'kill'", because he does mean it.If there's one thing I can analyze about Bakugou's character, it's that when he says "kill" he really doesn't mean "kill". Furthermore, this chapter as it pertains to what tiny development as a character, is nothing new or special, as this scenario where Bakugou showed even a sliver of care has already happened, and he showed an ounce of concern towards Deku following that hero training mentioned above.
Bakugou needs a heaping amount of character development, but what needs to happen first is he needs to get his teeth kicked down his throat (preferably by Deku or Shouto), so he can take that stick out of his ass that doesn't and has never belonged there in the first place.
Also, I saw in your comment above, Deku has shown plenty of outward signs of a crush towards Ochako, including in the past chapter.

Let's try not to jump start a pairing war here, this manga is too new to take such conclusions about pairings and whatsoever
I mean, if we look at Forest of Death arc, going by there with the right development SS might have not turned into the kitten pairing it is today

Someone has read a lot of mangas to see this already coming XD
About Bakugou: I dislike him as of right now. He annoys me, curses too much, and throws big words. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of him; however, given the way he has been represented from the start up to know does tell me that Horikoshi has planned some character development for him in the future. Was Ochako's encounter the start? I suppose it triggered something in him. Of course nothing romantic, but I suppose he and Ochako will form an important friendship/bond in the future. Not the usual type of friendship we see in BnHA though. But there are a few other rather moments here and there that show some sort of thinking from him.
About this intent of killing: Now, truthfully, I don't think he has that instant desire to "kill" anyone. He more of fights with the intent in his head "I don't give a kitten about my opponents' well-being" as long as I win. The thing is: The means he uses could really kill someone as we've seen in the match-up with Bakugou vs Deku. Irresponsible behavior in my eyes.
Do I think he's evil from the bottom of his heart? No. And I doubt he will become evil. Shouto has a higher chance of becoming one, but the latest chapter with Deku stating that Shouto is not like Mr.Flame Guy gives me a reassuring feeling that whatever happens, Deku will form an important bond with Shouto later on- next to Bakugou (I hope Shouto will become an anti-hero or so later on T_T- no Hakuryuu BS pls) Overall, I like this trio Horikoshi has set up. Unusual in the shounen genre (at least for me it is). None of the three boys, Deku, Shouto, and Bakugou, seem to be compatible friends/allies with each other, but Horikoshi proves otherwise. One of my favorite panels of BnHA is this one where the mangaka decided to include Bakugou into this conversation.
I really like this page. Horikoshi didn't have to include Bakugou in here, but he did. Bakugou constantly wonders about the people around him and those who "thwart" him on his way to become Number One. In this case, he realizes that Shouto has indirectly become his rival, too, by declaring rivalry with Deku, his main rival.
If anything, this trio of main guys is one of my favorite aspects about this manga- even more than the romance (which is like something that I don't view as a requirement for this manga tbh).
