Am I the only one that just wants to strangle someone when NH fans say Hinata is more like Kushina? That argument is seriously getting annoying.

Why even bother with the Sakura haters? Rational arguments don't work on people whom are already choosing to use an irrational thought process. In fact haters of anything in general are best ignored.

Okay...seriously? People write threads about her being on team 7? 

 

Hinata would not last a week as Tsunade's apprentice. she doesn't any where near as good of chakra control as Sakura. And that's a fact. It's not bashing it's just a fact.

I don't get it.  First, when the parallel was confirmed, they said how it didn't matter and that they didn't need to "rely on" useless parallels. Next thing I know, people are still desperately trying to find ways and aspects in which Hinata is similar to Kushina. So, which is it? Does the parallel matter or not? Obviously it does matter if they still are trying to find ways that nullify the Sakura and Kushina parallel. 

I understand that this parallel confirmation was a major blow to their ship and, like any normal human being, they're upset about it. However why is it so hard to accept canon facts and move on? The parallel has been confirmed. There is nothing they can do about. No amount of comparisons between Hinata and Kushina will ever change the parallel. Period. I guess painstakingly attempting to nullify the parallel's accuracy is their way to cope after receiving such a major blow.

i know.. im glad there were rational members (non-sakura fans) on the thread, calmly proving how hinata cannot compare to sakura, coz her biggest feat was 64 palm, not kaiten like kid neji's.

A lot of people sure missing out that Hinata was never that strong or any powerhouse character, rather just made to be a person who can push harder if inspired by another. In a way, I guess that's why we have two Hyuuga in side characters lineup. Sure we have or had 4 Uchiha, but each of them do serve a purpose and some of them separates from other due to their nature like how Obito doesn't act like a fully Uchiha user since he does only teleport and katon, but now he's more Naruto-like user. Madara is pretty much Sasuke's max though thanks to fusion, he could do at least that tree stuff, but that's really it. Hell, he even gets asspull like Sasuke. I mean reverse Edo anyone? But anyway, I think you get my point.

The thing is, the similarities between Sakura and Kushina have been confirmed three friggen times! Kishimoto even said Sakura and Kushina are practically one in the same (I'd provide link, but I forgot)

 

And when someone tries to set them straight, they just ignore it and make up some other random argument to make NH seem more likely to happen whenever it has pretty much the lowest chance out of all the others.

 

I really just want to say NaruHina is dead. I really do. After 631. Naruto saying Sakura was his girlfriend proved that he still loved her. That chapter also reinforced Sakura and Kushina's similarities. 

 

The counter arguments of the following some people use to deny this chapter are just...I can't say it nicely.

 

 

I'm just going to say it. NaruHina is dead. SasuSaku has a bigger chance of happening now, but it still has a long shot. After 631 I cannot see Naruto going to Hinata. I just can't. And I'll continue to say this until Kishimoto proves me wrong.

I don't think so at all. Kishimoto clearly said in an interview that he just wanted to make he an honest and stubborn girl but it seems that this's not the message adopted by lettors. I just think that Kishimoto has simply overstimated the japanese lettors' average intelligence, after all we'are talking about a standard of boys (Naruto is read mostly by males than females).

Kishimoto wrote that confession in order to bring a clear message but apparently he failed and that confession became probably something that he couldn't imagine, he has only increased the hatred of lettors towards Sakura, especially from occidental audience.

I would agree with you but if you look closely, the person who was asking those question was Sakura's Voice Actor during the jump festa and she said Sakura was too harsh with Naruto on the confession and was using his feelings for her own sake, if even Japanese Sakura's VA said this imagine what the occident would say about the summit too.

I think kishi failed because at the same time he made the confession he was more concerned on how to not make NS canon on that scene than to deliver a clear message.

In the end it was so ambiguoes that even he used Sai to explain and got even more confusing, first he said that he did the confession for Naruto but at the same time she was doing it for Sasuke too?

Then said that she was going to kill Sasuke and she wanted to be the one who would do it cuz she loves him and at the same time made it seem that she could not do it because she love him too.

It's funny and crazy.

so I see a lot of fans, be it naruhina, narusaku, sasusaku, etc talking about Minato's comment to Sakura/Naruto. a lot of people are of the mind that Naruto understood it as 'girl friend', as in friend who is a girl, or Minato meant that.

"In Japanese we don't have a word that can be used for both "girlfriend" AND a "friend who's a girl".

Besides I read the raw. Minato said 『もしかして…ナルトの彼女かな？』
This cannot be translated anything other than girlfriend or lover.

彼女can be translated to girlfriend, lover, or she.

But when it's translated to she, it is used the same way as the english "she".
She has a cat. She is training.
彼女は猫を持っている。彼女は修行をしている。

There is no way 「彼女」 could be translated to "she" with the way Minato's speaking.

Minato asked 『もしかして….ナルトの彼女かな？』
もしかして….Could it be….
ナルトの Naruto's
彼女かな？Girlfriend(Lover)?

So, no, as he says, there's no girl who is a friend. It's girl-friend as in lover. Simply.

And Naruto's answer is this:

Naruto「まぁ…そんなところだってばよ！！」
Naruto"Well…that's about it dattebayo!!"

The word was Kanojo, with no double-meaning like the english 'girlfriend', which means both romantic partner and girl who is a friend. Kanojo simple means girlfriend/lover.

unless Minato was saying 'naruto, is that by chance your she?'

Minato asking to Naruto if Sakura is his friend who is a girl doesn't make sense. Why would someone ask if someone is his/her friend for nothing.

Most probably if Naruto gets injured when he's fighting Obito. That's the soonest NS moment I think we can get now. Unless something else unexpected happens with the fight now.

Yup. He made Sakura think only about Naruto's feelings during her confession to him then had Sai explain the situation and in the process made such a mishmash that it would be easy to misinterpret scenes that follow under the bridge and 540.

That's why it sounds so ridiculous and it became a double standard . Not only that ,but it felt like  she was doing the confession more for her and Sasuke's sake than for Naruto which is anything else but logical...

So here are a  few questions - why did he avoided making NS canon then and there? if it made it canon back then how would it inflict the story back then?Why didn't he make her move on after the incident under the bridge ? Why did he made 540? - pairing drama not included nor a judging of her love .

Will she get a decent fight like the one she had with Sasori or not?

I think hating Sakura because of the confession now is a waste and will only damage the reading comprehension and the understanding of Sakura's character. Of course it's up to interpretation, but we're supposed to be over this by now. If not you are mentally behind in the manga. I think we were supposed to follow the Naruto and maybe Sai's view on her confession.

 

I also completely disagree with the people saying it was selfish. You can say a lot about Sakura's confession, but it was absolutely not. She had nothing to gain from it. It was a huge disadvantage on her part, and she struggled to go through with everything. I know some people think she used Naruto's feelings to kill Sasuke, but I think killing Sasuke was not for his sake, and a plan B. I've explained that before, but if anyone wants me to repeat I will.

Depends on the phasing. I did not like the last chapter at all, because it felt like Kishi was just saving time and filling the space. So it's hard to predict. I predicted 650 in the prediction thread, but it might be longer than that. Now I'm only talking about the obvious upcoming Rin parallel, but we might get random inputs here and there too. I'm not hoping too much, because I think Kishi solidified NS again with 631, and feels like he doesn't need to add anything before the very plot relevant Rin parallel.
