Just a question for anyone reading this: Are any of you really going to stick around for spoiler summaries, real or fake, and have the ending of Naruto ruined for you? I don't think I'll be around any of the Naruto sites until MP releases the chapters.

I look a little to know how people are excepting this to end. It's monday so it's good I know that I will not see a real spoiler. 

The other days I will not look. I don't want to see a panel from the middle of the chapter taken out of its context.

Yup. plus Why is this the comment for this week? Does he really think we don't know the manga would have been sent to the printers days ago already? All the crazyness for this week would be anticipation for the reaction to the end and laughing his arse off as his assistant tells him about the fans reaction to the filler movies, because you know Kishi is the only under 40 year old who doesn't own a computer. That still blows my mind, 2014 and not owning a computer, he is probably the most famous under 40 year old I know who hasn't embraced modern tech.

 

I wonder how he'll react when he starts his next peice of work and is told everyone else uses tablet (not like ipad but like drawing tablets) to draw thier work.

Might still happen, remember this is the final chapters for the second most popular manga over the past 15 years, the demand will be high for this chapter, so they'll be printing allot more copies than usual, and when Demand is higher to take out any possability of delays goods are often sent out earlier than usual. So it is possible that the release does arrive early, but we shouldn't get our hopes up, it's better to think it's business as usual and be pleasently surprised if we get it early than expecting it early and then getting pissed off when it arrives at usuay times.

 

Infact WSJ might want to keep a tighter grip on the release to make sure the epilogue is not leaked on the web early and get ruined for the Japanese audience so we might not get it until it officially releases in Japan.

New here! But quickly I personally thought that 698 was one of the best chapters of this series by far. Something about seeing that panel where Sasuke accepts defeat spoke to me. I also thought it was really appropriate that we finally, after all these years, get to see Sasuke's perspective on his relationship with Naruto. This whole time he was jealous of Naruto and was scared of the family atmosphere of Team 7 because of what happened to his original family. 

As for the next chapter, it is very likely that Sakura arrives with Kakashi and they're both very scared and shocked (but Sakura will ultimately get to the healing. Maybe we'll get that Infinite Tsukuyomi undone) And the NS moment will come there I believe when Sakura sees Naruto. Naruto should be like "A promise is a promise. I told you I would bring him back" That would just be so cute

Well, it is a little infuriating that Naruto didn't win the battle, because this means that he never actually beat Sasuke. Still it seems that, on an ideological level, Sasuke has acknowledged his defeat. 

 

But the biggest shocker was the ending. I definetaly didn't expect that. Now I'm even more excited for the finale.
