lolol ShikaIno is actually the reason I went with "pairings involving Naruto, Sakura, or Hinata (unless it's NejiHina) XD I still like ShikaIno, NejiHina, and a couple of other pairings, but not really to the extent that I used to.

Kidding. Kind of. I already figured it'd go Korra/Mako (or at least Korra-with-a-crush-on-Mako), so this stuff is really just rubbing it in X(

Lol, Shikaino is pretty much the only pairing that I still like, but that's because I'm ... kinda of obsessed with the childhood friend trope. (wich I assume they are since their families know each other for long)

This is Asami Sato and she is an non bender and professional driver, big fan of pro bending, wich gives me the strong feeling she will join the crew for love drama sake.

I've just always liked the idea of lazy Shikamaru and talkative Ino balancing each other out; them being childhood friends adds some sweetness to it, though.

Mmm, I've heard of her; didn't know she was a pro-bending fan. *shrug* I hope, if she does cause drama, that it doesn't take over a good chunk of the show. So far I'm in the "please no shipping" camp for this series.

Lol, I still kind of don't understand why you feel so... wary of romance in legend of Korra, I mean, it doesn't feel too corny or silly so far. Like the scene were Mako wins an whole match all by himself and Korra just stand looking at him totally awestruck, I think they nailed it perfectly.

On other news, remember how I complained about the ending of the game Mass effect 3? Well, turns out so many other people complained as well, to the point that Bioware is going to release an DLC for the endings to extend and explain them. Now the problem is, we don't want the ending to be extended, we want a new ending that can satisfy us. To explain it better, an wise guy said on the internet: "we don't want you all to explain why your crap stinks, we want you to give us something that isn't smelly kitten". So to put it short, the only thing that was extended is my suffering DX

I'm wary of it mostly because I didn't enjoy the pairings from the first series; the only one I kind of liked was Sokka/Suki, and it got minimal screentime. I also really really like these series for just about everything else in them besides the romance, so a lot of times, to me, it feels like the romance comes in a mucks things up, y'know? *shrug* If it happens, it happens, and I'll probably still watch the show for everything else in it, but so far there are only two episodes out and I've seen/heard way too much about pairings already for my liking. Just makes me groan thinking about how bad it could get when there are more episodes.

Oh wow, that sounds lame. The only thing I can think of is that the explanations might be....ok? But still, if enough fans are protesting, don't release an extension: release an interview, article, something that has the writers/creators directly explaining where they were coming from. If the response to that is positive, then release an extension. If it remains negative, consider giving an alternate/new ending.

And, you can't let the fact that everybody is talking about romance make you feel less interested in the series, I mean, hey, maybe the relationships on this series are well done. *shurg* I try to be positive about it... that's all I can do anyway.

That dude...is awesome lol Even though I haven't played the games, I was able to grasp exactly what was done poorly with the ending(s?).

Oh no no, I don't mean that fans talking about the romance and pairings are making me lose interest--I mean that the clips, trailers, and legit art from the show, released early by the production team, are making me lose interest. I'm not sure why they're releasing so much for this show before it's even aired, but they've put enough focus on the romance already that I'm getting tired of it. The fans talking about it just adds to that annoyance lol Like I said, I'm probably gonna watch anyways because I really like everything else so far; I'm just not holding my breath for romance that I'll find interesting.

Well, what kind of romance would interest you?

And about the ending, look at this videos to understand even better:

In mass effect 3 the main character must unite the whole galaxy army in order to fight the reapers, the big baddies, machines that kill all inteligent species every 50000 years. And then on this scene he brings this colossal fleet to fight them, while Shepard goes to earth in an atempt to fire an super weapons that will kill the reapers for good.



And after a lot of struggle, he reach the super weapon, only to find a little ghost kid, that came out of nowere, only to explain you that he controlled the reapers all along, and the reason for this madness is that he destroy inteligent life, so they don't creat machines that might kill organic life......... well, why don't they just kill every machine that turns hostile instead then? No logic. Then he offer 3 choices to end everything: control the reapers. Shepard control the reapers and is destroyed in the process, and you will never know if that infinite power will corrupt him and turn him in another genocidal maniac. In other option you combine organic and synthetic life turning everyone in a bunch of hybrids, you just play god with the galaxy against their will, or you can choose to just destroy the reapers once and for all. But destroying them will destroy all synthetic life, including the geth, friendly machines that the main character met in the series, wich you struggled a lot to help them. This is the destroy ending, wich is supposed to be the best ending:



In all endings the mass relays blow up, without them, you can't travel into space anymore, and that big fleet you saw will get stuck on earth, forever, they will never go back home, and your ship, for no aparent reason try to make an jump in the mass relay in an attemp to escape the blast, and in return, get stranded in an unknow planet with no way to return. Your loyal friends in the entire franshise are separeted from you forever, and that is how it ends!

Edit: What kind of romance? One that doesn't involve typical teenager crap that's forced to somehow mesh with a plot focused on much bigger and better issues like world war, peace/conflict within yourself, and acceptance of differences in yourself and others? The stuff between Aang and Katara was predictable, but unlikable for me. Zuko and Mai were incredibly off-putting. The Zuko/Katara teasing--even though it wasn't, according to the creators?--was interesting until it stopped to make room for the first pairings I mentioned.

They are, but that doesn't necessarily mean they have to have a typical teenage romance, especially considering the kind of people they are and the world they live in. But, nothin' to do but wait and see. And avoid pairing discussions 'til the show actually comes out lol
