I got a confession; I wish Hinata had not been in the series. Unless she was in her more developed look from Part 1, she wasn't so good, given Shippuden ruined her and then she gets rewarded for no reason? =/ No, that's not how it works, and why I hate how the ending ruined the series and continues to ruin it.

I've always preferred Neji over Hinata even in part 1 and especially in part 2. He isn't just pairing fodder and has a much more interesting story to tell than Hinata. I think he could have had a long standing impact on the future of the Hyuga clan at least until he died for the most ridiculous of reasons. It became clear in part 2 that Hinata was never going to amount to much, but what happened to Neji came literally out of nowhere and I honestly never expected something so stupid like that to happen to him.

It is a bigger slap in the face since he gave his life to protect members of the main house like his father. He was supposed to change his destiny but he never escaped his fate as a member of the branch family

I know right? It's even doubly worse that he died to make NH happen (even though it didn't actually matter like the Last shows) but there's actually some NH fans who think it's romantic that Neji sacrificed his life for those two to get together. That's really disgusting and shows how terrible NH is if someone has to die to make them happen, especially a loyal friend like Neji. It's Kishimoto and SP couldn't think of any other way to get Naruto and Hinata to share a scene together except by forcing a death to happen in the mix of things. I don't know what they were thinking because it makes no sense since killing Neji off for the betterment of the main branch, fulfilling his destiny, goes against all the morals and themes established in part 1. It's sad that no matter where you look there are major holes and flaws everywhere with this ending.

I liked part 1 Hinata as well. Kishi gave her an interesting backstory with the conflict between the two hyuga families. She had so much potential and I was looking forward to seeing her develop and become the leader of her clan in part 2. Shame that never happened

I agree with you. I liked all characters in part one. Maybe not as people because many of them were immature brats, but they all added something unique to the story and that made a nice dynamic. Then in part 2, I don't know what Kishi did what he did. But I think he regretted it when she got popular haha! I always felt like he was pinning Sakura against Hinata and I didn't like that. Especially during the CPR, Hinata's rock moment was so unnecessary. It was like he made her pathetic on purpose, and she didn't deserve that. Right now I'm just trying to treasure who the characters were and what they could've become, and let that be seperated from the ending. They just don't hang together to me.

In light of the final pairings, I have no idea why 1: Kishi included the rock scene at all and 2: why he made the parallels between Sakura and Karin so strong as they did everything to save important men in their lives. It seemed like such a clear NS/SK moment, that I don't understand in hindsight.

If Hinata could never move on from Naruto, that Rock scene was unnecessarily cruel. Just like Sasuke unnecessarily putting Sakura down. You can just tell how much Kishi HATES NH and SS.

Bad move to bribe the author into making an ending that is so widely hated by seemingly a majority of the Japanese fandom, you know the ones who actually buy the manga. But anyway, I don't think he likes NH and SS at all because he said he had no intention of telling NH's story, nor does he know how SS even happened. And from that, it's pretty obvious though that Kishimoto simply doesn't care about the Naruto series anymore and is tired of it. He'll just be taking his paycheck and leaving SJ and SP to do what they want with what's left of the series, if there is anything left that is.

I can see why Ramen says he hates it, I mean some those moments they put for SS and NH were basically saying it's not gonna happen especially those one sided moments, NS had everything to show it was gonna happen but Kishi decided to pull a huge mess at the end and stuffs lol

I think it was easy for Kishi because Sakura wasn't part of Kishi's very original concept. If you look at other manngaka's one shot, sometimes you have both hero and heroine, so it's safe to say he/she was thoughtful of them. That is not to say if you think of the hero/heroine later on means you don't care, but it can give that approach.

Gee what are they gonna do next? I wouldn't be surpised that SP would make that Naruto dream't  about Sakura being in Team 7 and in real life Hinata was in Team 7 all along.

She had no contribution whatsoever. She shared a hand with Naruto? So what. Shikamaru could have replaced her. Even Neji. And she jumped into Pein's fight and sparked Naruto? So what. Sakura could have did that. Actually I prefer nobody did that because that was arguably one of the stupidest moves in the entire series. 

 

What's even worse is that those are the only significant things Hinata has ever done in the 700 chapters of this series. That's it.
