I don't buy it either. It literally makes no sense to make Orochimaru a villain again. What's he gonna do? Make Sarada his wife? Orochimaru got redeemed just like Obito and Pein and everybody else. 

 

But then again this is Naruto we're talking about...

I don't think he was really completely redeemed, he just sort of disappeared along with Taka. I'm thinking it might take some TnJ from Bolt to finally turn Orochimaru into a good guy.

My "confession" would be, "I once defended this story. Believing that Kishimoto couldn't possibly write some 9th grade bullsh** like so many people said. Turns out I was right... it was closer to 5th grade cliched bullsh**. The moments of my life stolen from this story I will never get back. At the moment it's just a warning for the rest of my life. Don't waste your life on crap. When something looks bad accept it. If it turns around in the end rejoice and catch up to the story. It's much better then fooling yourself to believe a well written story is being developed."

 

Hey Arnold, a story about kids growing up in a city had more emotinal and human elements then this kittening story. A story about a football headed orpahn who's raised by his whacky Grandparents, and is the secret love of the bully who teases him because she is scared of being rejected, is better written and has more soul and drama then the story about an orphan boy pushed into a war society. Hell Hey Arnold even has more truly heart breaking moments, well Naruto never suffers.... beyond not being able to get his boyfriend back without having to punch him really hard.

 

I.. I just hate this kittening story so much now. I think it's the only reason I hang around, because this story is so broken the world most know how terrible it is!

So the next movie will be about the romance between Orochimaru and the Mizukage? I mean come on she's desperately looking for a man, and this series turned into romance story. So everyone needs to find someone suitable for them.

Yep, except Karin. She is a terrible woman for not getting with Sasuke, and doubly so for not finding someone like him like Ino did.

Let's hope Kishimoto keeps up his high standard and he just creates a new antagonist. I'm hoping he names him "Ima Badguy". His only chance at this point is to enter the so bad it's good territory. Go for the shlock Moneymoto.

That confession is spot on. I've mentioned this before, but I liked Part I Hinata. She had some actual depth. You can debate just how much depth that was, but it's certainly far more than she got in Part II.

I agree with you ! Even though I didn't like Hinata, I could see that in part two, she was.... shallow ! They just threw away all her clan story, her relationship with her father just to focus on her selfish love for 'Naruto-kun' !

I really really hate this moment. Not only was that the only well-animated scene of Sakura's episode, it's OOC for Hinata. She's clearly uncomfortable in those clothes, but women's insecurity/embarrassment is often deemed as a "challenge" and generally something to be attracted to. I feel so sorry for her, because saying "no" is not sexy at all.

I liked part 1 Hinata as well. Kishi gave her an interesting backstory with the conflict between the two hyuga families. She had so much potential and I was looking forward to seeing her develop and become the leader of her clan in part 2. Shame that never happened

I agree with you on Hinata. Part 1 Hinata was definitely more interesting a character. She had potential to grow and become someone capable of much more. In Part 2, she literally became a plastic doll with a pull-string activated catch phrase. That was it - there was nothing else to her. A plastic doll that her "fans" could see their own reflection in.

I've always preferred Neji over Hinata even in part 1 and especially in part 2. He isn't just pairing fodder and has a much more interesting story to tell than Hinata. I think he could have had a long standing impact on the future of the Hyuga clan at least until he died for the most ridiculous of reasons. It became clear in part 2 that Hinata was never going to amount to much, but what happened to Neji came literally out of nowhere and I honestly never expected something so stupid like that to happen to him.
