I just think if Kishi wrote at least 10 more chapters... maybe I could accept this outcome or at least NaruHina. Nothing on Earth could convince me SasuSaku has a chance as you need at least 300 chapters to explain how one talk from Naruto helped Sasuke develop feelings he never had

I know it's just a theory, but if what your saying is true then Kishi's got do alot better with story telling.

 

Tbh I'm actually writing a out a story for a book, and I've already got my ideas on how things will go down in the final book (third one). Including characters, plotlines, themes, development, etc. 

I'm not so sure. If he's really so bad at romance than why are we so obsessed with NS?

 

I do think that he is a talented storyteller, it's just his execution. The war arc was imo the only bad arc in Naruto. Part 1-Pain was fantastic. Pain-LOI was good. But LOI to end was atrocious story wise. And I think the biggest problem was the villains. Orochimaru who was the villain in part 1 was fantastic and amusing. You laughed at him as much as you cringed at him. The akatski themselves were all very interesting villains with their own quirks. Sasuke for the LOI was great until he turned good. He was a great villain. But Obito was a bad villain imo bc he didn't have a believable motivation. And Kabuto was not as great as Orochimaru. The rest were just Zetsu zombies with no personalities.

 

Madara was a fantastic villain but by the time he came along we were already hundreds of chapters in and bored.

 

Kaguya came literally out of nowhere ruining her credibility.

 

Unfortunately, while the hero always defeats the villain the Villain drives the plot.

You know what? kitten it. If we're seriously going to sit here and promote this constant state of kittening denial, then to hell with it. I'm out. I'll always ship NS, but frankly this is just ridiculous.

lol I think you misunderstand something. We are not in denial that this ending exists. We are denying that this is the best Kishi could have done. It;s not just us, but alot of Naruto fans of a huge majority feel it too. This ending was just terrible and it went against a lot of what Kishi worked so hard to make.

A lot of fans feel like this is not the ending we deserved.

Let me put it clearly... NaruSaku not happening is the least of my problems with the ending. Yes that was a major let down, but there was too much else that was ignored because it felt like Kishimoto just gave up and wanted to finish this thing

The first is a book series called Divergent. The first two books were great, but the end of the third book I didn't appreciate it. I'm not gonna spoil what happens if you guys haven't read it. 

 

Death Note was another great anime/manga that I really enjoyed, but the way it ended tore my soul apart. Then I just said you know the series of Death Note ends with Light kills Kira cause I'll be honest that's when the series was at it's peak. Once L got out of the picture things slowly, but surely started to fall apart.

L was awesome, but keep in mind that he was technically the antagonist. Perhaps the true measure of a protagonist is the villain he faces.

 

Unfortunately Naruto's final villain was Kishimoto's stupidity. I don't think that NS is going to happen and I had hoped that Sakura would at least get over Sasuke. But every time I go over everything nothing makes sense about the endings. Even in the chapters themselves there are a ton of inconsistencies and just plain weird happenings.

So I have been thinking that Naruto's last words in the manga (pre-epilogue) are "Thank you Sakura-chan." Terribly symbolic in a manga where the "thank you" term is used interchangeably with "I love you." Sakura-->Sasuke in Part 1, Sakura-->Naruto in Part 2, Kushina-->Minato in the flashback. Kushina's words are terribly important becaue it's the parallel for NS. 

 

And I've also been thinking that it is significant that we are never shown Sakura's reaction to Sasuke's return of affection. Just her absolute shock. It was an easy way out for Kishimoto. He negated all her development, and then didn't have to show Sakura's true reaction to losing not only Naruto but herself. The same goes for Naruto's choices. All that is shown is the outcome. Not their reactions. 

 

It's all a cop out, and ultimately one more sign that the Kishimoto knows what he did was counter to the direction of the story.
