The composer said some pro NS things but some could also be interpreted as pro NH like Naruto ending up with a tender woman, when I asked him if Naruto's wife will continue the scary mom trope.

I am not sure RTN is such a good exemple. At least, not in the editor's mind.

Despite its fantastic box office success (top grossing Naruto movie by a wide margin, more than 3 times the gross of Blood Prison), it flopped on the DVD sales (sold barely more than Blood Prison, hence less than lost tower or Inheritors of the Fire of Will. Don't have the earlier movies sales, but it's probably RTN ranks 8th out 9 Naruto movies in DVD sales. The manga sales have not increased with the movie either, despite all the promotion and the success the movie had. Proof that the movie is also a failure on that aspect.

 

There was a demand (people rushed to see Hinata's boobies, which was the most discussed point of the movie before it came out) that was not satisfied by the insignificance of Hinata and the Narusaku aspect of the movie. It's possible Kishi or his editors want to correct that.

So it's pretty obvious that this movie is going to be focusing on love. It tells me that the manga isn't going to confirm any pairings. This movie is.

The tag line about first love may just mean that the love triangle will be concluded here. Hinata is probably on the poster to add to the whole 'first love' thing. Since ya know. Hinata's first love is Naruto. Naruto's first love is Sakura. Sakura's first love is Sasuke.

Unless somehow Hinata gained main character status without anyone knowing, I doubt it will focus on her winning her first love.

 

Kishi said in an interview long ago that he might resolve 'one pairing'. I dunno. Naruto's feelings for Sakura are steady throughout the whole manga. It would be the worst thing if all of the sudden, they changed in a movie of all things.

And if Sakura doesn't want to be with Sasuke anymore and considering it doesn't look like he lives in the village anymore...I'm starting to think that SasuSaku will have little to no role in this love story.

 

It feels like it's going to be NaruSaku vs Naruhina.

nothing new, except that the story movie is about "vacuum time", like what happened between the end of the manga (after the timeskip though) and the movie (or maybe the last part of the movie, i dunno).
