Time to get my picks in.

AFC Championship
New York Jets @ Indianapolis Colts

Part of me wants to see Rex Ryan in the Superbowl, but I think Manning and The Colts will be prepared. The Colts defense will need to step it up against the Jets Potent Running game, make Sanchez win the game for them.
Prediction: Colts

NFC Championship
Minnesota Vikings @ New Orleans Saints

So, do I go with the Favre Magic, or the Domefield advantage? Minnesota has the best front 4 in football, and they'll need to get to Brees early and often. He gets the ball out of his hand quick, and can drive Defensive coordinators crazy. The Saints should look to get some screens and draws, those plays work well against an aggressive defensive line like this one. The Saints defense will have its toughest challenge yet, they're a suspect group, and Favre can tear them up. I expect this to be a close one. However, I think Mardi Gras will start a little early this year.
Prediction: Saints

Brett Favre was brought to Minnesota to take the Vikings to the Superbowl. However, Because of numerous turnovers and penalties, that won't be the case. Prepare for Vol.3 of the Favre Soap Opera. Congrats to The Saints, it's been a long time coming for that city.

Good luck against Manning though.

Well, it's a testament to the Minny defense that it took an OT field goal despite the offense turning the ball over five times (three lost fumbles (6 fumbles total) and two picks, especially that backbreaking one at the end of regulation, stupid, stupid descision). I've never seen so many fumbles.

Colts and 'Aints....At the moment, my pick is the Colts.

Well, the last pass favre threw in the 08 NFCCG was an int and he did it again this season.

On one hand, bandwagon vikings fans will dissapear. And now they must suffer though Favre's retirement shuffle. Im happy about that. But now gotta deal with Who dat. ugh.

And now for the new Minnesota fight song. Eh hem.

Ball on the ground.

Ball on the ground.

Vikings lookin like a fool when they put the ball on the ground.

Seriously though, too many fumbles.

Saints caught a ton of breaks, they can't expect that against Indy.

Which is why I think the Colts will win. Indy doesn't fumble that often.

I really hate the "WHO DAT" and "Saints are America's team" Christ it's damn annoying.

Lets see..Saints bandwagon..or the Indianapolis professional football team...

I guess I'll pick Saints, since they never won one.

Five fumbles. Harvin was down when he lost it the first time. (Unless I forgot one which is entirely possible.) And yeah, that was one of the worst decisions I've ever seen Favre or anyone make. The Vikes didn't deserve to win the game because of how their offense played.

But I'm even more ticked about the pass interference call in OT. It was uncatchable (which was what I thought the saving grace was live until I saw the flag come out) and Thomas tripped before Leber even got to him. He was backpedaling because he turned too soon and just couldn't keep his footing.

It's easy for me.

I've been suffering through the WHO DAT all year long. (Apparently, Saints fans have been saying it for decades, but this is the first I've heard of it. Even for their last championship game, it was pretty quiet.) And I'm gonna be carrying a grudge about that PI for a while.

I doubt that I'll even be in the mood to watch football for a while.

Normally, I kinda like the Saints. As much as I like any team that isn't the Vikes and isn't semi-local (from Florida). So they're about my fifth favorite team although that's a huge gap between the number one and two spots. But right now, I want them to burn in hell. (Yeah, I know. It's not their fault. It's the stupid ref and the Vikings' own fault. But they're the ones that benefited and a lot of their fans are being cocky kitten about it which is drowning out the moderate ones.)

actually, I have heard "Who Dat" quite often. I used to live in Louisiana, so I heard it a bit, though I never said it cuz I lived in Cowboys Country, 3 hours away from Dallas. But yeah, it's been said. For a while too, because the last time I was in Louisiana was back in 2002 when I was 12 & the last time I lived there was in 1998 when I was 8. You don't hear it often because when in the last 2 decades did the fans really get to say it, honestly?

But that's besides the point. After my 'boys lost last week, I wanted to see a Colts-Saints game & now I get to see one. Honestly, I think the Colts will win this one, but I would like to see the Saints win it. But my instinct is telling me that Peyton wants another one.

I, living in MN, saw a lot of my friends in Facebook being really pissed about whatever happened to the Vikings last night. I don't really follow football, but it did amuse me for a bit. It seems to be something justifiable though....

Favre is unlikely to return. We'll see about that, but for now looks like Donovan Mcnabb may have a trade destination.
