Both of them were pathetic. Sasuke kittens on Sakura, and Naruto doesn't do anything about it. Most likely he's glad that she won't separate the bromance, excuse me Romance he has with Sasuke.

Yeah, he doesn't want another repeat of the rooftop interference from Sakura. I mean, how will Naruto ever feel any satisfaction knowing that he rescued Sasuke from the darkness with help from an outside source? Look at all the progress he's made this far with Sasuke. He's not gonna let Sakura come in between that. No way! Naruto is so close to redeeming Sasuke and his amazing efforts will not go to waste!

Why should Naruto take responsibility for Sakura's stupidity ? He already has his own stupidity to deal with. Naruto was fine this chapter, he didn't cry, didn’t beg, didn't make a pathetic love confession and will oppose him in a battle, he shouldn't have to babysit Sakura.

WOw, like, did you really ever read the manga? You seem to look at it like many of the NH and SS Fandom do. Once a new Chapter gets out, the previous ones are forgotten and never mentioned. This Chapter killed SS and made us stumble a bit, but unlike them, we aren't dead- Period!

Alright then how can we recover from a blow like this?

What can Kishi do to fix this so NS wins over NH?

I agree. All of them just completely let Sasuke do and say whatever the hell he wants...

 

He says he's gonna kill Naruto (plus Tsunade before) - No reaction from Sakura.

 

He says all that kitten to Sakura and genjutsu's her (possibly with...okay intentions?) - No reaction from Naruto and Sasuke gets off with a slap on the wrist "Hey Sasuke! Don't genjutsu her!"

 

I don't understand this.

 

Sigh. And after all that, Kakashi has to go and say that Sakura loves Sasuke so much that it's breaking her heart?? No Sakura-chan, you're breaking EVERYONE'S (and our fandom's) heart - especially Naruto.

By the way, when Sasuke said "I’m not interested in her at all", is he talking about both the past and the present?

It's been a while since I've posted here but I'm going to give my two cents.

 

I'm not exactly pleased with where all of this is going. I am going to keep my fingers crossed because I do have a feeling that the next couple of chapters will really tie up some loose ends as far as where the relationships go. I see now that the subject of love has been brought up and it sort of seems like a foreshadowing of something to come. Not only that, but Naruto's promise to Sakura was brought up as well and I think that will also play a huge factor in something. Not sure what, but something. What I do know is that:

 

1. Sasuke has no romantic or any interest at all in Sakura. It's pretty obvious that SasSak will not be the ending product unless Kishi decides to do an asspull with Sasuke's feelings. 
2. Sakura spoke of her love for Sasuke in the past tense. Is it possible that she still might hold some romantic feelings even now? Maybe.
3. The idea of love transforming into hate. When that line was stated, Sakura's image was in the background. Could Kishi be foreshadowing to the possibility that this might just be the turning point of Sakura's feelings? This is the third time Sasuke has placed harm on her, so could it possibly be the last? Three strikes, you're out? Maybe?
4. Last but not least, Hinata is not in the mix of this. NarHin is not a threat at this point because she never had anything to do with the team seven love obstacles. 

 

As for now, I'm not jumping ship. I still have faith that something can happen. Sakura still hasn't gotten her full development since she's still conflicted when it comes to Sasuke and there needs to be a resolution to her feelings. Just as Kakashi and the Hermit stated, "The past is there to teach you a lesson". What could the past be teaching Sakura about her love for Sasuke? I think we'll get that answer soon enough.

You know Kishi is not gonna touch on that. He already threw a bone her way by letting her be a part of the Kaguya fight for that little instance. We shouldn't want too much out of Kishi even though he set the expectations so high for her character. We should be grateful.

Some of the aspects of this chapter were not too good,  however some of the art was... Superb.

I really loved this determined expression of Sakura.

Yeah that progress is amazing isn't it. I mean someone who is basically a fodder had the power to "change" Sasuke with a bedtime story while Naruto couldn't do anything. But hey Naruto will be the only one that truly opens Sasuke's eyes.

Yet again amazing writing from the one the only Kishimoto.

I agree that Naruto shouldn't take responsibility for Sakura's stupidity but come on, this isn't the first time Sasuke insults or treats Sakura badly right in front of Naruto, and he doesn't do anything about it.

As for Naruto begging and making a pathetic love confession, don't worry it's coming in the following chapters. Most likely it's going to be a lot worse than Sakura's, and I do mean a lot worse.

This had been brought up so many times over the years....

I think that ship sailed when she became a medic nin. Moreover, it's been the case since Part 1 that sharingan genjutsu is an entirely different animal. Only Bee has broken through and he needed a tailed beast.

I actually joked a long time ago that if Kishi and his wife got into a bad feud, he will rewrite the story and pretty much went to a different direction altogether.

Exactly. But what bothers me is that Kushina used to BEAT anyone who disrespected her. Sakura has taken all sorts of mental, emotional, and even physical abuse from Sasuke. Enough is Enough. I'm tired of the fact that she even cares or loves Sasuke as a friend.

 

Will she end up with Naruto? Whatever, that's up to their feelings. But for the love of god If I have to go through another Sakura loving Sasuke moment I might just drop the manga. No amount of friendship can forgive the abuse that he has constantly thrown at her.

Anyways, there are no translators in this site. The people who translate here are doing it for free and as a favor. So there is no such thing as "taking a day off". Or are you going to give us a salary?

 What the hell? Just because we translate it doesn't mean that it is our job or obligation. We have every right to enjoy this forum as much as the others.

But whatever. I dropped this manga last week and read it again in hopes that it might've gotten interesting. But no it didn't. I'm done.

The moment Sakura broke down and confessed she still loved Sasuke was the moment that her relevance as a character was completely gone.  I am saddened Kishimoto did not have the courage to truly end her and actually have Sasuke kill her. 

 

At this point I do not know how she will redeem herself, or rather, if.  I'm put off by Kishimoto attempting to write romance, it's rather flat and is supported by stereotypes, especially that of females.  

 

Evidence of past events in the manga do not easily evaporate however.  When one attempts to write romance involving multiple characters they also attempt to shroud the true ending of who gets with who. If this was his intention despite how poorly written this was...he hit the nail on the head.
