As I keep taking peaks at various episodes, one thing that really stands out to me is just how boring Boruto is as a character. There's nothing interesting about him and I feel utterly no desire to root for him whatsoever. And no amount of loading him up with "cool" abilities ever manages to change this. He's like a house made out of cards. He has the illusion of being something solid, but once he take a closer look at him, you realize his character is as thin and flaccid as the need for a Naruto sequel in the first place. He sucks. He's a crappy character.

Even though I don't want to hate, I have to admit it. He is like - like a slimmed version of Naruto, missing all his special attributes. Probably the Naruto for the "next generation".

What I've always hated is that despite what Madara went through to obtain more power, Hashirama just always pulled a giant wooden thing out of his ass when needed. Wood golem, 100 armed Kan'on, 1000 armed Kan'on. Like really?

 

Remember that Madara vs Hashirama OVA? I think that fight version was miles better than the one in the manga/anime.

then you look at someone like Madara. his past was interesting and his story with hashirama was solid You can take the broken abilities away from him like the perfect susanoo, meteors or rinnegan and he'd still be an interesting character.

 
Actually no he's still boring with other without his hacked abilities main cause kishi kept piling on his haxs powers. He's like harvest from the culling in the teen titans new 52 storyline or promethus from cry for justice where he took out every member for the justice League but was killed by an arrow to the face or harvest just got away without a sracth on him.

Why should we care about that Tidus whiner bolt he's not interesting like his awful sensei sasuke at least piccolo taught Gohan more in several episodes of one arc then sasuke did in what 5 minutes he trained him in the bolt movie. The new generation of naruto as a whole is boring even Sarada to a point.

I'm still wondering how Madara supposedly bit Hashirama's neck, switched his body with a clone when he was buried, woke up with the Izanagi (I think it was), vomited that skin piece and grafted it onto his skin.

It gets better. Remember when sealing each tailed beast into the Gedo Statue took 3 days for each, and longer when they had less than 10 members?

 

Madara did it all in like what, 10 minutes? He probably had enough time to grab a drink and a bag of chips!

For one thing he doesn't really have a goal for you to root for. Again the daddy issues bit is going nowhere till the chunin exams. Other then that he has a desire to be seen as cool -which is partially why he wanted to become Sasuke's apprentice- but that require one to actually like Bolt (also not help by everyone starting to worship him by the end of the arc; making that 'a goal that doesn't require much effort on his part.')

 

Another problem is that he isn't as interesting or likable as Naruto. Naruto, at his worst is a loud obnoxious moron, but at his heart he was a kind hard working energetic young boy. Bolt is normally a spoiled lazy arrogant brat who can never stop whining. Most of the time he doesn't come off as that, it is less to do with any other facet of his personality he may have, and more along the lines of "because that's how shounen protagonist normally behave in that situation," or "that's how Naruto would behave in that situation." He is slightly better in the manga but that's not saying much. Bolt normally comes off in the anime as a fanfic version of Naruto that the writer "made better," then his own character.

Its also why I think they keep Ash the same age, when you think about it same with the Simpsons as well, as they even said in the Sinmpons in Angelica Button series by Lisa, "No one cares for you adult life, once your a grown up its just another lame fantasy series."

Otherwise, he comes off some kind of self-insert wish fulfillment fantasy character. And that's basically what Boruto is. Like his mommy, his "flaws" are there only for show and to give him the pretense of being an interesting character. But he's not. He sucks. Big time.

 

And another thing I dislike is the damn Ōtsutsuki clan. Oh snap! Thanks to our decision to slap Naruto and Sasuke with endless BS power-ups, they are now a pair of walking demi-gods and nobody could've ever possibly threaten them . . . unless BAM new lore-destroying villains from outer space way way way stronger than any previous villain! Genius!  Why has no one ever thought of this before?

The Ōtsutsuki clan is by far more BS than the Uchiha and that is saying something.

This whole clan was living on the moon? Without air, food or water or anything of the sort? I have so many questions. The ninjas in space thing is probably the biggest jumping of the shark in history of anime. I have seen some doozies, but this one truly takes the cake because it is just so pathetic.Since when can Naruto breath in space?

Also, if Toneri was supposed to look after and prevent Kaguya from escaping....then where the hell was he when Madara was doing that kitten? I can get sealing Kaguya in the moon. I get that and that is cool, but the fact that some of these characters show up when their job entitles them to show up when said event occurs...it just shows how kitten Naruto is.

It shows that they just make up whatever whenever when the story suits it. Nothing was planned. Otherwise, why not have Toneri come down and steal Hinata when Kaguya showed up or be the bodyguard he was supposed to be.

Did he not care about the planet Earth?

i think that was because they were already sealed inside the statue before? but you know i loved it when tobi said the war was a huge waste of time and just put in the sealed gin and kin brothers and it turns out they didn't need the whole fox at all.

Oh, it's been a long time since I read that, but I thought that applied only to when Obito was controlling them. Even though Naruto removed the rods, they were still bound to the statue. But afterwards Naruto and the whole alliance ripped them out of Juubito so I thought they were considered "extracted" at that time.

 

I also didn't understand that whole half and half of this, 10% of that, a chunk of the 1 tails and 8 tails, etc. When did they become pizza slices?

Considering how minor a character Ao was, it's really not a big deal. Considering how little we know of Kara, comparing them to the Akatsuki at this time is odd. 

It's a big deal because how the heck did he survive a ten tails tailed beast bomb (which are the equivalent of a nuclear bombs) and this could of easily used a minor living character instead like C from the cloud, Baki from the sand or even one of the many minor leaf chunin or jounin character the series has shown.

Lets see they have similar cloaks, use holograms to communicate, structure of elite members and are tracking down ninja with with special abilities (seals instead of tailed beasts), the only original things so far is that they have a bigger more organised group of field operatives than the Akatsuki had with their associates.
