The Avengers (2012): 10/10
Amazing simply amazing, will be a hard act for the rest of the Summer Movie Season to follow. The Dark Knight Rises will probably be better but I dunno about The Amazing Spider-Man even though the new trailer I saw for it gave me more hope.

The Avengers: 8/10
Pretty good movie. It didn't exactly blow me away for some reason, though. This might change after one or two more viewings, but...yeah.

*shrug* Your loss. It's a good movie. By the way, Green Lantern is DC, not Marvel. ermm.gif

Oh really? I didn't know that. I thought GL was Marvel...It definitely felt as corny as Marvel. Still superhero movies are too corny for my taste...Except maybe the Dark Knight.

Definitely a preference thing. Apples and Oranges. I like both equally. I definitely am looking forward to the Dark Knight Rises, but Avengers is what I was looking forward to the most.

Avengers 10/10

Just awesome! And even my friends who usually don't like super hero movies said they enjoyed it. That being said, I can see how some people might not be swayed by it. The first third of the movie is kind of long in the tooth to kind of fill in people who haven't been following the marvel films. There are some things that seemed a little off to me. But these are just nit-picking things now. Tony's dialogue seemed not as fresh as in the stand-alone movies. He was cracking jokes but they seemed... not Downey-esque. It's probably because he stuck more with the script this time, he improvised a lot in the Iron Man films. Also... the Hulk hulking out... how did he direct it the second time? But yes. I loved the Hulk moments. 111189.gif

Not really. Just a nice little gem after the credits finish rolling and they go eat Shawarma (isn't this just a rolled up gyro?). No one says anything and they're all dead tired. It's great to see them in that setting and it makes sense that no one says anything. Not just on a comedic level but because when you're really dead tired and hungry. There isn't much to be said until you're done eating. Loved it! Oh and the whole Thanatos thing. Awesome!

With Man of Steel coming up and a Batman reboot probably soon after, I'm sure after seeing the numbers that this film will make this weekend that DC will be anxious to get JLA rolling again. Although... I can't see Martian Manhunter getting his own movie.

5/5. Definitely one of the best movies I've seen in a long while.

The characters all have their funny moments, I'm guessing it's because of Joss Whedon, but EVERYONE with a name has at least 1 snark that sent me to giggles. In general, this movie has an excellent blend of plot and action, and their characterizations from their own movies shines wonderfully here, especially Thor's.

In regards to the upcoming Dark Knight Rises movie, I'm not gonna judge which one's the best, The Avengers goes through one direction in terms of presentation, the Dark Knight saga goes the other, I will simply say that (if DKR lives up to the hype) they are/will be simply kickass superhero movies.

Besides, aside from 3 awesome trailers, DKR hasn't even come out yet. Same with Spider-Man

Ok, I have to say this: The Avengers and TDK shouldn't even be compared. Why? They're two very, very different types of movies. The Avengers is a well-executed popcorn flick, whereas TDK was more symbolic, dark, and had several themes to get across.
The Avengers is not better than TDK, that's for certain. In the same way, TDK shouldn't be compared to The Avengers. Two different types of movies.
And if you say that they're the same type because they're "superhero movies", then I would politely ask you to leave and never spout something like that out of your keyboard again.

Actually, he didn't. He ad-libed this one just as much as his iron man movies, but I believe it's because Iron Man has a lot less lines then the Iron Man movies.\

The Avengers I give also a 10/10. One of the best super-hero movies I have seen. All the characters were great and the movie was just awesome. I didn't think they would pull it off, but they did. The conversations between Stark and Rogers was epic. One a intellectual, the other a soldier. Like two sides of the same coin.

BTW, the scene after the credits was hilarious.

I also agree that TDK and Avengers should not be in the same category. They are just two different movies.

I also give Avengers a 10/10 like everyone else has said best super heroes movies ever it even beat Potter's record on opening. But I admit that Joss Wheedom did an awesome job directing the movie (what can I expect from the creator of the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer).

With Men In Black 3 coming out today I go back and look at the first 2.

Men In Black (1997): 10/10
Hilarious, scary, action packed this movie has it all. It also helps the 2 leads have tremendous chemistry.

Men In Black 2 (2002): 4/10
Unfunny, short and severely lacking the chemistry that made the original awesome this is a prime example of how NOT to do a sequel.
