Yeah, I agree on some cases with Hinata. She seems like she is really lacking in her character, not to mention too she doesn't know how strong Naruto really is, which is why I think she needs to find a way to get closure for her character and not need Naruto to be a means of confidence or that her job is just to protect Naruto when he can protect himself and others pretty well... considering too she has a LOT of potential.


OK, on the subject, I wonder to myself if Hinata is aware of Naruto's feelings for Sakura, guys. It hasn't been shown before, though I've been curious for a while now if she even knows Naruto doesn't reciprecate Hinata's feelings.

That's how I feel as well, I don't normally mind the things hinata does to much It can get annoying that shes only "naruto-kun" "naruto-kun" but I can kind of understand that she has good intentions, its just that her fanbase always tries to up play what she does and give her way more credit then she deserves for her actions, they act like she literally does more than anyone else does for naruto which isn't even true.

Hinata's character and personal conflicts were at their peak in development during the Chunin Exams when you really think about it. It was arguably the only instance in the manga where her character was focused around a story or situation that did not pertain only to Naruto. Also to those claiming that Hinata should focus on becoming the heiress of her clan you have to keep in mind that her father had branded her a failure originally because of her timid demeanor and lack of noteworthy strength or ability. Of course that's changed considerably but we can't forget about Hanabi who was stated to be the future heiress of the clan and was in fact claimed to be stronger than Hinata IIRC.

Wow all those theories you mentioned are whacked and pure biased made by the fandom. If any of them will be true Hinata will have to be a protagonist and someone very important to the plot of the story, which she isn't at all. She's not the heroine, just a secondary support character who is not important to the story. Now that her development is done she will probably go back to the back and if she's shown she will only be there to fill space in panels.

You know, I don't know about Hinata as well. I bet even Kishi thought the same because he sounded like he don't get it either. He only did one thing for Hinata and suddenly, she received tons of credits. He may be told by editors to keep her in line for fans, so it happened that this arc is all on side characters, so he thought it is a best time to do so. I think his color spreads suggest who is important to him and a lot of them are Naruto and Team 7 (Naruto, Sakura, insert 1 or 2 people).

Same here. It's like I said, each team has one character that get more attention than the rest. Hinata is that person in Team 8. Anyway, I think development of hers is done here or complete, but we may still see her doing defensive and such.

Well, thats because of her huge fanbase, but I dont really have a big problem with it.
I think its ok from kishis side to give her more focus then other side characters. Think about it, we are also happy if he gives our favourite character screentime.
As long as its not changing or destroying the flow of the story (like NH canon) its ok.

As long the title heroine is on Sakura, I'm ok. That said I do wonder what is Kishi doing next for her. I understand this arc is about all friends (side characters) making their shine for themselves and Naruto, but I think we are due for our main characters. It's funny because we just have the confirmation of the main heroes, so it makes you think what is he doing next.

True, he of course could have given sakura more action and screentime during the war but if we think back, hinata also didnt got that much screentime. Ok the last 3 chapter had some hinata in it , but in the rest of the arc there wasnt that much.
I think kishis reason for not giving sakura more action, was that he just wanted to focus on naruto and the rest of the alliance. He wanted to show the size of the "naruto world", so i think he just didnt have enough space for sakura.

@NS4L3g: Iam not sure if kishi is really going to show sakura that heroine like during this arc now, i think its the "the arc of the side characters" . Im sure she will get her moment, but i dont think there will be an epic one. Maybe he just confirmed naruto and sakura as heroes again because he knows that fans would be angry over her missing screentime and just wanted to remind us that theres still something big coming for her. Same as road to ninja, i also think it was some kind of apology for her low interaction in the current arc.

That was just a nice little present to her character, since it was her birthday and all... I won't have minded it so much, if it wasn't for the fans...Like you guys have already said, it's not that we really dislike Hinata... ( well, some of us do...but you know what mean! ) the rest of us still like her, it's just....she centers so much around Naruto...like that's the only part of her character, and I know she could do so much more...it's a real bummer. And it's getting to the point where at times...I find her character really annoying.

and you know....it's true. even saying something as mild as "Hinata is annoying" on youtube....will get people attacking you from all sides.


( I know because I have done it before...I must have been out of my mind...lol.. I didn't think it would be THAT big of a deal. people were saying far worse things about Sakura....and no one was freaking out and getting mad at them... )

If she really ends up dying soon, then we'll have to see how everyone, especially Naruto, reacts to that. Then, if Obito is to bring her back, we'll have to see what made him come to that decision. This could all take a while. It just depends on what route Kishi decides to take. . But it shouldn't be TOO difficult if he has some things already planned out for this year, especially the important things.

I guess birthdays don't matter too much, but it just goes to show that time is really wonky in their world if Kishi can't get them their birthdays on their birthdays.

I would LOVE it if Naruto dies somehow and Sakura ends up bringing him back with Chiyo's technique then dies in the process. I drew a picture for this particular scene and everything. I think that would quite the scene actually and really touching.
