[Gaara's hair]

 

Would it shock them to learn that some of us aren't concerned with how irritated they become? Kishi and his precious assistant (who seems to be very involved in the fandom and with the story personally) brought this upon themselves when they chose to dig this ridiculous hole. Now it's up to them to try and rationalise why they dug it in the first place.

 

If I were these dissidents on tumblr, I would probably show that man a number of raw panels (yes, I know where to find and download quality raws up until the last few volumes) depicting the various NS scenes from the manga that date back to as late as #631 and #663. Then inquire as to what the point was for making all of these scenes and reinforcing them in the Databooks for so long (even in the most recent one, Naruto's love for Sakura remains the same and there's no caption or quote implying an attraction towards Hinata). Could he offer a well-reasoned explanation? I doubt it. This decision to have Naruto and Sakura perform a complete 180 in characterisation and have them not even acknowledge each other feels very last minute.

apparently noone read my comment so I'll repost it:

 

guys the interview about kishimoto not being able to go on his honeymoon was real, it was talked about after chapter 700 in the official release, so I guess you could say we were right about road to ninja being what he wished the series could be and he just did this ending so he could finally end the series even if it was rushed and spend time with his family, so mostly likely these new series are like naruto's version of gt, which means maybe someday kishi will come back to it and continue it and give us the true ending. in fact what he said in his comment in the mangaka comments was:

 

 "With the final chapter finally here, I have conflicted emotions. I feel both happy and sad. The only thing I'm completely sure of is the gratitude I feel towards the readers. Thank you for supporting me until the end. Otsukaresama, believe it! "

 

reason I haven't tried printscreening them is I'm not sure if the website for vizmanga is working right now, I had to use my shonen jump live app to read it. hold on i'll check

I've actually been drafting a letter to Kishimoto. I was originally just using it as a form of catharsis, but it's getting awfully tempting to send for real.

A pairing not happening destroys fifteen years of hard work on a story that barely had anything to do with romance? This wasn't a shoujo manga. Do you realize how immature and irrational this is? I was wrong. This Narusaku downfall isn't anything like the fall of Zutara, because Zutara shippers weren't nearly as horrid as the narusaku fandom is being.

 

We were wrong, and yet that gives people the right to send hate and death threats? How can you call yourself rational and think this is okay? Over a shonen fight manga aimed at children? You know what? I'm glad our ship didn't happen. We don't deserve it.
