So yes, in that very same reply he says she is the heroine of Naruto. She's just not the typical Shonen Jump main heroine. So yes, Kishimoto wasn't being inconsistent when he said at the Jump Festa interview that Sakura was the main female character and the main heroine. In fact he's kind of sensitive about criticism of her character because she was much more his original creation than even Naruto himself. He takes the criticism as people say he lacks skill at creating his own original characters, and then resolves to try harder to make Sakura fit into what people's notions of what a Shonen Jump heroine should be like, because those letters make him feel he can't create a heroine that Shonen Jump readers see as a heroine.

Oh, wow. So they bash something Kishi created from his own mind and not a SJ stand-point. :l That's absolutely terrible! It's something he mind in his mind, more his original creation then Naruto himself. Hm- it must really hurt Kishimoto when people say real bad things about her like in fan mail in such... It's alright Kishimoto! I absolutely LOVE Sakura! Thank you for making such an excellent character of your own design!

QUOTE (crazyefra @ Jul 21 2010, 06:06 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I suddenly feel angry and pissed that I have to ask: Is there any big evidence of Sakura really loving Naruto and vice versa to shut those Sakura haters, NH and SS fans up? It's just that I'm sick and tired of people ruining everything Kishimoto is making with his manga by making up all those ridiculous theories that were made from thier own "fantastic" little world. One thing is having one favorite pairing but when taking it to this obsessive level where everyone has to agree with them or just die or get bashed for disagreeing. I'm sorry for sounding rude but enough is enough, I try to be in peace but it's making me extremely pissed off.

I don't think, even if they make NaruSaku canon, they'll ever stop bashing Sakura. I mean, when I first saw Sakura in part 1 I thought she was a bit- hm, how should I put this, clueless? But when I saw her protecting Naruto and Sasuke I was like "YES, YOU GO SAKURA!" and I started to love her. I guess people don't care what she does, I mean she got stabbed protecting Chiyo - and she still had her whole life ahead of her to but she still did it to save an old lady. She saved HINATA's life after she was attacked by Pain/Yahiko; was that acknowledged? Nope. Saved the little girl Tami's life and beat the centipede when the Jounin themselves were running away from it. Went running after Naruto when he went Kyuubi - saying she'll save Sasuke for him (Though that kinda back-fired).
Seriously, these people just can't suck it up and appreciate everything that Sakura has done, I mean she saved the big-boobed goddess Hinata.

QUOTE (alexander @ Jul 21 2010, 06:14 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
There is no big evidence at the moment, and doesn't matter if you ask me, no matter what would happen, even if Naruto and Sakura had a kid together, I bet the fandom would still be in denial, saying that Narusaku is not cannon, lol, they just can't accept the idea of another pairing that is not the one they ship. And about Kishimoto suffering with Sakura bashing, this is partially his fault, since he aways making sakura mess up at some point, giving reasons to the fandom to hate her, only if Kishimoto could make Sakura hit the Jack pot at least once!

I love you. Haha, yeah I agree definitely, and I do have a feeling Sakura's gonna have a big moment soon, I know Kishi won't let us down! And also - messing up is a big part of development, it helps people learn from there mistakes and how they could have done something better. I, personally, feel that Sakura doesn't regret not killing Sasuke because Naruto gave her hope that Team Seven can be, well, a Team again xD

QUOTE (Gravenimage @ Jul 21 2010, 06:35 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Even if Sakura saves Naruto's life, even if she saves Konoha, even if she defeats Madara, even if she brings peace to the world the anti fans will always hate her. So even if Kishi makes her the best heroine in the shonen genre she will still get flame and bash. Its the same thing with what you said about the pairing, even if NS becomes canon the opposite fandom will deny it they will continue saying that NH and SS is going to happen.

Efra@ don't feel angry to what the other fandom says the truth is there's NS development all over the entire manga and NO NH and SS development whatsoever it's all one sided.

Exactly. There's always gonna be an excuse. And-- yeah, we shouldn't care, at all, what other fandoms think of her because that just gives them more fire if we fight back; just stay away from them so they keep there mouths shut.

Oh, yeah. Something I heard from an anti-Sakura person on NF was "You shouldn't be a Ninja if you can't kill someone!" that was about how she couldn't kill Sasuke. Well, that made me think- Sakura was never really trained to kill- sure she can fight but she was trained to SAVE people's lives. Has Naruto ever finished off anyone? I think not. People that say such things should just go out and try to kill one of there friends who decided to desert them and see how easy it is. Sasuke was a friend to Sakura, a team-mate and her first crush, do people really expect her to just go in and kill him? No. Anyway, they should have expected Sakura wasn't going to beable to kill Sasuke from the get-go since it's been forshadowed over and over again that Naruo and Sasuke are going to be the ones to fight.

Oh, yeah love all the quotes above =P

If you ask me, guys, I think there's hate for Sakura because she shows that even more so than some of the other characters that she is the most human. She messes up yet she's always trying to do right by someone, to do better every day. The same can be said with Naruto, but it's more so for Sakura since her growth has come from seeing her teammates in very different lights than how she saw them in the beginning, since she sees Sasuke is evil and willing to kill even her regardless of their past now and Naruto as a hero and someone she loves too. It's why she wanted to be stronger; for both of them.

Let the haters hate...that's what they do. Maybe Kishi will give us even a bigger NaruSaku present when they officially become canon because of the haters...who knows. The only thing the keeps me thinking about NH/SS and all the others, is what is keeping them thinking about the succes of their pairings? I know that many of shippers are there shipping their pairing because they consider the pairing 'good-looking' or whatever, but the rest of them is just keeping their ideas that their pairing might happen and even trying to justify their point of view. I do not bash or hate any other shipper( I don't even think that hate really exists) but I don't uunderstand the meanings in their choices. Everyone has their own opinions, of course, and everyone has the right to show their support for them, but the other shippers are just taking it to the next level. Another thing that I need to ask, is why so many hate Sakura? Of course, in part 1 she was really an annoying 'brat' but I at least could never bring me to hate her...She mistreated Naruto, of course, but most of the times he was really annoying to her as well. It is as clear as the sunshine that Naruto doesn't remember any of the things she did to him, maybe realizing himself that he was a brat, so I don't understand why the haters keep hating. Sakura, really is the most realistic character from 'Naruto' and I think she really is lovable...after all, everyone needs love( Sakura <--> Naruto ) So right now, at least I, am waiting for any firecracker Kishi may show us while I'll let the haters hate wink.gif /end of 'mini' rant

By the way, I really have a feeling that the manga is rapidly going to its end. Right now we have displayed to us the history of 'what happened 16 years ago' , so what could be more to be shown?

Yondaime's history , Killer Bee vs Kisame , Madara, Naruto vs Sasuke and Naruto's and Sakura's child. Missed something?

I get the feeling Kishi's going to do another Sakura vs. Sasuke fight....may just be my wishful thinking, but SS fandom is still very much at large and they're saying that we're "desperately clinging to 484 as the end of SS" sweatdrop.gif Speaking as an author, I don't think I'd be able to finish a story without clearing that up and I'm hoping Kishi feels the same...

484 is the end of SS...Is not clinging, were just saying...if they want to live in denial then that's their problem but it is clear that Sasuke is not looking for any romance at the moment.

I agree with strangelove 484 was Kishi's way of putting the ( one of the stakes was from 483) final stake on the grave of SS. Sakura saw it first hand that the Sasuke she once knew, care and had a crush on is no more. He's a complete different person who wants to destroy Konoha and he's evil. Most important thing is that he tried to kill her twice, I'm sorry but if Sakura didn't opened her eyes from those two chapters then she must be insane or brain dead. There's no way she will be able to look at Sasuke the same ever again it wouldn't surprise me if she ends up fearing him, she wants team seven to smile again but that's because that's what Naruto wants NOT what she wants. She's being selfless like him everything she has done has been for Naruto's safety.

She wants to do things for Naruto, but she feels that they are just small and insignificant. But like Yamato said, is not what she does for Naruto that matters, is the feelings she has for Naruto that do. I think she has to confront Naruto about this issue of her, the idea that she feels like she cannot do anything for him, and i know Naruto's answer would be that she saved him from himself, from becoming someone like Dark Naruto who really hates everyone.

Lol, lets not get too overly excited we don't want any accidents...Anyways, I'd say we're still a long ways off from anything like that.(especially if Kishi draws out this boring flashback very long...)

It's never been an alternate fanbase that's worried me...It's Kishi's occasional lack of consistency with his characters...

I'm kinda getting sick of this fan war, what really bothers me is that other pairing are saying NaruSaku is like a brother-sister relationship. It just not so, there's too much evidence that proves their wrong, but they just try to twist your words and say, "Also noted when Shika *swoons* came into the tent where Sai and Sakura were talking, he said all they decided that they were going to kill sasuke. He was a friend to them all but they all agreed to do it. Even sakura agreed. But if someone was going to kill him she wanted the one to do it. Because she thought naruto was doing this for her, and she felt bad that she was just using him so she can have sasuke back. Naruto crazy enough to keep his word no matter what. She didn't want to use him for her own selfish reasons so like a good friend she decides she's going to shelter this burden she put on naruto on her own."

Lol, easy...There seem to be a few different problems with other fanbases.(and just like everyone else we have a couple delusional people as well maybe not here but I've met some on other forums) Many of them ironically have Naruto's same problem; they can't see past part 1 and disregard any progress that Sakura, and narusaku in general, have made. A great deal of naruhina fans are all very young as well and suffer from being the stereotypical fanboys/girls that ironically enough describe Sakura from part 1.(so focused on one idea or person that they are literally incapable of seeing anything else) And then of course some are just simply so obsessed that they gloss everything over in just the right way so that they can continue to believe in whatever they believe in...(believing that Naruto's and Sakura's relationship with each other is purely familial even given that there is substantial evidence to the contrary)(hell...I met one guy that believed Naruto did everything for Hinata... headscratch.gif )

I realize this post may come off as bashing other fanbases but that isn't my intention. It's merely problems that some of the fans from other fanbases have. I've met a few people that merely like other pairings and I have no problems with them. It's just sad that they are in the minority.

At least with the console wars (ps3 vs 360 anyways) you can just shove the 360s 33% failure rating in their face...(56% lifetime failure rate)

The most amusing part about it is that Microsoft removed the red LEDs. So technically, no one can say it RRODs anymore lol...I won't believe that the 360s can't fail until at least 6 months go by with minimal negative feedback though...

My only complaint with the ps3 is the poor quality of the ports. I'm wondering when people will realize that the ps3 is nothing like the 360 and you can't simply do a half-spirited port and expect it to run well...Sad when considering Uncharted 2 looks better than just about any 360 game we've seen. It's got the power just not people that can program for it. sleep.gif

Anyways...you can't get anymore off topic than this...END CONSOLE TALK
