Actually, I dunno... I wouldn't be surprised if Rio might show up later. That is, if Ishida will make the events he had with Kijima cannon.

The game has multiple endings. I don't know if he can put it in canon but if he does, he has to pick one path.

 

Then again, he does meet Kaneki and all, so wouldn't that interfere canon already?

Oh he can do that. I believe it happens with Gundam Seed universe, so it wouldn't surprise me. Just trying to see where it can be placed at. The next arc feels like it's already stacked. Maybe an aogori member? I don't know.

If that's the case, Kaneki can go to him and have a collection of One Piece volumes and "accidentally" slipped and land all the collection right on his face. Then slipped again with Hajime no Ippo collection. Then Detective Conan collection. And so on.
