That will never make sense the hyuuga clan was the most privileged in the village. If they wanted to make up a bullying story they should've went with her lack of skills, like how Kakashi teased Obito about being the loser in an elite clan.

Well they did take that from Sakura's back story of being mocked for her forehead. And there was three of them as well and you look at the last recon aka Hinata sama the movie there was three as well so I wonder what else SP shall take from Sakura and then give to Hinata?

SP stole from both NS and SNS because they both had great moments but the end product became fake af ;p

That's what I wonder as well Sushi makes no god damn sense at all I mean giving how many hyuuga there is and that would be at the ninja school is bs if you ask me.

Now Sakura makes more sense in the long run as she hated her forehead while Naruto loved it as he knew that she hated it.

Well, on top of ripping off her backstory, they pilfered Sakura's Shippuden hairstyle and gave it to Hinata(when she appeared on a poster of Ichiraku).  And we can't forgot how they tried - and failed - to sell us the idea that Hinata had the attributes of a strict mom with a scary temper.  I suppose the next step will be taking away Sakura's prowess as a top medical ninja and transferring that over to Hinata.  

 

Oh, Oh!  Maybe even have Hinata throw a Sakura-like fit the next time Naruto says or does something stupid.

I havent seen Hinata be scary at all in boruto's show ;p it's anime style comic relief so you'd think we'd see an example of it sometime.

Yup, because all we got is Boruto's (the character) statement to go by.  We didn't see "Scary Mom" Hinata when he shoved the birthday cake she gave him to the ground and didn't even apologize for it.  Or the frequent times he's disrespected his father and she's never called him out for it. Maybe "Scary Mom" Hinata in Boruto's mind is when she speaks an extra octave above a whisper.

They already did show in the war arc some filler scene where hinata was healing people. When I don't think it was ever stated that hinata ever learned that.

Well when the daughter was sick, and Bolt & Naruto were arguing she threw them both out of the house after showing a brief scary mom bit. Which is something Sakura would do, not really hinata.

 

The thing is with hinata is that kishimoto didn't really give her much. So when SP became obsessed with her and wanted her to become the heroine. They either had to make something up themselves (hinata is a great cook, hinata can eat the most amount of ramen in an eating contest,) or steal from other characters; most often from Sakura.

Hinata always had been on the weaker side when she was young - but expect to get bullied for something reasonable (just to be clear: bullying is never reasonable IRL. I'm talking abot what makes the most sense within the story) she gets bullied because of a very powerful body-trait. Something she can't do a thing about. Why did they do this? Probably to highlight the "innocent" side of her character even more.

They had a perfect opportunity with her falling out with her father. Remember the story of how Hinata's father didn't think much of her because even he thought she was weak and how he saw Hanabi to be the next leader of the clan? Yeah, that. That would have been a great opportunity to showcase such a thing.

Instead, they made this "she was bullied by other kids for her eyes" bullcrap. Yeah, right....get that out of here. How did none of the other Hyuga kids get bullied then? Also, it just so happens Naruto was there too right?

There are fans who always want to tell me that nothing was retconned in this story and I will keep replying with the same question. Where did anything in the Naruto the Last movie occur in the manga? The scarf, the Hinata bullying by kids, the Toneri thing...where does this all occur?

In fact, since Naruto the Last was being produced in the final two years of the manga, I would argue that Kaguya and Hagoromo and his brother was a product of because they had to creat a back story for Toneri and his family. How convenient that they mention Hagoromo's brother and how he went to make a clan on the moon so late in the manga during the movie development. Which one influenced the other?

That's not canon? Their hair is very different still. If anything, Hinata had short hair -first-.

They gave her an entire 10 minute fight against Pain  when it was only 3 panels in the Manga! Along with unnecessary flashback to being bullied and naruto coming in to defend her to make it an entire episode.

James did they even mention that the brother made his clan on the moon in the manga? From what I recall when we met the sage he started telling us the story of his brother. Then Kaguya mentioned him a few times then we finally see him (who looked exactly like Neji) when she was being sealed up. That's it, it was the moon that made him have a clan on the moon. All so Hinata can become Hinata-hime, Goddess of the Moon.

What really tipped me off was 1. the anime quality of that scene compared to the rest of the episode. She always takes the budget when she's there.

 

In Sakura's episode, she had a scene with a kimono or something and the quality was better than movie quality. Her boobs were so emphazised on and huge they were all over the place. And she didn't even like wearing that. It wasn't her taste at all, and her fashion sense is stated in the DB. I question why a woman's uncomfortability is sexualized and why she's casually wearing as revealing clothes in TL. The answer is she had to because she got upgraded from side character to love interest so she had to throw away the sweatpants.

 

In short I don't hate Hinata I feel sorry for her because she is SP's favorite doll.
