Very true but it still makes no sense because they hate it, but they still watch it just to criticize it. I'm not watching, since I was a bit disappointed especially with how Korra is acting like a jerk.

There are usually two reasons for people to hate it like this. The first is the typical haters gonna hate, were people hate the show, but keep watching simply because they want to find more excuses to hate it even more. And the second reason is "we hate it because it used to be good". These people are pissed because they loved the show when it used to be good and enjoyable, but now are forced to swallow this piece of crap. They hate it and will complay to no end. But will still watch it simply because they are too attached to give up now. I know that because it's exactly how I feel when it comes to other series like Naruto.

Geez tonight i am really excited because its the origins hour long epsiode with steven yuen from the walking dead!

Yes I'm not only an avatar fan but also walking dead fan. Its going to be wan on friday, glenn on sunday. :argh:

This is almost enough to make me fanboy in a good way over the stuff.

But yes this episode looks very very good because of the animation alone, I cannot wait for it in around 2 hours.

Going by this episode..

Thats the gist of it.

Now as for the other stuff

Other than this, spirits was a very awesome episode. I loved origin stories like this, but guess what: if you think about it, great evil great power, coming back in a long time, kinda seems like Naruto's current setting with the ten tails huh?

I liked Wan though, it was nice to see the lion turtles too. Such a great animation style. Hard to believe steven yun voiced him, the same guy who does Glenn on the walking dead.

I always get the impression that it's always fun to poke the hate on something popular or just hate because we become spoil overtime as in like we want our own version of the story. I guess fanfic creates a safer environment because if some don't do so, I think I would hear "Misery" story on news.

Is the consensus here that if you don't like Legend of Korra, it means you're just a hater without valid reasoning?

I don't see it like that. If you don't like it, then ok. If you address it with a reason, it will become a challenge whether we want to concur it or not. The reason should be good or else we talk back. That or something we can understand. I know there are people that just say "hater" in matter of second, but that's Internet for you.

Hopefully, she's much matured now. I guess that's why her breakdown happened because well it was one way to say she was at her limit in temper, but now, she got to carry this responsibility and she got to do what's seem to be impossible in many years. So yeah, we can hope for uprising in a good way.

What breakdown? ^

Anyway I also think she has matured, because she is thinking with her Avatar brain. When dealing with the civil war, she was only thinking of her family's wellbeing, and it even seemed like she forgot about the dark spirit conflict. :/

Ok not breakdown, bad choice of word. More like her temper was boiling red hot when she should remain calm and don't take it on Mako, which that actually happened. When you think about it, it was crazy to do more fuel to fire by asking others to assist in combat rather than something else, which shockingly I agree with Mako on that one. Yes, the situation was getting bad, but don't add fuel to a fire. Everyone has their faults in the previous episodes, bad or sad, but Korra just got carried away. Now, well she get it and I'm glad for this short amnesia trip happened. So, things may start to bounce back.

I noticed that everyone are losing themselves in their own ways, which I should have seen it coming since episode 1. Bolin was losing fame in the game or rather getting a different fame of being the worst team that lost in matters of second. Now, his ego is showing (kissed the girl as not being in the script, want to be called a fictional guy name) and yeah, he actually said nope to his own brother while he was enjoying in pool. Asami was hinted that her company was going down but she kept her head up and hope for rebound but when walking away, she looked sad that it may never happened. After robbery, she lost everything and pretty much hitting to her lowest point, seeking for security, hence the kiss. Now, she's happy again but at what cost. So, honestly, despite some displayment of characters in the series, it's actually pretty good. Again, some can be handled well, but it would seem like everyone are heading for development and wakeup from their own situations. Mako is actually doing stuff, even though it is arguable that everyone got stepped down but really it make sense. Only one that doesn't unless proven otherwise is Lin. I don't know why she's like this now, but I guess the makers don't know what to sidelined her for Mako but who knows. So hopefully, the next episode or so will be beginning of rebound.

I really enjoyed these two episodes. Wan is a interesting character and easy to root for, he'd have made a good protagonist in his own rite. There's just one inconstancy that is bothering me, doesn't the whole Lion Turtles granting people the ability of the elements recon on what was originally established, that man learned the elements from the dragons, badger moles, sky bison and moon respectively? What are others' thoughts on this?

Say here is something I found on the Ign comments

In case no one noticed, Korra and Wan's story are the same.
Both are rash and reckless in the begining.
Wan gets manipulated by evil and commits a huge mistake.
Korra gets manipulated and commits a huge mistake by opening the portal.
Wan develops by learning from his mistakes and trains hard.
Korra will do the same for the end of Book 2. She will train with Tenzin or Jinora (as shown in the trailer) and make it up for her mistakes.
I hope people get it why Korra is very rash in the beginning of Book 2, it's done on purpose for the end the Book.
