What's so surprising? Sakura is love By many fans and is the top female in Naruto in terms of popularity, in Japan that is, even in the west, but more so in Japan. But yes, sakura is getting a lot of praise by the fan base and her fans.

 

i'm sorry, but I have to disagree. Sakura is the most popular female character in Japan indeed. But she's absolutely not the most popular in the West. Hinata wins every poll in the West (even if I don't understand why)

Go to other forums and ask random Naruto fans, they dont like her. The west isnt a fan of Sakura, she is popular in Japan. The most recent character poll Hinata was above her. But as I said most of those haters are praising her and its surprising.

I will strongly disagree with you, Sakura is not the most popular female character when ti comes to Naruto, i know this because i saw other polls and 2ch.

Second, i hate when people say "in Japan" dude dont say it without pointing out source because srsly, if people starts telling in Japan she's the most or whatever without pointing source i wont consider it.

If Sakura had a really huge popularity she would have a lot of products being sold.

 

Even Rukia is more popular than Sakura in Japan.

Im gonna chime in because I keep seeing the ""its just cpr"" line being used. While the humility is refreshing its a bit overblown imo.

 

A  Manga is a visual medium those 18-20 pages have a limited space to tell a story and the imagery invoked is signifigant. Each panel must succinctly tell a story and each panel with dialogue must advance the plot successfully.

 

The panels where she is giving him CPR are literally some of the hugest--not size wise-- in terms of signifigance. In a manga fraught with symbolism like Naruto has been those panels are as signifigant as they come. She is literally breathing life into him while holding her heart in his hand. The authors intent couldn't be more clear in those panels then if Sakura had a big Neon sign over her head saying "This is mine, this is where my babies come from."

 

Kishimoto-sensei has always used symbolism and applied imagery to great effect in his story. With those 2 panels he has cemented a symbolic bond between the two that goes beyond any mere swapping of spit or hug ever could.

Higher than it's been, for sure. I have no fear that Naruto will stay dead, but I'm more exited to see how this plays out than have been for much of anything in the manga lately, the big battles can only hold my interest for just so long.

I was surprised that people remembered about Sakura Card Captors, i still remember the opening music.
the only thing i dont understand is this Rei ayami, because Asuka was better than her.

Higher than it's been, for sure. I have no fear that Naruto will stay dead, but I'm more exited to see how this plays out than have been for much of anything in the manga lately, the big battles can only hold my interest for just so long.

Yeah, it's like a good break time. Good thing we didn't go straight to another battle, rather it's like the last gathering before the biggest of the war. It actually feels like a war, as in scattered scenarios. One is in battlefield, the other is in dying field like Tobirama can't move, Sasuke dying, the other is like trying to find a cure to save Naruto, and so on. Funny, it was once one main focus, and now, it feels like it's spread out again. Yes, we will go back to one main focus soon, but still, this is good, especially pacing is running nicely.

Yeah, I don't think polls are terribly reliable. I suppose they can give an idea of the popularity of this and such character, but they just seem like a very subjective source, in my opinion. And really, I don't care if Sakura is unpopular here, or popular there, I love her character regardless.

Yeah, I don't think polls are terribly reliable. I suppose they can give an idea of the popularity of this and such character, but they just seem like a very subjective source, in my opinion. And really, I don't care if Sakura is unpopular here, or popular there, I love her character regardless.

Me too, i'm just tired of people claming stuff from both sides barely knowing nothing and without providing sources and claiming in Japan or whatever, popularity affects the story like what happened with Hinata however doesnt change the outcome, cases like Jiraiya on this story are presented and other stories aswell.
